There's such a major difference between fresh and frozen shrimp I mean you can really taste the difference and I'm in no way exaggerating . The service was quick and friendly and at $12 per pound for large shrimp yes they really were large and delicious . So made the drive to Nelson's and you will not be disappointed. Your next shrimp dish will be more than you've come to expect especially if you've been using frozen shrimp .

They have a huge selection with lots of options, and everything looked incredibly fresh. We chose the pompano and lump crab. We had the pompano tonight and it was fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We're making crab cakes with the lump crab tomorrow, so I'm already looking forward to dinner! It's great to find a market with this kind of selection and quality, especially when you live in a coastal area where fresh seafood should be easy to find. So far, we're extremely impressed and will definitely be back!

I really miss living a very short drive from the market. I would move back to Savannah tomorrow…read morejust to have access on Friday's and early Saturday mornings. I feel so fortunate that they ship and always very pleased when my order arrives. I love that they have a window they avoid to make sure that your fish arrives overnight fresh while eliminating the possibility that a shipper might hold your package causing the fish to spoil. That's why they normally just take orders early in the week and arrives overnight packed in dry ice. The fish is cleaned and dressed/filleted to order flawlessly without an extra charge. I loved the way the owner greets customers and helps out in the back just because. Very friendly reliable staff. I wish I could give them more stars.

The cashier could tell it was our first time and she let us try everything from their ready to eat counter! The seasoning is ON POINT! flavorful, spicy, garlicky and delicious! We tried to conch, peeled shrimp, shell on shrimp, egg, green mussels, and black mussels! They were out of the garlic blue crabs. We ended up going with the snow crab boil and it was SOOO good! The price was also extremely reasonable for the quantity of food. We got a Large boil for the two of us to share and we still had leftovers. I have been to the Atlanta location (I'm not sure if it's the same owner or chain) but this is definitely the OG and much much better than the Atlanta location. This place is a MUST try! The store is pretty large with a very expensive fresh produce and fresh meat section, but the highlight is definitely the fish market. They have a ton of variety and will prep fillets or cut the fish in any practical way you can come up with. And service is top notch across the store and especially in the fish market. The best part about the store is the small café adjacent to the seafood market that serves Boba crispy pork belly and crispy duck! I just recently relocated to Savannah and was disappointed to find a lack of Boba shops in the area, so I'm definitely excited about finding this one. We will definitely be frequenting this store for a lot of our fresh produce fresh, fish, and our Boba fix.
