Sunday Thai brunch at Namo Advant Thai - Great food, Great ambience
The Thai buffet at Namo turned out to be a wonderful experience. It came with an array of appetizers, main course, dessert and coffee/tea. We started with a spread of 15 entrees to begin with- I really liked the papaya salad, Prawn pad pad, Tuk tuk tofu, Shrimp & mango rolls and Chicken satay.
For mains we had Beef briskets that were crispy & juicy, in delicious gravy. The Silky Salmon was cooked to perfection- flaky and tender but not limp. It made us wonder how the chef could be that talented! The Thai green curry chicken and the Thai green curry vegetables were very flavourful and aromatic, just that the Thai green curry vegetables were a bit milder than desired. The vegetarian selection-Paneer charm and Roti Paratha was mouth-watering. It was evident that the highest quality ingredients were used in preparing the dishes.
We finished off with the desserts- a fruit platter and Panna Cota, which were OK.
We had some excellent mocktails. Must-try ones are- Kanom (a concoction of blueberries, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, strawberry syrup & citrus), Sweet N' Sour (passion, mango & sprite) and Refresher (mint leaves, lime & apple juice).
Overall, our experience at NAMO was highly enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The manger, Billy, was clearly equipped with familiarity on both the food and drinks menu. He gave us good suggestions and answered our queries enthusiastically. The food was great, and the setting perfect for a relaxed meal.
Considering the fact that for a premium location one needs to dish out a premium price, the brunch is reasonably priced. They also have a lovely outdoor area adjacent to the bar, overlooking the harbor. As the weather turns cooler, it is a perfect time to enjoy a drink amidst the shimmering lights!
