The kids were lucky to drive the boat a bit, and they were good sports with the older teenagers too. We saw lots of dolphins, and swam to an island beach where there were tons of shells. We had the best time on the Pontoon cruise with Captain Dave! The communication was easy and smooth from the beginning as well as a text reminder the day before. The arrival instructions were easy to follow and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. We saw dolphins playing in the Bay as soon as we left the dock! We took a ride around the Mangroves and learned a lot of information about the area, nature, & animals we saw along the way. Captain Dave took us over to the more secluded end of Keewaydin Island where we walked a short path over to the Gulf side. The water was beautiful. We saw iguanas and a turtle on our path. We swam and collected shells for about an hour and then headed back to the boat for a scenic ride back in. We passed some beautiful houses on the Isle of Capri and learned some history. We loved this excursion so much that we decided booked it twice! We were 2 weeks on Marco with the first week with 3 adults, 7, 8, 12 and 14 year olds and everyone had a blast! The next week the young ones left and it was adults and teens. Half our group did the sunset cruise which everyone loved and the other half did the sail and swim. One thing to note is that you can't go to the island with the pristine gorgeous shells in the afternoon because of the tide.
