Lunch visit this past weekend with my kids. I believe they're trying to minimize personal contact by having folks order at tables via a QR code on the menu brochure. Why the conclusion? The counter attendant looked pissed we would even think of going to the counter to order! What freaks we are!! Nando Peri Peri offers chicken centric fusion cuisine (Brazilian and South African) with various degrees of heat via their sauces. You can also bring sauces to the table Three of us ordered the Rainbow platter: chicken, rice, pickled cauliflower, cucumber, cherry or grape tomatoes, avocado, hummus and feta cheese. One ordered a chicken platter with fries. Despite the initial confusion and condescension,, food was excellent! Best part of the deal? Most of the menu is friendly enough to give my daughter a great option for dining out despite some allergies. Decor is simple and seating is comfortable. Oh, the food was great! read more

I don't usually go to Nando's a lot but if I do, I love to get the chicken bowl! I like how balanced it is and it is pretty filling! Additionally, if you are a saucy person you can get more sauces to add to your food. They have them on the side and you can add as much as you want to onto your bowl. Sauces range from garlic medium to extra hot sauce so there's bound to be a sauce for everyone to enjoy! Service was good too. We sat inside and got our food relatively fast and we were checked up on pretty often. Note: I didn't know Nando's had a happy hour menu but it looks pretty good and I would love to visit again to try it! For the happy hour, it's available from now until mid July. read more

Getting here can be a bit of a pain; you have to find parking and walk all the way up there. Almost all restaurants around this one have closed. This is such a cute shopping area, but just not popular anymore. I hope someone is able to figure out how to make it more friendly for people. The restaurant - was very empty at the time that I went. The server was very kind, but not very sure of herself or knowledgeable of the menu, etc. I could tell she was younger and didn't have a lot of experience (she was super kind though) The food - it is always good; this chicken is delicious and I love their sides. The only down-side is that the sides feel a little small compared to the amount of chicken. I sure hope that Nando's can stay here and that more businesses settle in this beautiful shopping center. read more

I recently stopped at Nando Peri Peri (Towson). It's located directly across from the Towson Towne Center in Towson Square. Nando Peri Peri is South African (SA) based cuisine. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and inviting the interior was. It was as if I stepped into someone's really chill/ laid back home. Vibrant colors everywhere, impressive lighting fixtures throughout the space, vaulted ceiling and a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional. The associate explained what the Elite event entailed and she walked me through all the options available. I truly appreciated that. She even let me taste the sauces b4 making a selection (I opted for Mango Lime). I was also allowed to taste the two juices they offered. SCORE!!! On to the grub-a-dub-dub: 1. Combo & 1 Side: 1/4 Chicken Breast w/ Mango & Lime sauce. The chicken breast was grilled nicely. The meat was moist and full of flavor. A great sized breast for a meal. SCORE!!! 2. I also got an order of PERI Chips (french fries). Crisp on the outside, pillowy inside. Perfect. SCORE!!! 3. To wash everything down, I grabbed a Pineapple Limeade (I mixed the two drinks. EXCELLENT CHOICE!). SCORE!!! There was also a massive condiments area where you could grab pre-packaged utensils, ketchup, napkins and a wide array of sauces you could prepare yourself (w/ the dipping cups provided). The flavored offerings were: a) Lemon & Herb [mild] b) Wild Herb [medium] c) Garlic [medium] d) Straight Medium and e) Straight Hot. I got Sample's of every flavored sauce and left the straight sauces alone (not a massive fan of heat). They were all tasty but BOY-o-BOY, they all STILL had some heat in them. Hooo-wee!!! I was introduced to Nando's in the 90's when I visited London. What I do remember was that I was impressed. I never visited Nando's again. After all these years I came across this location and I wanted to bring up old and tasty memories. A server welcomed me and said I could order at the table or he could help me out. I was seated at the table and was instructed to scan a QR code to order with my phone. I ordered my food a bowl and wings and shortly the items were delivered at my table. It felt like I was ordering out while still at the restaurant. I had already paid for my order after I made my choices on my phone. So after I was done I just left. It felt weird, like a food court at the mall. It didn't have a restaurant feel or experience. The food was okay, the wings were tender and the bowl was filled with fresh ingredients, but flavor wise, it was blend. I know I had the chicken leg back in London, maybe I should've ordered that again. Maybe another time to give it a shot, but then I will do take out and eat it in the comfort of my hotel room. My sister spoke very highly about the Peri Peri lemon herb wings & she is very picky about food! However, I would rate the wings 6/10! They were old like they made them this morning a reheated them for my PM order. I also got the Red skin mashed potatoes 8/10, cauliflower and brussels sprouts which were 2/10! Nice place to get something to eat. I had the extra hot chicken and boy was it delicious. I tried the Peruvian rice for the first time. It had a nice spicy taste to it but, not sure what made the texture gritty. I am very particular about the textures of good sometimes. I think I would not get the rice again. It was very different. I placed a take-out order using the online ordering system. I was supposed to receive my order at 4:06pm. I didn't receive it until 4:37pm. I tried the charred sweet potato and cinnamon sugar for the first time. It was awful and looked very unappealing. Looked nothing like the pics on their website. I honestly wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. I also ordered the full chicken platter and was supposed to receive 2 large sides but one of my sides was a regular one, not large. The service wasn't good and the food did not make up for it. The girl who was getting the orders ready and putting them on the shelf put my order on the shelf even though I was standing right there waiting for more than 1/2 hour. I have attached pics of the inedible charred sweet potato I received. I submitted a complaint and I will update this review if/when I hear back from management. 11/2/2021 update: I heard back from the GM of the restaurant I visited. My friends and I stopped here for a quick lunch for the our friend's graduation and everything was so good. When you come in you can sit wherever and order with the QR code on the table and then everything will be brought out to you. The staff was so nice and and it was a good aesthetic inside. So we have been going to Nando's for quite some time , mostly in the UK . Every time we come this way we try to pop in . The chicken is always hot and the sides are a good size . It's an easy menu with just enough variety especially if you don't feel like chicken. Tonight we finally got the Brussels sprouts. Fantastic food at a fantastic establishment! I 1st chose this place a few years ago when  I chose this place to meet with the good girl friend of mine so we could get caught up and have lunch together and I'm so glad I did! This place was a home run and she loved her food just as much as I did! I ordered a quarter dark meat chicken with brussels and my girlfriend ordered a quarter white meat chicken with brussels and mashed potatoes. We were silent for at least 15 minutes as we devoured this food that was given to us! And I even got a specialty drink, anyone who knows me knows I typically don't buy drinks... Juices, Etc. I am so glad that I did! And most importantly in my book, customer service was fantabulous!  Initially I was greeted while I was still coming through the doorway and same when I left!  Staffing, brought us anything that we needed, and even offered us dessert! I was too stuffed for dessert!  First visit, we both received free appetizer coupons to return back!  I couldn't wait to return! The parking situation isn't the best, but definitely isn't the worst! It's garage parking and they validate. What validation Park is only $2! What more can you ask for knowing that your car is indoors and safe? What a change this place had since the last time I've been here! Wow! This place is fantastic! The service was fantastic, everyone was super friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. You order up front and they give you a table number to sit at and they bring you your food! The food was delicious and well seasoned and reasonably priced and proportioned. The food flavors are dynamic combination of tangy to mild to hot, your choice of temperature. There are four flavors for the dishes. The Rosé Sangria was do good as it was not overly sweet. Every dish is freshly made and you savor it all in a cacophony of flavors, especially with the Golden Cauliflower! The super-seeds atop the sweet chili sauce covered cauliflower made this dish for me. The staff were extremely attentive as each person who delivered our dishes came back around and inquired about our satisfaction; this rarely occurs. I love Nando's! This is one of my favorite places to go for dinner in Towson. There is always great service, everyone is so friendly. My latest visit was for the "Nando's dash" in which we got to choose a free chicken meal- a sandwich, pita, or a quarter chicken. I always go with the chicken pita in general, so that's what I got, and I got fries with peri-peri sauce. My favorite sides include the fries, peas, mashed potatoes, and Brussel sprouts (seasonal). The only thing, expect to be paying around $15-20 if you want sides with your food (it adds up fast!) The desserts are okay at best and a little overpriced. Since you are in Towson, you can find somewhere else for dessert easily. read more

I like the location of this store even if I had to pay extra for parking (it's discounted if validated). Sometime's it's the only thing we do there! LOL. My whole family loves Nando's! The adult because of the sauce and the kids love the plain chicken. When in a big group, we order the family meals and we can spend more or less $120 for a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. They don't always require tips because you need to order yourself, and refill your drinks as usual. That's the best part actually. LOL. read more

When we ordered they charged us for 2 sides when we only wanted one, they gave us fries as the 2nd side which we didn't want or order. And again, these fries are room temp and not cooked enough, floppy and soft. Chicken was good as always. Shocked at how good the roasted turmeric cauliflower is! I used to love Nandos, but the service has been greatly lacking for a while. It is almost guaranteed that they will forget at least 1 side or entree if there's more than 2-3 items in an order. I am disappointed that during my most recent visit I had to wait over 40 minutes for chicken wings. 2 couples that ordered after me received their to-go orders before I received mine, and the employee tried to mislead me by saying they had called ahead of time even though I had watched them order after me. The greatest disappointment was when I saw how tiny their wings have become. I used to go to Nandos to receive thick, meaty wings that I felt were deserving of the price Nandos charges, but the wings are minuscule compared to the French fries. They tasted too burnt to taste the sauce and was unworthy of finishing. read more

I was back at Nando's in Towson tonight to pick up some chicken for dinner. This location has a few drawbacks, but I think it's a pretty good option for a fast casual and healthy dinner! The drawbacks? The location is next to the movie theater in Towson, and there isn't a parking lot. There is the garage, and you can park there and then walk through the walkway that takes you to the movie theater or to the restaurants. I'm not sure how long the parking is free though; we got our chicken to go and it took us 21 minutes - so our parking was free. If you're eating there, you might have to pay to park. The second is just that this location can get swamped. But the customer service has been really good both times I've picked up food here. But it might be worthwhile to order ahead and pick up if you're in a hurry. The good? I like their menu and their food! I've gotten the 1/4 chicken and a side each time I've gone (when you order the 1/4 you can choose between leg and breast - but I'm a leg girl for sure). Choose your sauce/spice (I've been happy with medium, but I think I'm upping the spice next time - medium is not very hot) and your side! If you're not into just chicken, they have sandwiches, salads, and more using their chicken! The restaurant itself is pretty big and quite nice - but I've taken mine to go both times. But the food and the service is great - definitely a fast casual place that will stay in our rotation! read more

I wish I took pictures of the chicken and sides we got but honestly we scarfed it down super fast. Next time I promise. But the Real Winner here is the sauces. Words can't describe how good they are. We ordered takeout from Nando's Peri-Peri today. The order was not ready for at least 10 minutes after the time we were told it would be, but they only put one chip in the bag for the three meals that we ordered. If we had not checked the bag before we left the restaurant, we would've come home minus 2 chips. Also, the picture below shows the size of the thighs that we received. First off the food here is REALLY TASTY. Service is quick and folks are friendly. Portions are minuscule compared to price. My son had two very small skin on Chicken Thighs ( maybe 6oz total) for $11.50 that came with one side, pretty bland Portuguese Rice. Turmeric was the only taste that was present. My Chicken Breast Sandwich at $9.95 couldn't have weighed 5 oz., but was cooked perfectly. My Portuguese Roll was slightly charred. And my fries were good. The Wings were fairly priced and very, very tasty. The barely baked Brownie was kind of on the small side but none the less surprisingly good. Loved the Music, and loved the taste. But feeling like they have raised prices and cut portion sizes with these inflated prices and smaller portions. read more

I. love. Nandos. I originally heard of this place while I was visiting my cousins in London; they claimed that Nando's is a big thing there and I couldn't leave without trying it. In fact, one of them said their version of "cracking open a cold one with the boys" was "Nando's with the lads". So when I heard there was a Nando's chain in the area I had to go. Twice. This is a fast casual restaurant where you order your meal at the front and then it is delivered to your table. This place specializes in Portuguese chicken, but what really makes it special is the SAUCE. The sauces come in different flavors and you can find them near the utensils area. They range in flavors from spicy to non spicy and include things like lemon garlic as well. The sauces are tangy and have a bit of a kick to it, and you won't find flavors like these elsewhere. I take a handful of these bad boys back to the table because why limit yourself to one sauce?? In addition, the chicken is very juicy and well cooked that it almost doesn't need sauce. For sides, I recommend the roasted corn and smashed peas. If you're a little adventurous I'd spring for the chicken liver as it has good flavor and texture. Overall, this place is great for a casual lunch/dinner for a good price! read more

This location is not as good as the others IMO. The food is good, but the service is trash. It's super slow and they mess up the orders frequently. It's not a lot to order here. It's Chicken. A few heat levels for your sauce. Sides. And salad. So I've been here twice and both times basically had the same issues. The first time I sat in. My food order was wrong. So they went to remake it. It was a salad. I don't know how you mess that up. My friends food was fine. So after maybe 15 more minutes I got my order which again wasn't right. I asked for dressing on the side and both times it was drenched in ranch or whatever dressing they use. It missed the ingredients shown on the menu. Both times. It wasn't too crowded when we were there but for some reason this still happened. Fast forward to my return. I order to go. It took a little over 20 minutes. No silverware. And low and behold my salad was wrong again. And no sauce was on the other entree that we ordered. Management needs to take some steps from the other location and get the kitchen in order.
