She met my moms dog Louie and started walking him and I would get daily status emails and pics of Louie when they were out and about. I adopted a rescue during Covid and it was very rewarding, but extremely difficult. She had been severely abused and although she is never aggressive or mean, she has issues trusting people. Rightfully so! But she absolutely loves dogs. I couldn't get her into a trainer because they said she needed to start with doggy daycare to socialize her which made sense. We were staying in the Schaumburg area (in town from California) and tried numerous doggy daycares and got rejected. No one would take her in because she was shakey around people. It was heartbreaking because I knew she had so much potential, but didn't know where to take her. When I found Playtime Pup Ranch, it was a good 30 minutes from where we were staying, even though there were so many others near us we had tried, but weren't successful. But so worth the drive! I brought her in for her evaluation, awaited nervously for the call to see how she did, and when it came, I was shocked and overjoyed. They reassured me what I already knew but was starting to doubt, that my Winnie was such a sweetheart and absolutely LOVED dogs! Yes, she didn't care for people as much but they said that will take time and that she absolutely had a home here. We bought a package and I brought her as much as I could while we were home but sadly, we had to return to California a few months later. I still kept her package and when we come home for the holidays, I will absolutely be returning! I hate that we wasted time on other daycares and wish we would have found this sooner, but love that we found Playtime Pup Ranch. I wish we could find an equivalent out in California! The staff is amazing and so so friendly, they put the dogs and their needs first, and the cameras to watch your dog while playing is such a wonderful touch! It was astonishing to me that a dog who loved playing with dogs was getting rejected at doing so. Playtime Pup Ranch gave my sweet girl the chance she deserved and I watched her improve immensely! Animals are Sarah's passion. She was caring and conscientious from the first time she came over to meet our 'kids' (Bacon, George, and Qui) pics below! She asked about feeding, walking, sleeping, and overall quirks of our dogs. We rescue older dogs and they come with some special needs but mostly just spoiling. Sarah is so good at spoiling my only fear was our dogs would love her more than they love us. Lol! I can't say that was far from the truth. We are having Sarah again in July/August and I'm at ease booking our tickets because I know I have someone who will care for our dogs as well as we do and that's so nice!
