Ehh, this place is pretty good. The pizza was tasty and I give them extra points for their gluten-free menu mentioned by others. That being said, the pizza was good but not great. Would I eat it again, probably but it wouldn't be the first place I would rush to when I got the hankering for a pie. I would definitely order their chicken wings again. I really liked the breading and they reminded me of southern, spicy fried chicken more than buffalo wings. They were fried to perfection, juicy with a crisp exterior. Nice ambiance and super friendly staff. Prices were good too. Overall, I would say, a little better than average and good enough to revisit, but not top on my list. Gluten Free Pizza! My mom and sister split one on a Saturday afternoon and they had leftovers. I am a meatball sub conosseuir so I had to try my luck at Nana's and order up one. MAN. WAS. IT. GOOD. I am going to come back and get this meatball sub all the time now. The place is very cute and modern and they have beer and wine. My lunch of a meatball sub and a bottle of diet pepsi ran me five bucks. Easy transacation. Minutes later I was making out with the sauciest and most moist of meat that were Nana's meatballs. Let me set the scene, it was a cold and somewhat rainy night in Everett and I decided to grab a beer at Night Shift with a friend (j/k we ordered flights because YOLO or whatever). We decided to check out the food truck and weren't blown away by the options they had left so we decided to order a pizza. We gave Nanas a call and placed an order for a large cheese pizza with an incredibly friendly person over the phone. The pizza came in about 30 minutes (oh yeah, they deliver to Night Shift #isthisreallife) and arrived piping hot. The pizza itself was really good! I was actually surprised. The pizza is heavy on the cheese (FYI, there's no cute way to eat a super cheesy pizza) with the perfect amount of sauce. The crust is breadier (haha, that's not a word, but it should be) than other crusts so if you're craving thin crust...this is not the pie for you. I ordered a Jumbo Pepperoni Pizza slice and let me just say this before I review it - right when I got it and opened the box it was contained in, I was impressed already. The image of the pizza was just delicious. The right amount of grease, a lot of pepperoni (how I like it), beautiful looking cheese, and amazing crust. I got home and feasted on this beautiful creation. Extremely good first bite. The cheese tasted amazing and so did the pepperoni. They got the pepperoni just right and the same goes for the grease. There also wasn't TOO much grease. When I tasted the sauce, it just added to the already great tasting cheese. The sauce was excellent. Finally I arrived at the crust and the crust was magnificent. I won't go as far as to say that the pizza was the best I've ever had, but it sure comes close to it. Now I know why they're dubbed "Everett's #1 Choice for Pizza since '91". We've been ordering from Nana's for about 7 years and have always been pleased with the pizza we get. Recently, however, things have gone down hill. The crust is completely soggy. But what's worse is that the delivery drivers apparently don't even try to keep the box level. Several times now the pizza has come with all the toppings slopped to one side or even completely off the pie. We've called to complain but haven't gotten a very satisfactory response. The calzones are okay but theyre not built that great. Each ingredient is in its own bite ao instead of getting a cheesy steak bite, youd get a cheezy bite, and then a steak filled bite. I knew I was taking a chance when I ordered a deep dish pizza in the Boston area, but this went past that. All they did was take a normal pizza and double the amount of dough - nowhere close to a deep dish. Double dough means that half of it was under cooked. The pizza is really good. If you're looking for good pizza and don't care about any of the other stuff I'm about to mention, then you could do worse than Nana's. The crust, cheese, and sauce all seem to be high-quality. The delivery is also very fast. My issues: 1) Out of my first 5 orders, 4 were incorrect. I now only make very simple orders, and they have done reasonably well. Though I just opened tonight's calzone, ordered with sauce on the side, and...no sauce. I shouldn't be shocked, though; this is not the first time I've requested sauce on the side (available as an option on their website, so not an unreasonable request) and it has not been there. 2) They have Bible verses on the sides of their pizza boxes. I personally find this obnoxious. I think it's inappropriate, whether the proselytized message is something I agree with or not. And the one they chose, "Jesus answered 'I am the way'" is exclusionary, and insulting to anyone who is not a Christian. I assume they want these people as customers, so why put a quote on the box that basically says that those who don't accept Jesus as the son of God are wrong? And if they don't see it that way, they should realize that that's how the quote gets interpreted. If you feel the need to put a religious quote on your product, why not something inclusive, like "love thy neighbor"? Warm fuzzies. 3) The salads used to be awesome, but now they are gross. The last three salads I've gotten have used the crap inside part of the lettuce; yellow and shriveled, and the core has been thrown in to the salad. I end up taking out all the unacceptable lettuce, and end up with less than half a salad. The first time a salad arrived like that, I gave them a pass and assumed it was a busy night at the restaurant. By crappy salad number three, I realized it was their new business model. The pizza alone is probably worth two stars, but feel I have to go with one star, because all of the other problems make this pretty much a useless restaurant. When friends come over, we just don't want a pizza. We also want salads, appetizers, calzones; and since those items just cause problems, we order elsewhere. read more

So I just moved to the area yesterday. No, really. I have a friend with celiac, who actually lives nearby, and noticed the sign in the window for gluten free pizza, and then was browsing around on Yelp and saw good reviews, so I sent her a text about it. We both went over there this evening. I had a slice of Sicilian pizza, which was pretty tasty, and an order of chicken wings. A little too much batter for my liking, but tasty just the same, and as I found out, they offer GF wings, so next time, I will just order those instead! My friend had a smoky BBQ chicken GF pizza and from the first bite she was raving about it and texting people. Nana's also has GF soups and salads. Gluten Free patrons looking for a real pizza not made on the typical GF frozen crust, this is your heaven! I went there for the first time yesterday and was wonderfully surprised at how delicious it all was. The GF crust is nicely baked - crispy, not soggy - and the toppings were delicious. Pizza is huge! If there's 2 of you, 1 pie is just fine. Hubby had a calzone and it also was HUGE! Enough to feed 3. Had a caesar salad which was also delicious! You cannot go wrong here. Terrible experience in a usually decent spot. In their defense, they're not called Nana's salads, but I have never had a worse salad- including fast food and the desert. A Greek salad with grilled chicken seems basic, right? Wrong. Every ingredient was sub-par besides the dressing. Iceberg- wilted. Tomatoes- cut days ago and maybe 1 actual slice. Cucumber- old and over-ripe. Cheese- cheap, imitation feta-like. Olives- none, not even one. Bread- on the menu, it said homemade, though it resembled a partially-thawed Subway flatbread. Dressing- pretty decent, but so is store-bought. Now, for the curveball- Chicken. You can't mess that up, right? Well, I was asked if I wanted it hot or cold. I answered hot, hoping to wait while actual chicken was actually grilled for me. The space-chicken-ish substance they dumped on my salad was cool, not even warm. It was gelatinous and had a film coating the outside. The only way I was fooled that it may have some chicken in it was because I believe I may have bit into a bone/tendon . The fake grill marks were almost insulting. I usually try to find the good in a situation, but in this case, I can't even say that the staff was friendly when I was ordering. I didn't send the salad back because I imagine it only would have upset the employees and not really impacted the people who choose to serve bad ingredients. Did not have the food, but was nearly hit by one of Nana's drivers pulling out as I was coming back from Market Basket in Chelsea. Then, I guess I wasn't driving fast enough, so he passed me at about 60 mph on the left hand side IN THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE, then he ran the red light at the corner of Chelsea High school. When I called to complain, I spoke with Kayla (sp) the asst manager, who didn't know when the owner would be in or when the manager would be in and sounded put out when I asked where the business was located. And, when I described the driver, it seems Nana's has 3 delivery guys all with brown fuzzy beards. Kind of strange. But look out for the drivers who are a really bad advertisement for the place.e read more

This place delivers to Night Shift Brewery which makes it awesome. The pizza was tasty, Sicilian style. Very filling. Also the chicken fingers were good. The service was prompt and accurate. I'll be honest, I probably would not go out of my way to order from this place if I was not going to Night Shift, but since they do deliver there and I like to go there...I'll definitely be ordering from there again. read more

I have never eaten in the dining room, but I have ordered a lot of takeout here. The pizza is my favorite, but only if it's the tray pizza, which is rectangular. I often order the half tray. My family and I have been ordering pizza here for many years and have never been disappointed. I was recently diagnosed with ibd and cannot have gluten in my diet and was extremely excited to hear they have gluten free pizza and other items including beer!!!! I was craving pizza last night and decided to order one. When I got there to pick it up I was greeted instantly and the owner walked over to tall to me. He told me he was celiac and we had an interesting convo. The disease stinks but I am happy that I can enjoy pizza just like everyone else. I have ordered here once for take out. First, the gluten free pizza is GREAT. The best non-homemade GF pizza I've had. It's not huge, so my husband orders a separate pizza, which he loves. (The Brazilian - Sicilian tray). We will definitely be back. The only bad thing is that they do not deliver to Melrose (Oak Grove Village). Being a pizza joint, delivery area is key, and the fact that they won't deliver a 6 minute drive up main street is disappointing. read more
