I went on the 6 hour bottom fishing trip. The sea were forecast to be 3 to five feet. I called the day before to cancel but they refused. Seas were easily 4 to 6 feet. Twenty folks on board and easily 1/3 were sea sick including me, and in 70 years of hard fishing this is only the third time Captain had a hard time finding fish but that happens. I hooked three fish and landed two, neither were worth keeping . Nearly impossible to keep the bait on the bottom due to the swells On the upside the boat was clean and safe. We booked a sightseeing cruise with Pure Florida in April leaving from Tin City. We opted for a day time cruise, an hour and a half. We got tickets on line ahead of time, but they have a ticket booth as well. It was a tad slow to board, we opted to seat on top, under the shade (there's a canopy on half of top area). Wear sunscreen and bring a jacket. A hat might be a good idea as well. You're not supposed to bring food on board (we brought just water), but some fellow passengers brought trays of take out and had a spread. Not OK, but staff didn't say anything to them. You can buy snacks and drinks on board. There are also pretty clean restrooms located down below. This was supposed to be a more historical tour of Naples Bay, but I didn't feel like I got enough history during the tour, it's more focused on rich people's mansions, which doesn't interest me much. I thought the tour was a tad too talky for me. The Gordon Pass waterways was nice to enjoy, they gave up to take us closer to the ocean, which was disappointing for me. It also made for a shorter tour, way less than an hour and a half. The highlight for me was to see dolphins and some interesting birds as well as passing by mangrove islands. Downside, many boats speeding by, shaking the Pure Florida boat pretty well, not so pleasant for us. I would say it was a mixed bag. The cruise is pleasant, some of the other passengers not so much (had a guy behind with sound from the phone - whatever he was watching the whole time). I also didn't care for their music choices. A staff member offers to take pix of your group which is nice. If I would use Pure Florida again I would choose more of a nature type cruise. Had better cruise experiences than this one. Went on the sunset cruise with the Double Sunshine and Captain Alec with mates David & Renee. We had a great time, wonderful weather and a fantastic sunset. I'm so glad I brought a sweatshirt because it was a little chilly on the water. There was running commentary over the speaker system and the staff offered to take group photos, which was nice. The boat was packed! Come early to get in line if you want a good spot. For us upstairs on the left was the best to really enjoy the view but they do let you move around to take pictures once the sun is setting. The trip was a little over an hour and a half. Adults enjoyed the bar with snacks downstairs; there were a lot of young kids and grandparents as well. We enjoyed the ride and the view! read more

We took our visiting daughter, two teenage grandsons and their friend on the Dolphin Eco and Shelling boat tour. This was another positive experience with a Pure Florida tour. Yesterday we had Captain Chris and crew member, Braxton. Both were extremely friendly, accommodating.and knowledgeable. We found plenty of shells on Keywaydin Island and the water was perfect for swimming. Plus we saw lots of dolphins on the way to the Island and back. Favorite Boat Tour in Naples FL!!! Super friendly staff that's very knowledgeable in all the homes and environment around the whole area. They sell both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages on board. We recently took a 1.5 hour sightseeing/mansions tour of Naples Bay with Pure Florida, and had a great time out on the water. The trip departs from Tin City, so plenty of restaurants and cute shops to occupy your time before or after your tour. The narration was excellent as it gave a great overview of Naples Bay and useful insights of the mansions located along the water. The only negative would be that the boarding time took quite a while as there was a long line, but I guess that might be the norm during peak season. Having taken the tour, I'd recommend it to all visitors of Naples as it really is a pleasant trip, and you see a side of Naples you simply cannot see except by being on the water. We all enjoyed this trip since the weather was perfect, and agreed it's something we wouldn't mind doing again. read more

I purchased a Groupon and the booking process was easy. There were very little people on the boat maybe 10 total so it was fun to have so much space. This was on august 18 at 3pm so it is slow summer season in south Florida. The bar was great, we had plenty of Prosecco which were $10 each. I was already drunk getting on so to go on drinking made it fun. Captain Dan was really fun, and nice to look at too:) David was really funny and an amazing host and helpful, even after the charter was over he went out of his way to give advice. Charter was just the right amount of time. The only tip I have is common knowledge for anyone working in tourism: You will have to deal with all kinds of people, including someone like me that is drinking and trying to have a good time. Don't be a buzz kill. However we had an absolute blast, it was a great way to do an activity to celebrate my birthday and I'd love to do this again!! read more

Went on the 6 hour trip and the entire boat absolutely killed it! We caught numerous Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, and some grunts? Everyone brought home fish! Jersey guy caught a beautiful keeper Pompano. We had two anglers catch 23" and 25" Mangrove Snappers. Those things were huge!!We had a blast catching (and releasing) Amberjacks! Captain Thomas and Patrick put us on the fish and busted their butts keeping reels at the ready and piling the cooler with fish. Highly recommend booking a trip if you're in the Naples FL area. We had the best time on our dolphin watch/eco cruise. We saw two or three dolphins playing and we had a great captain giving us lots of information. My favorite was the private beach full of shells. We have taken 2 different trips with Pure Florida and both were excellent. The first trip the the Eco Shelling cruise. Our captain, Henry, was very knowledgable about the wildlife we saw (dolphins, ospreys, pelicans, bald Eagle, and many other birds). Once at the island, we had about an hour (maybe a little more) to explore. We went shelling and found some amazing shells! Great cruise!! Our second trip was the dog cruise, Bark on the Ark, which is once per month on a Saturday. We brought our yellow Lab and he had a blast! He swam in the Gulf, then we strolled and collected some shells. We will definitely return for more cruises with Pure Florida!! read more

This was an easy and relaxing excursion with a beautiful spot to chill, collect shell treasures, or take a stroll along the Keewaydin Island. The pontoon boat and crew were all about safety. They also wanted to make sure no one gets dehydrated so water was available at anytime. Our family had a great time that we talked about doing another cruise with Pure Naples. What a fun sightseeing tour aboard the Double Sunshine out of Tin City in Naples. The staff were friendly and outgoing making the experience even better. A one and half hour cruise along the Naples Bay, Gordon River to the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way see how the other half live! Luxurious homes line the water on both sides. And the stories you hear from the crew about the owners makes it fun. The wildlife along the way, birds, dolphins ...we love the pelicans. You can purchase drinks and snacks on board. We enjoyed our trip with Pure Florida around Naples Bay and up the Gordon River. The Double Sunshine was clean and well-kept, and the bathrooms were especially clean - probably helped that we were the first cruise of the day, but it was still a nice surprise. They do live narration every trip, and, while the main announcer may have sounded a little bit bored at times (I can't imagine how many times he has had to repeat the exact same thing!), the stories he told were very interesting, about the history of the area and the fancy houses. The crew also kept a good eye out for dolphins - we saw several! I especially enjoyed our young guide, Alec. He came to the top deck when they were running in "quiet mode" (when we cruised into a bay surrounded by the expensive houses). He was funny, enthusiastic, answered all of our questions well, and was just a pleasure all around. There is a sunshade over the top deck, but early in the morning the sun was at such an angle that we were still bathed in sunlight. It was not too hot on this March day though, so it was fine. It was easy to access our cruise boat from Tin City, and boarding was well organized. Would certainly do this again! read more

This is hard to rate as one entity. I have taken 3 trips and all were different, so I need to discuss each separately. Going chronologically: 1. First trip was the 3.5 hour calm water trip. Luckily the Gulf was calm this day and we ventured 3 miles out Gordon Pass and fished a amall reef. Had steady action and a fun trip for me and a new angling buddy. Probably rated a 4. 2. Second time was on the 4 hour deep sea trip. The Gulf was rolling with 4-5 footers and the ride out got the adrenaline going. We started fishing and got very solid snapper and grouper hits. I caught a 22 inch gag and fought another that a porpoise stole and something else big that broke me off. Loved this trip--definite 5. 3. Third time was less lucky. The captain thought the gulf was not calm, so we were relagated to the inside waters. Those are fun in a kayak but not in a 45 foot pontoon boat. We got mostly catfish and sheepsheads, with a few snapper thrown in. Not the fishing I paid $100 to access. I would not choose to repeat a trip on this boat unless I had young kids or weak stomached adults along. Rating no better than 3. May i recommend you target a boat at near shore Gulf trips. Not necessarily "deep sea" but pursuing better fish out on the nearest wrecks and hard bottom? I will give it a 4 but you need not take a Back Bay trip that ends up raising hardhead cats. read more

We bought a Groupon offer for the dolphin cruise, and it was definitely worth it. When we were on the tour boat, I forgot our tour included shelling time, so I was glad that was part of it. Otherwise, 3 hours out on the water might be too long. There was only one other couple on the boat with us, so we got our choice of where to sit and stand throughout the trip. They have a bathroom on board, but I prefer not to have to use anything like that again because it's hand pumped. I thought "drinks" like soda were provided on this tour because it says that on my Groupon offer, but they only had bottled water. We saw dolphins throughout the trip especially at the beginning and end. The tour guide was glad to follow and get close to any we spotted. At some point, he tried to make waves to have the dolphins play with us, but a larger boat came and disrupted that. We saw plenty of birds on the trip - mainly osprey and pelicans. The shelling part was surprising to me because we pulled up onto a mangrove covered shore and followed a path to the other side, which turned out to be a secluded beach on the Gulf of Mexico. I didn't realize we were so close to the other side after navigating through the bay covered in lots of greenery. I was glad that they provided us with bags for shelling. If you're looking for sand dollars, Keewaydin Island is one place to go for them. I had been searching for sand dollars all over in Sanibel and Ft. Myers and hadn't found a single one. We found one at Keewaydin, but it crumbled in my fingers. The other couple on our tour found more than one. read more

Took the sunset cruise in March. Was very informative with the staff talking about the history of the houses, canals, and boats in the area. The waves in the Gulf of Mexico were choppy so we stopped just at the entrance and had great views of the sun setting. It was much cooler when the sun sets so a light jacket is a good idea. I had a fantastic experience with Pure Florida on July 4th -- they blew me out of the water, pun intended. My boyfriend's dad set up a charter boat experience with our captain Sam so that we could all take a cruise around Naples and watch the sunset and fireworks. Our experience was incredible. Sam was very knowledgeable and fun to be around and he shared very interesting anecdotes about the wildlife and the areas we traveled around. He was also extremely cautious and made sure to set the anchor in a spot that wasn't crowded with other boaters (he said on a day like July 4th it was best to avoid any potential issues with drunk boaters and I'm grateful that he was thinking about our safety). Sam took us around the marina where we got to see some beautiful, albeit opulent, homes. Then we cruised around a shallow beach, where we saw THREE dolphins and we also saw a large stingray jump out of the water on two separate occasions. The entire experience was overwhelmingly positive and I would highly recommend both Sam and Pure Florida if you'd like to have a great time in Naples. read more

Real good 8 hr fishing trip. The problem was getting our filets. The captain spent (we left after 1.5 hours!!) cleaning the fish from one party. They had some special type of cleaning or something. Meanwhile, we all waited. Really messed up a good day. Recommend getting the fish filleted faster so we'd don't have to stand around over TWO Hours! Btw, the people with all the fish left a $5.00 tip for two hours of fish cleaning! I left a $40:00 tip and left with no fish. Bogus! read more
