I enjoyed the mango sriracha so much I retuned after eating my dinner. Each slice of bacon was $5.00 (its about 18 inches of a thick cut of bacon) so I ordered the mango sriracha and the pineapple Li hing mui. However, after being offered an additional slice for $2.00 more, I chose peanut butter as well. A plain piece of bacon is taken out and generously ladled with the flavor you choose. The mango sriracha was hot but not uncomfortably so - and, if you wanted to kick it up a notch, you could add chili pepper flakes (I chose not to). The peanut butter was my least favorite flavor. It had chunks of peanuts in the sauce poured over it that clung to the bacon. Just not for me. Lastly, the pineapple Li hing mui flavor was super delicious! After drenching the bacon in a thick liquid pineapple concoction, Li hing mui powder was generously sprinkled over the entire piece. Yum! Yum! Yum! After trying all three flavors offered, I'm looking forward to seeing these guys again! I'm a sucker for bacon. But bacon on a skewer!? I'm so down! (Sorry no pictures of the bacon! While chatting with one of my new friends at a table I noticed another person munching on a item that looked very interesting. It turned out to be bacon on a stick. I was informed by the individual that it came in three different flavors. After spending time with my friends it was off to spend time with my cousin and her husband. While they stood in line at another food vendor I had used my IG video to tape the employee from Wild Candy Bacon Company drizzle a stick of bacon with one of the flavors. It looked so interesting that I stood in line for some bacon on a stick. I noticed on the menu board that it was $5.00 for one stick or 3 for $12.00. I opted to try all three flavors: mango sriracha, peanut butter, and li hing pineapple. Watching the employee drizzle the first stick with the mango sriracha and he says "I believe you will be the last one to receive the remaining sriracha glaze." He then asked if I wanted some pepper flakes on it which I declined. The second bacon on a stick was drizzled with peanut butter sauce and then altered sprinkled with chops of peanuts. The last stick was drizzled with a glaze that had chunks of pineapple and the li hing powder was sprinkled on afterwards. I took my purchase and walked around to find a spot to eat. I took a bite of the li hing pineapple flavored bacon and the bacon was nice and crispy. The glaze was sweet and I made a mess out of myself. Drips of glaze all on my pants and sticky fingers too. I ate the mango sriracha second and can taste the hotness. It was delicious. The last one to eat was the peanut butter bacon on a stick. That one was okay. Overall I enjoyed the mango sriracha and the li hing pineapple. I just need to remember to grab some napkins the next time around. I was actually a huge fan of bao boys and became a regular until they disappeared from the face of the earth :( I haven't given bao tao'n a try until recently when I found out they also served lobster Mac and cheese for a whopping $14. I kinda wish there was a smaller portion of it and maybe if the plate wasn't so long/rectangular it might be easier to transport home. But anyway the flavor of this was really good and it was filling! The lines was really long but as we got closer to pay and order. We kinda saw why the line had a hard time moving. Turns out the father was in charge of ringing people up and had a hard time with the credit card machine which led both people super frustrated (the cook that was probably the owner and the father the cashier). Luckily I wasn't in too much of a hurry so it was bearable but it was also understandable too. I haven't tried any of the baos but I think I'll stick to the Mac and cheese if I do see them out. My husband ate them cold a few days after since I had some left overs and devoured it.

I ordered two items out of the 3 displayed. $11 for two KFC baos, they were actually a pretty good size & $14 for the lobster Mac n cheese tots. Korean Fried Chicken Bao- Very mild and sweet. I feel like It needed something spicy to kick up the flavor. My bao had mostly pieces of thick fried batter and not much actual chicken. The chicken itself reminded me of sweet and sour chicken from like a Chinese buffet or Panda Express. I wasn't getting anything "Korean" in it. The bao was nice and warm but everything else in It was cold. I know this is the most efficient way to serve a long line of customers though. Pre-frying most of the chicken before assembling the baos. With all of that in mind, It just wasn't something that I liked. Lobster Mac n tots- I enjoyed this more than my bao, tots came out fresh and hot. Nice chunks of lobster, and that cheese sauce was really good. It looks like the macaroni wasn't actually tossed into the cheese sauce, rather the cheese sauce was poured not top of the lobster and macaroni. I kinda wish It was all mixed in together, that way the cheese sauce can actually cling to the macaroni. Sometimes I would get bites of macaroni and It had no flavor, then the cheese sauce just sunk to the bottom. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes after eating I got sick. I started feeling really hot and clammy. Got dizzy and nauseous. I don't want to say for sure that It was because of what I had just ate, but I can't think of any other reason I would get sick so suddenly after eating. With that being said, I thought I would like It better, everything looks so good but fell short in flavor. Getting sick was the icing on the cake.

Only problem I had was that, since he was working by himself and doing all the orders back to back, I think he charged me for the wrong order. I thought I saw the price for the Quesadillas at $18 on the menu board, but he charged me $35.36. There was a lady waiting for her order next to me and she had ordered multiple items, so I believe he got ours mixed up. I didn't notice until I got home and checked my receipt on my phone. I don't live close by, so it would've been a hassle to go back to the Farmers Market to get it adjusted. Anyways, at least my Quesadillas were good!

I do have shellfish allergies so don't eat much seafood though Tako is Octopus in Japanese is something that I can have but don't eat as well is found in this yummy treat famously found in Osaka is conveniently right here in Honolulu daily from 12 noon to 7pm. With several fun and unique offerings including Tako-sen which you have three pieces sandwiched between to Tako rice crackers probably giving it a nice crunch to the delicate takoyaki bites but since it's mom's favorite I decided on two "Original Takoyaki" and "Black Truffle Oil & Mayo" which is their current special sounds too bougie to resist. I did have one of the Black Truffle special without the Tako and loved it as it was nice and definitely had the ruffle flavor yet still so flavorful and delicate. Mom says the size of the Tako was very generous and loved it where she couldn't stop eating them. The other thing I really loved is the packaging where many serve them in boats that makes it so hard to transport if you're driving while these were perfectly packed making it very easy and stress free. The vibe is chill as the gentleman was nice as I placed my order and literally just took a few minutes and know that I can easily find them here is nice versus searching around for the current location and hope it stays that way. This food truck used to be at the Mapunapuna area, but has found a new home across from Ala Moana Center. Jan is the friendly face at the window of Seoul Grindz. Her husband, Robert, is the creator of the beautiful Strawberry Bingsu. It was topped with vanilla ice cream and Graham cracker/macadamia nut topping and lilikoi puree. It really hit the spot! I would return for the Korean Street tacos, bulgogi plate, and the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich! Everything sounds delicious!

They have $5, $7 and $10 bentos for sale, and also sides like spam musubi, taegu (somewhat spicy, but very yummy), and potato salad (using purple sweet potato). The selection varies. My favorite $5 bentos are the Korean chicken (sweet sauce), jap chae, and meat jun (it comes with a packet of gyoza sauce, which is perfect for the meat jun!). They are just the right amount of food and always hits the spot. They open at around 11:00 am and are busy since a lot of the construction workers from the two tall buildings across the street like to eat there. I have not tried the $7 or $10 bentos yet, but it looks like a nice amount of food, so still a bargain.

The roast pork is delicious as well. They've got all sorts of live seafood as well. They also do a whole roasted pig for the big celebrations. Not many shops still offer this. Service here was pretty fast & friendly, and basically this shop is a grab & go kinda joint. The day I came here I picked up half a Roast Duck, as well as a pound of Char Siu for my dad. What can I say about the grub? I did not partake in the Char Siu so I cannot say how it tasted, but as for the Roast Duck the marinade tasted on the saltier side. Although the price they charged for their Roast Duck was very competitive, the Roast Duck was not as meaty as the Roast Duck I would buy from other places I normally patronize.
