1.pick what you want -wait about 5-8 minutes for it to be cooked 2. Tell them your spice level 3. Take somewhere to eat it 4. Die of happiness! They cook it so fast and it's hot like the surface of the sun when it comes out. So disgustingly delicious. A good place for a quick meal to go. The difference (to me) between Nancy's and other restaurant boils: most boils are seasoned before and while cooking; whereas, Nancy's provide you the seasonings and garlic butter as condiments after the cooking. Having had real Louisiana low boils, it was a little bland to me. The $9.75 low country bag; however, is plentiful. Corn, potatoes, shrimp, sausage and 1 crab. I had leftovers for the next day. Nancy's appears to be favorable with the locals and gets a lot of repeat business. The market is convenient and willing to oblige any size order. One patron who says she comes in once a week, ordered her "go to" of a half pound or less of steamed shrimp. read more

Food was terrible. Do not waste your time or money. Seafood was just as bad as the service. Purchased crabs and the food was undercooked. Meaning steamed incorrectly. The worker told me that it was overcooked. He did not honor the refund or replacement for the food. Instead, wanted me to bring back the uneaten food that was tossed by housekeeping earlier that day. Not once did he mention to bring it back. Once, I got there with the receipt he requested. He then told me that it's policy to have the food back. Lies were his only excuse. It is now obvious that Nancy's Seafood no longer purchases fresh wild caught shrimp, or other seafood. This was always my go to spot. I purchased 4 lbs. of shrimps a couple of weeks ago, well if anyone is used to cooking, it should take shrimp no longer than 4 minutes to cook. I sautéed the shrimp in butter and fresh garlic, the shrimp took 12 minutes to cook. I grilled the remainder, however had to finish cooking them in the oven. Nancy's Seafood is selling farm raised shrimp. I looked at the shrimp closely, they were all the same size, and had no taste at all. I spent $25.00 cash, not an EBT card but my hard earned money. Please be aware of farm raised vs wild caught, their is a difference. I will never go back, I will take the extra time and go to Thunderbolt Marina, where the seafood comes directly off the boat. Great place to pick up a takeout meal, and eat it in one of the squares or on the river walk. My wife and I had two low country boils, a crab cake and conk for $26.00. It was better than a lot of the fancy restaurants we had dined. They do not have any indoor seating. I would recommend it for a nice outdoor meal in a beautiful city. read more

A good find if you want very good seafood without the hassle of going out! This place will cook your seafood while you wait and they have a good variety. The crab cakes ($2.95) are great. The low country boil is a great combination of sausage, corn shrimp, etc. Blue crab and snow crab also made our menu and not to be missed. All in all, if you have a large party and don't mind picking up food during vacation, this is the place and the thing to do. Absolutely HORRIFIED by the lack of service and performance after making the unfortunate, regrettable mistake of hiring this "company"(overstatement) to "cater"(another overstatement) our wedding. I could write a book on the countless number of frustrations and disappointments we encountered, but to sum it up: the venue we used will no longer allow caters that aren't listed on their recommended caterer list BECAUSE OF NANCY'S SEAFOOD , the food was COLD they didn't even have burners to warm it(forcing us to rush dinner to avoid food poisoning), they served whole crab (out of a cardboard box) with no utensils to eat it, just plastic forks and Styrofoam plates. The "catering staff" apparently helped themselves to our cake and drinks at the bar which our guests informed us while we were outside taking pictures. They wore basketball shorts and t shirts. I was so mortified, my husband and I spent dinner walking around apologizing to our guests for the awful meal and service. We spent the largest portion of our budget on the food (over $2k) and couldn't be more disappointed. If there was one thing I could change about that day it would be the food service (or lack thereof), I would have rather ordered delivery pizza! And the absolute WORST most unbelievable part of it all was their AUDACITY to ask.....ASK for a TIP!?!? I would strongly recommend not supporting this establishment in any manner but especially not for catering an event. One star was too many. read more

This establishment recently "catered" (if you can call it that) my sister's wedding at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. The food was cold and they didn't use sternos, they served whole crab with no way to eat/crack it and uncleaned shrimp (had to peel, clean and eat), they brought styrofoam plates, only white plastic forks (no other utensils), and paper napkins. They turned in insurance paperwork late which compromised the facility even allowing them to "cater" there, they had horrible communication prior to the wedding with their clients, and they threatened to leave without guests eating because they said they would only leave the food out for 45 minutes (like a wedding day doesn't have enough stress on its own). The number of guests to the wedding was cut in half and they refused to reduce the price. They helped themselves to wedding cake, and had the audacity to ask for a tip at the end of it all.
