Everything was different and tempting. It was difficult to choose just one sweet treat so I left with two. I bought a taro cheesecake bread and an egg tart. Both were slightly sweet and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a few small tables inside for dining and a menu that includes ice cream and bubble tea amongst many other items. Every diner looked happy. I'm always worried it's going to be too sweet but they used the right amount of flavorings and it was really nice. I'd definitely order that again and if I'm in the area, I'd stop by! They're a little hidden gem about 10 min off route 22, and there's not a lot of coffee options in that area so I'm happy to have this here! I think it's smart for them to do ice cream and coffee.

Still, waiting in a long line outside in the summer heat...it's no fun. BUT if I'm driving by and the line is short for a change, I'll take a detour and get myself a sweet treat. So, why's Antney's so popular? Because we all love a family-run ice cream shop. They serve homemade cones and a nice mix of (also homemade) ice cream scoops, milkshakes, sundaes, and even frozen yogurts and sorbets. Parts of the menu rotate regularly too (specifically, I've read that some flavors change daily). So while you can always expect to find the classics here, you never know what else awaits you. Case in point: I stopped by last week and to my delight, Nutella Cookie ice cream was on the menu! I ordered a milkshake version and let me tell you, it was the best milkshake I've had in quite a while. Absolutely delicious flavor, and full of cookie pieces to boot - it hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon. It's probably for the best that I don't want to regularly wait in a long line in a hot parking lot to get ice cream from Antney's. Well, it's good for my wallet and waistline at least - it's disappointing for my tastebuds. Hopefully though, I'll get lucky again before they close for the winter, and will once again drive by while the line is on the shorter side!

My wife then asked in perfect English if the scoops were big so she could decide how many to order, but the corpulent, pathetic old slug of a "man" said "This is America", and refused to serve them. His accent was heavier and harder to understand than my wife's. I'm Caucasian and was born in the US. I enjoy meeting and befriending people from around the world. However, when an immigrant such as this jerk treats my immigrant wife as somehow lower, yeah, he's going to hear it from me. The coward hid in the back but I yelled loudly that I'm a native-born American and that he has no more right to be in this country than anyone else. I tried a sample of the ice cream before his bigoted hissy fit and it wasn't bad but there's MUCH better ice cream in Pittsburgh. They have a limited selection, too. Take your money elsewhere, this guy is trash.

Melina was an amazing employee--she was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She really made us feel taken care of and went above and beyond to make our visit a great one. They were serving dairy ice-creams (e.g., butter pecan, strawberry, Oreo, cookie dough, vanilla, chocolate, super human [cherry, blue moon, and vanilla], cotton candy, yippee skippy [peanut butter, caramel, brownies, and chocolate-covered pretzels, and banana cream) and vegan Italian ices (e.g., raspberry lemon, strawberry hibiscus, watermelon, kiwi, and carrot mango). An employee kindly greeted me. She needed me to repeat my order, but the employees correctly assembled my sundae. I liked the flavors very much. It had two scoops and toppings and cost about $10.

I will say the base itself doesn't have much of a cheesecake flavor to it, but they include little bits of cheesecake throughout the milkshake to make up for that. All in all, a fantastic little ice cream shop to support and visit!

The Birthday Cake flavor is sweet, with delicious blue buttercream frosting and sprinkles mixed in. They give generous sized scoops, so 2 are filling and worth the $5 price.
