First time here, service was great! We had the spicy edamame, tuna to start both were very good. Sushi rolls we had Suki and Lor both were very tasty! The restaurant was clean, designed really nice and it was a great experience overall. They do take reservations if needed.

I was surprised to see a new sushi restaurant at this location that was previously Koi. I was curious to try it because we enjoyed Koi very much, especially the happy hour. They have transformed the interior with cushion seats lining the wall. Modern decor, one private tatami room and it looks like they replace the furniture. Dim lightning with romantic vibe. A nice place to take your first date! :-) OYSTERS - It was fresh with a nice presentation. The sauce was good and nicely incorporated with the oyster. CAMILA ROLL with shrimp tempura, scallop, lemon inside, topped with salmon and mayo. I don't see lemon inside the roll that often. It was a refreshing experience. UNAGI AVOCADO was average. The rice wasn't packed tight enough as grains of rice was falling off before the piece could reach my mouth. IKURA was also average. Not the best I had but wasn't bad. PARIS SASHIMI (16 pcs.) Pieces were cut on the thinner side but fresh. I was expecting to have more side stuff like sunomono salad or a bit more seaweed salad. It would also be helpful for the waitress to announce each type of fish. I had an idea what they are but my friend didn't. Also, this came at least an hour after we sat down. At one point, I wonder if they forgot it because it wasn't that busy when we got there. The waitress did apologize and offered us another bottle of hot sake or took off the one we had. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I think there is room for improvement. I hope to see that they will add special dishes or happy hour to the menu.

WHAT WE GOT: The Lor, The Phoenix, The triple trouble and pepperfin. The Lor was my favorite! they top it off with this garlic chili oil alongside the tempura jalapeño it just makes the best combo. It also has asparagus in it which made me tilt my head a little but it went so well with the roll. The Triple trouble has lemon on it and added a good balance with the other rolls, a good palate cleanser! The Phoenix was my next favorite, it had a hint of cream cheese with the crunchy garlic oil it and the fried leeks!! so yum. Looking to come back and try other rolls. The pepper fin was good, nothing spectacular. I like my pepperfin fatty. This had more of a bite to it. AMBIANCE/SERVICE: They replaced my old sushi spot but it didn't disappoint. Service was a little slow but attentive servers. Only two servers, one more would definitely help! The restaurant has a nice romantic vibe. Spent about $85 in total which wasn't horrible, always willing to pay for good quality fish.

The food here is sooo good but the service is so bad. Honestly one of the best sushi spots in sac but I've been here twice now and the service is horrible. They only had a few tables tonight and our waitress not once came up to us to ask how the food was or to refill our drinks. She came by at the end to drop the check off and didn't even offer us a box. I had to get up and go to the sushi bar to ask for one. I really hope they train the wait staff or hire better ones as this place could be amazing if they do.

Came here with my friend for dinner after driving by so many times. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful on the inside, lots of seating at the bar where the chefs prepare the food and there's tvs to watch sports (which we did for football Monday), booths, and tables too. It is a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The staff were super nice and friendly, the chefs were so great when it came to giving us recommendations and checking on how we were doing. We shared spicy edamame which has a decent level of spice from the chili powder they put. I ordered the Hinoka roll (recommended to me) and it was delicious! The food same quickly and was so good, will definitely be back to try more!

Cuter inside than I expected. Service was quick, food was tasty, and there's a parking lot. What more can you ask for!

Naoki is officially the new IT spot for Japanese! The husband and I enjoyed Koi (the previous Japanese restaurant that was at this location) and were saddened when they closed. Luckily, Naoki has filled this location and are dare I say, even better! The family and I popped in here for the husband's birthday lunch (father-in-law made a reservation for 11am but they were empty until about noon, then it got busy). The interior is gorgeous! Freshly renovated, tasteful, and clean. We all ordered bento boxes and were stuffed by the end of our meals. Bento lunch comes with the typical miso soup, rice, and salad. My two items were the chicken katsu and mixed tempura. The bento was great and delicious. We loved it! Highly recommend! We'll be back!

Wonderful ambiance with thoughtful touches. Fantastic service from beginning to end. Food was off the charts good. I got the 10pc omakase nigiri and was blown away by the quality and creativity of the food. Only place in Sac I know doing dry aged fish which adds so much depth and flavor.

We stopped by for lunch during the work week, and got bento boxes. The quality of the food is really good, and everything was fresh. Service was quick and fast, the restaurant is a good size too. It's a bit more upscale than most of the casual sushi spots around this area, so for that I would return.

The rolls were all fresh and tasted good! We tried the triple trouble, OM, and spider rolls. liked the OM roll the best. I enjoyed the crispy fried burdock on top with a little bit of smoky flavor with the fish inside. The presentation of the rolls were very appealing. The tempura was very light and airy with the right amount of crisp.

I stopped by for lunch and got a bento with tempura and teriyaki beef. It was tasty and a lot of food. The meal started witb miso, which was nice on a cold day. The tempura did have more batter then I would have liked, but it was very freshly fried. The steak was a decent portion and not overdone. Salad a tad over dressed for my liking but it was nice to have a fresh side.

We very much enjoyed our dinner there a few days ago. They did a nice job with the remodel that now includes a tv viewing bar area. Really though, it's about the food. We ordered the NY nigiri, tempura moriwase and chicken karaage. All were outstanding! Service was on par and we enjoyed watching the AI server bring out the beverages. A great Monday night!

Had a date night with my lovely girlfriend and I decided to give this place a shot. For starter the restaurant is very cute on the interior, definitely a good ambiance. We started our night with the spicy edamame & Wagyu Nigiri. The edamame was not spicy at all to be honest more so garlic flavor. I would have loved more spice and hotter in temp. As for the nigiri, they were well portioned slices with a beautiful sear. They were a bit too fatty for my liking but overall a tender and flavorful cut. Finished off with the beautiful Hinoka roll and it was definitely tasty. The mayo topping was a bit too much for me but the lemon definitely balanced out the roll. As for the service, not top tier to be honest we couldn't tell if a woman or man was our server. They were bouncing in and out from our table so it was hard to tell who was our actual server. Overall this was a nice venture but not sure on whether we would come out of our way another night.

Served with wasabi and accoutrement. - This took forever to come out. When she finally served it to us, it was warm. Sushi rice had a good texture but the fish was warm. We sat at the bar area so, we didn't see how it was being made. My husband and I thought they probably forgot about our order and was sitting out for awhile. Butterr-y tuna. Different textures bursting with different flavors. Drank the leftover sauce! Lol. Tuna seemed fresh. Ngiri Mix $48+ (2 Orders) - We decided to give this another try. This time they sat us where all the chefs were making the dishes, so I finally saw how they make ngiri. There is 1 guy who makes it and I didn't like how he would make the ngiris but was not served asap. He would make about 3 sets at a time or some thing like that. The time from when it's made and time where it's served is too long. That is why the fish is warm by the time it got to us. Also, we didn't see a fridge where he was making it but it could be underneath around his leg area. I'm a little disappointed. From all the sushi documentary's I've watched, this is not how it's suppose to be. I regret ordering the Ngiri Mix again cause the fish was warm. Same like last time! I read other reviews where people have said the quality is going down. Even though, I am not a regular here, I can kinda tell that it is. My favorite are ngiri's and it doesn't beat Kura's ngiri's right now. Kru just give's bigger portions but the quality of Kura's is superb! Shiozake Salmon $26+ Springtime congee, furikake, truffled English peas, basil oil, and pickled radish. - DELICIOUS. Crispy salmon skin, tender and butter-y salmon, congee does have a springtime taste and is the perfect texture. Every ingredient complimented each other. Would love to squeeze a little lemon to cut out the fatty taste at the end. From our experience, all the specials have been a hit! Ibérico Kashira Kushiyaki $16+ Den miso tare, basil-mint pistou, grilled lemon - SO-SO. Pork was tender but was wayyy too salty. Kru's ambiance is dark, chill environment with lights shining down on where it matters like the food and selfie pics lol. It can get loud when it get's busy. Mos def chiq and aesthically pleasing. Every little detail from the ceiling to the floor, table setting, mural, bathroom, and even menus were all BEAUTIFUL! SPECIAL SHOUT OUT: To all the resto staff that helped us for both nights. You guys are amazing! Friendly, awesome smiles and knowledgeable. Thank you for your top notch hospitality. Since that visit I have returned three different times, always bringing someone different to show off this excellent restaurant find located near 73rd and Stockton Blvd Engawa Fusion is such a special place-this restaurant is over 30 minutes from my house in Natomas in traffic ,yet that never stops me from trekking my way across Sacramento-I love this place that much. On this particular visit we started with 2 different sushi tacos-We had the tuna version and the salmon version-each priced at $11.00. Now I could write a novel explaining the virtues of these culinary creations but I will keep it short-the tuna and the salmon tacos are such the perfect bite-well balanced-well seasoned-surprisingly heavy in the hand while being light to the taste-it's truly been my favorite new food item discovery of 2026. Next we went with the Stir-Fry Udon and this cost us $16.00. I've described this dish in the past as a dish I could eat every day of my life and would be a very happy person. The flavor and seasonings are flawless, the noodles are cooked perfectly, great chew-a very slurpable noodle for sure. I can easily see why this dish is such a popular item on their menu. This restaurant was given a spot on Yelps Top 100 Places to eat in 2025-nothing in this visit did a thing to show that honor wasn't well deserved. In closing-I don't know if I could recommend this spot any higher and I plan many future visits whenever I want to show people how amazing the culinary experience in Sacramento has truly become. 10/10 experience.
