Cool Beans Cruise!
Sue D.

Cool Beans Cruises never disappoint! I always cruise with them when I'm in Naples or Marco Island. Friendly crew. They always go out of their way to make sure everyone on the boat is having a fantastic time! Highly recommend them!

Captain Dan & Kyle were AWESOME! They were both very professional & personable to everyone on the boat! The dolphins were out, the weather was great & we had an AMAZING sunset! We would highly recommend Cool Beans Cruises to EVERYONE we know!!!

I highly recommend using Cool Beans Cruises! I found them on a Google search and loved the setup of the website. Additionally, information on availability, types of boating options and pricing was provided and ease for me to figure out what would be best for our family. I called and immediately they answered the phone. We setup a pontoon 2.5 hour cruise. Absolutely wonderful. Safety was a high priority for us due to having a toddler on board. Cool Beans went over all of the safety features and was very professional throughout the cruise. Margo our captain was amazing!!!! We saw dolphins, a turtle, beautiful birds, went shelling at Keewaydin and enjoyed the beautiful weather, saw some awesome yachts and beautiful homes. We will definitely be back!

We had the best time on the Pontoon cruise with Captain Dave! The communication was easy and smooth from the beginning as well as a text reminder the day before. The arrival instructions were easy to follow and we were greeted as soon as we arrived. We saw dolphins playing in the Bay as soon as we left the dock! We took a ride around the Mangroves and learned a lot of information about the area, nature, & animals we saw along the way. Captain Dave took us over to the more secluded end of Keewaydin Island where we walked a short path over to the Gulf side. The water was beautiful. We saw iguanas and a turtle on our path. We swam and collected shells for about an hour and then headed back to the boat for a scenic ride back in. We passed some beautiful houses on the Isle of Capri and learned some history. We had the best time! I would highly recommend Cool Beans Cruises to book with & I can't wait to book again the next time we come back to Naples!

They were very professional and knowledgeable. Everything was smooth from booking to checking in. Top notch. My husband even found the "holy grail" of shells...that's right a Junonia!!!!!!

Turns out you just have to look for their truck in the parking lot. That wasn't made clear at the time of booking. It was a fine boat ride, but felt more like a water taxi than a tour. We saw dolphins on the way to go shelling which was neat... but so did every other boat in the vicinity. We only had about 1.5 hours to go shelling which wasn't nearly enough time. Keewaydin Island was beautiful but we didn't have time to enjoy it. After our boat taxi ride was over we tipped the driver $30. Mind you this ride didn't include food, drinks (other than water) or snacks. A day later we got an automated email asking us for a tip (if we hadn't already). Mind you we did NOT take a private tour- it was two groups of 3 people. The email said: "If you have not tipped * Boat captains often rely on tips as a significant part of their income, particularly in the tourism industry where tipping is customary. A 20% gratuity or Minimum of $100 per Captain on Private tours is customary for this type of tour. If the captain was amazing feel free to tip more." Excuse me? We paid $370 for 2 adults and 1 child for a less than 3 hour excursion to Keewaydin Island. They were expecting an additional $50-$75 in tips? This was by far the most expensive boat "tour" we've been on, and we've done many- Italy, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Hawaii, California, Maine, and three others in Florida. I wrote the company an email bc they send out 2-3 emails afterwards asking you to leave a review... and if it's not 5 stars to email them directly. They never responded. Two sets of my in-laws were wanting to go on a tour in the coming weeks and we told them both not to waste their money on Sand Dollar Shelling. So now I'm telling you too.

Keewaydin Island - Look at these barnacles on this shell. So funky!

Keewaydin Island

(14 reviews)

Oh, you want to go to Keewaydin?…read more I would rent a boat. I would also recommend purchasing a boat, if you have the means. If you do not have a boat, there are plenty to rent - coming from Naples that is. I'm sure Marco Island has boats too. Don't like boats? Get personal with a jet ski or...stand up paddle board? Just don't plan on walking there. I would arrive early. When the weather is nice, the non-gulf side unofficial watercraft parking lot fills up quickly. I must have gone up and down the bay side 7 or 8 times trying to muster the gusto to park my rental boat in between (what looked like) very expensive, very owned boats. Even tried to park a boat in water thats moving? You can't inch up to it...its all or nothing. Good luck. Should you prove conservative in your boat parking endeavor, the "gulfish" side has plenty of room to throw and anchor and swim up. There are too many people swimming on that side to ram a boat up the shore. This is the route we opted for. Note: make sure your anchor is secure. Otherwise, you will be eating tuna from a pouch and having hummus and pita chips in such a nonchalant fashion that you won't really notice you are drifting....into the sandbar. That area is very not deep. Get on the island, hang at the beach, grab shells, and mingle with other boat people. Observe the many happy puppies in the water. Visit the food boat and enjoy burgers, grouper, and beer. Look to the gulf side and you can see into forever. Look on the bay side and I challenge you to find a car or truck (or road) anywhere nearby. As busy as it is at times, it is very peaceful. While we were here, the weather was stellar, the storms were to the north (Naples) and we had a fantastic show to watch while still basking in the warm sun's warm sunny warming glow. Now reapply your sunscreen, because your back (like mine) will get burnt in very little time. Keewaydin is a clear watered, soft sanded, and very relaxing escape from the 'ness of everyday life. Be on a boat. Escape the 'ness. Go to Keewaydin.

This spot has everything to offer from Flat Soft White Sand, Oodles and Oodles of Seashells, Starfish Sightings, Pup Friendly, and FOOD BOATS!! Yes you heard correct; a handful of Food Boats anchor up at this Island for your enjoyment! This Island itself is 7 miles long with endless actives to do! Most people bring their own entertainment such as Games- Grills- Booze- you can pretty much bring anything you want to fill your day! I would recommend taking Beach Chairs, Your Furry Baby, Umbrella, Frisbee, Any kind of Water Sport Games, and an Endless Supply of Booze & Snacks! Everyone was super friendly and interacted with each other! The Island does get pretty busy by 3pm we were side by side with boats lined up and down the whole River Side! On the Island you have the River Side aka where all the boats anchor up and then on the other side is the beach. There are trails that go from one side to the next; Be Very Careful of the small Thorny Stickers! They like bare feet and will cling onto you! We found so many different shells, sand dollars, and starfish on the beach side! There is a small sandbar also over there making for a leisurely walk in the Ocean! The Food Boats!!! This is the first time I have ever experienced a Food Boat and by how much I love Food Trucks I was over the top excited to see these! They sell anything and everything from Ice Cream, Brats, Burgers, Grouper Sandwich, Chicago Dogs, French Fries, Nachos, Grilled Cheese, Bloody Mary's, Long Island Iced Tea, Rum Runners, Beer, and Much Much More! The drinks are strong and the prices are great! Much better than Food Truck prices in SoFL! Most all of them accept cards! In a nutshell we had an absolute blast and if we lived on the West Coast this would be a weekend event for us for sure! You can not miss such an Awesome, Beautiful, Scenic Island! You are sure to have an amazing day!!
