I do love this school, but I'm am a little disappointed when it comes to the schools planning. My…read morestep-daughter has been attending this school since October of last year. The teachers are great, Especially Miss Kelsey. She does wonders with her Pre-Ballet and Ballet 1 classes! Such patience she has, its amazing! When I used to dance at another school when i was younger, they had given me a complete schedule when we signed up, when the recital would be, when the dress rehearsal were. My parents knew exactly what to expect for the dance year, knew when to plan vacations according to our schedule. Napa Valley Ballet doesn't not offer that. so be prepared for you child to possibly miss something if you plan ahead like I do. When it came to the recital, which they knew would be at the end of the "school year" in June. We didn't learn about the date of the recital until Mid April because they had not secured a location for the recital... Wouldn't this be something that they should have been planning since the beginning of the school year? The poor planning of the recital will also most likely lead to my step-daughter missing her dress rehearsal, The ONLY rehearsal, which is a whole week before the actual recital. My step-daughter is 5, and in two different dances, I DO NOT expect her to even remember what she is required to do a whole week ahead of time, if she can even make it.. The ladies who work the front desk never have any idea of whats going on. They can never give me an answer to any question I have. For instance, when they finally announced the date and times for the recital, the lady at the desk had NO idea if the tickets were on sale, or when they would be.. (the recital was less than two months away when i asked.) The poor planning of this schools events, and lack of communication at this establishment has lead me to look at other ballet schools for my step-daughter, which I don't really want to do considering my step-daughter loves her teacher and has become friends with the girls in her class. If the owner can step up, and take more initiative in her business, my step-daughter might possibly attend in the fall again.

They have adult /teen classes everyday after work ( from beginning to intermediate levels). Dancing is a great way to exercise for me. I would urge all the adults who have had ballet in the past or not and want to learn/ re-learn to join the classes with us. It's so much fun!!!

I can appreciate that my local neighborhood has a dance studio so close to my home in Cordelia! We…read morehave been coming here for 2 years. Through that time the staff has been amazing. Madi has worked with multiple instructors and we appreciate each and every one of them. They each have unique way of working with the dancers and they are passionate about what they do. They are all incredibly talented including The competition teams. They offer summer and spring camps. They also offer weeks to tryout multiple styles of dance and get an opportunity to see what your kid likes! We have done Hip Hop and are currently in Acro Techniques and Musical Theatre. This studio has personally built confidence, strength, balance, character, speed and even social skills and etiquette in my daughter .

She's changed from being a shy uncertain girl to a more confident girl. She gets so excited learning hip hop moves and learning a choreagraphed routine. Fast forward and now we're going to her first recital this weekend at a local theater. The teachers are helpful, encouraging and know how to work with other children's age levels and maturity. Parents are welcome to watch through zoom or peek through the door with glass. We look forward to more classes and seeing where her interests follow her. If you're looking for something for your child to look into, this may be the dance studio for them.

My daughter and my husband (her father) had a wonderful time with Christine Blanton teaching them…read moretheir Father-Daughter wedding dance. My daughter picked the music and Christine put together the choreography to match the words and beat of the song. Christine is a wonderful instructor and full of fun. She has a terrific sense of humor, and put the two of them at ease as she walked them through the steps, then danced them though the steps with music. She broke the whole routine into 3 units of about 45 to 60 seconds each - one for each lesson. Then the final lesson was putting them all together and polishing the presentation - where to be looking, how to keep in sync, how to look more graceful with their arms, and most importantly how to slow down, breathe and enjoy themselves. The lessons were a wonderful experience for the two of them, and Christine was terrific in her approach, her discussion of how to initiate each move (lead foot, hand and arm movements, head position), and key words in each portion of the song on which to trigger each series of moves. They received a standing ovation from everyone at the reception! People are still talking about it. This was a great experience and we would definitely hire her again, and would strongly recommend the same to anyone else for a dance for a special event.
