We got pad Thai, pad see ew, salt beef fried rice, Singapore noodles, and volcanic chicken special to share amongst five adults. I ordered medium spicy for the pad Thai but it was way too spicy for me, and I feel like I can normally handle a good amount of spicy. You definitely want to just get mild here. The pad see ew was good - the noodles were soft and chewy. Salt beef rice was bland and underwhelming, as were the Singapore noodles. I wasn't sure what to expect for the volcanic chicken but it was more like Chinese food than it was Thai. This one was also way too spicy to the point that I couldn't eat it. I might get the pad Thai again because I liked the consistency of the noodles, and overall flavor but that's probably about it. read more

(Roti Massaman: A) - A very value appetizer here coming with two roti and a very peanut-forward mild spice curry sauce. I would've loved to see more of that beautiful curry, but otherwise a good dish. (Pad Thai: B) - For $15, this is a large portion of flavorful Pad Thai that hits all the right notes of saline, sweetness, and acidity. I did find the noodles to be overcooked though, and it was a smart choice for me to get tofu to avoid abysmally dry meat. (Eggplant Basil: B) - This tastes like your classic thai stir fry with a meat of choice and your selection of vegetables, which I opted for an eggplant base here. Everything was super flavorful and the pork was surprisingly tender for only $15 a large portion. There was a lot of liquid residue though as if the dish was a bit boiled. (Chili String Bean: D) - I'm not sure what happened here as the previous dish had such tender pork, but the pork here was beyond dry. I did enjoy the chili and string bean combo though. Personal circumstances kept us from Nana for too long. Not feeling well today, so I ask Red to pick up some takeout for me. I order the fried vegetable dumplings, an order of spring rolls and the beef Pad Thai. I wish they still had coconut soup, but the menu has changed. Even after arriving in take-out containers the dumplings and spring rolls are still crispy. Same flavor you expect with dipping sauces. The beef in the Pad Thai is on the chewy side, perhaps from being a little overdone. But the portion is generous with enough meat for the entire container. Some peanut sauce would have been nice, but I didn't ask if they have it. Still tasty and the food fills me to the full. Thai iced tea was great, and bigger than usual. I was curious about the crab rangoon given the Yelp praise, and while not radically different than the usual, the crispiness was helpful. The accompanying chili sauce counts as medium spicy if you use it a manner consistent with its labeling, but I drank it directly from the container which can be risky. The showstopper, however, was the beef larb, a spicy/citrusy masterpiece that once again, had me consuming the liquid as a beverage. Craving thai noodles for delivery. Based on their 4 star review and lack of delivery options to my location we tried Nana. We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Black Noodles and Drunken Noodles. All were decent with my favorite being the Crab Rangoon. Not a five star rating good but it satisfied my thai craving. We requested the standard spicey which was not spicey enough for me, will definitely try the "very" spicey next time. Delivery process was fairly easy and they delivered within the estimated time. I hate this review update. I twice recently ordered food here and wasnt able to eat it when I got home. First time I ordered tofu pad thai and when I got home I had chicken pad thai. I ordered directly with the resturant and did not call them back as I was unwilling to drive back over there to pick up a replacement. The next week I tried again, but this time through door dash. I ordered tofu glass noodles. I again received chicken glass noodles. I contacted door dash, they arranged for a replacement tofu glass noodles to be sent. 40 minus later I received THREE containers chicken glass noodles. Chicken is not tofu. Always a little nervous about ordering from a Thai restaurant when the front workers aren't Thai, but I'm glad I forged through with my order. Walked in and ordered a few dishes, and was told it would be about 15 minutes. I left for the waiting period and came back and food was packaged all neatly (although in a plastic bag even tho we're post plastic bag-ban). When I got home to unpackage the food, I was kind of surprised at how much food there was! The curry was in a quart size container, sautee was in a round container and pad see ew was in a rectangular container. All the food was flavorful, not too sweet and not too spicy. I'm glad it wasn't bland or overcooked! Pad See Ew - noodles were cooked to perfection with just enough bite to them, there was chicken, broccoli and chinese broccoli. Garlic Saute was yummy too with a dollop of fried garlic in the middle of the dish. Sauce was again flavorful, there was a medly of veggies including baby corn, carrots, string beans, bell peppers. Curry -- I think I ordered peanut curry, but I definitely received a red curry. (c'est la vie). Curry was on point though and had bell peppers and broccoli. Rice came with the last two dishes, but I do wish there was a little bigger portion of rice given! First night in NJ and I chose to eat dinner here as there were not a lot of vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the area of our hotel. There's plenty of street parking and we found one right in front of the restaurant. It seems to be a casual restaurant, we walked in and sat ourselves. We ordered spring rolls, tofu soup, red curry with tofu and Pad Thai with tofu (no eggs). + spring rolls were filled with veggies and perfectly crispy on the outside. We liked it enough to order a second plate. + tofu soup was big enough to be split between two and had big chunks of broccoli, carrots, bok choy in a tasty broth. + red curry tofu was served with white rice piled into a cone shape. If you like Thai curry this was a good dish. It was spicy enough to keep it interesting without needing to drink lots of water. There was also a good amount of different veggies that were cooked enough to keep the greens crispy + Pad Thai was sweet with a spicy kick. I was assured it was not a spicy dish but my poor kids were surprised and eventually didn't eat it. If you're not a fan of when the slightest spiciness this would not be the dish for you to try! Buyer beware. Two stars only because the food was actually decent but the abysmal treatment received cannot be left unnoticed. I placed an order through seamless, and after 15 minutes past the delivery window, I called the restaurant, twice, and no one answered. I then called Seamless and asked if they could try calling, as sometimes they have a different phone number, and after 2 attempts from Seamless they advised they would refund the order as they could not get in touch with anyone. Before I ended that conversation, the driver finally did call me, and I advised Seamless not to issue the refund. To be clear, I never once asked Seamless for a refund, I simply asked if they could try and contact the restaurant. Unfortunately, Seamless processed the refund anyway, which lead to numerous phone calls and a barrage text messages with accusations of a scam and threats to call the police. I advised whoever it was texting me, as they did not identify themselves, that they needed to work through the issue with Seamless and I had already advised Seamless to either reverse the refund or recharge me. It was 21 dollars I really have no issue paying, I cannot control Seamless policies. I was honestly more shocked at the tone and demeanor of whoever it was texting me. I cannot control what Seamless does, but this business can control answering the phone when an order is called about 4 times. Just be aware that if you order delivery, if it's late no one may answer the phone and the delivery service will be quick to refund you if they can't make contact either, and this is the treatment you will receive from this business. I was pretty surprised by how many flies there were considering it wasn't even summer time when I went to the restaurant for dinner. I was running out of options in the area that were a walkable distance so decided to give this place a chance. I had no idea how many flies there were until after we were seated and ordered our food. I was also surprised that the place was so busy but I guess it's about the food which was good more so than the cleanliness of the restaurant. I'm new to the area and needed to find a solid Thai restaurant for See Ewe. Nana is available on DoorDash and the ratings were good so I went with it! I was very pleased with the delivery process. I know it's been challenging with the pandemic, but my order said it would arrive in 30 minutes and it did exactly that. I added chicken to my order but with even with that addition the price was super reasonable. Sometimes I think delivery the favors of a dish can be off. Not the case here. Curry tasted great, authentic, a lil lasting spicy kick, and veggies cooked right. the slices of meat in it, old, tough, and killed the niceness of the rest of it, to the point where I wanted to pluck the meat out of it. Noodles were real soft, where pulling them out of the container gave me a chunk like rice. Certainly the Pad Thai would be great? nah. Great spice, great flavor, but overcooked, and the meat in it, again, over-cooked and tough, and made me sigh, cuz I knew I couldn't find all of it to pluck out, and why should I, it should be as good as the noodles and all. We ordered a pa tai, fried rice and curry dishes to try. Fresh ingredients and all well made. Two things. 1. Can of soda is 1.50. Mark up is understandable but still... 2. Foodies with shell fish allergies, there is shrimp paste on everything. Be careful or avoid. Food presentation is decent. 2. Food has good flavor and everything seems to be cooked just right. 3. Staff was very nice to us, poured our drinks etc. something I am not use to in the JC Heights. Negatives 1. Not all the food was good. The basic apps like an empanada are not what you'd expect. 2. Compared to the previous restaurant, prices are slightly higher. I will preface this by saying I recently spent more than a month in Southeast Asia and as such have a particular expectation. That being said, I was expecting a lot more from a flavor profile, food consistency and ingredients perspective. I ordered a delivery order of the vegetarian egg rolls, green curry and Tom Yuk dish, all of which were unfortunately disappointing. Both curries were watery, and did not have much flavor / spice that I would expect for the requested spicy level. The egg rolls delivered were cold and soggy, requiring me to reheat them prior to eating. The sauce provided also lacked flavor that I would expect. I'm not sure if this was an off day, but i was hoping for more. I can't say I'll try them again, but might as others have rated it highly. This is a solid thai place, and I'm glad it's in the area. I've gotten take-out from here twice. I always call it in before I get there, but usually it's been ready in 20-30 minutes. This place seems to mostly do take-out and delivery, both times I've been it to pick up it has been mostly empty. I always get pad see ew from any Thai place, and this place has a great version. We've also gotten some other things, like a drunken noodle which was very good (but quite spicy despite being ordered mild) and their wonton soup, which I really liked the broth of and has bok choy in it. Portions are good for the price in my opinion, but my needs are pretty basic: noodles, beef, and broccoli. We haven't tried anything fancier than that. read more

Thai food always hits the spot and this place deserves the stars. My order was spring rolls, chicken satay for appetizers, the papaya salad and Thai Basil Fried Rice and Pad Thai as entrees. I am glad to say I can make it last for more than a meal. The portions are huge and the flavors are on point. If you can tolerate spice go for the very spicy. Got a chance to try out this place for dinner over MDW. Went on a Sunday night and the place was literally empty. We were seated quickly and the service was attentive from start to finish. The decor and atmosphere is fairly lackluster and minimal- feels more like a takeout Chinese restaurant than a Thai restaurant. That said, the food was nice and enjoyable. The portions were very generous for all our dishes. We had the papaya salad to start was fresh and tasty. The massaman curry was pleasant but not quite as creamy as I usually enjoy. I've eaten at Nana Thai more times than I can count...it's definitely my go-to takeout Thai restaurant in the area. My girlfriend and I decided to dine in last night, so we brought a bottle of wine (Nana is BYO friendly). The dining room was practically empty, just us and another couple. The interior space leaves lots to be desired (bright overhead fluorescent lighting, bicycles scattered all over the place), but the food makes up for it. I've tried almost everything on the menu, but last night we started with the Thai Sui Mai which was really tasty, especially for the low $4 price tag. I had the Thai Basil with Chicken $9 and my girlfriend got the Drunken Noodles with Beef $11. Both portions were huge, spicy, and satisfying. Our server was friendly, but being that Nana only has one front-end person working per shift, you could tell she was overly busy with takeout orders to really be attentive.
