This place is all the hype at my job so I had to come. I was so intrigued to try this as it is a Pakistani take on the infamous Nashville Hot Chicken. I tried the Hot Chicken Sandwich as it was recommended by the cashier. The sandwich was pretty good , nothing really new here. If you're looking to try something different the hot sandwich isn't for you. It was definitely a bit overhyped. As for the fries they were a good 6/10, they weren't crispy how I like my fries. It was more like a hand cut fry. I only got plain fries but they do have fries that come with the works which I also want to come back to try. Overall, if you're coming here definitely be different and try something other than what I had. It was good but nothing spectacular. I'm not writing this place off so I will be back with an update after trying other things on the menu. read more

This was a small location with 2 tables and a counter with a few seats to sit at. There were lots of take-out orders being picked up while I was there. The menu was small with mostly chicken and waffle combination type dishes along with a few sandwiches. I dined in and the food was ready very quickly. I went with the chicken and waffles ($13) along with a side of masala fries ($4). I opted for the chicken to be of medium spice. There were 2 generous pieces of chicken along with a whole Belgian waffle cut into fours. I really liked the overall presentation. Regarding the taste, it was excellent. The chicken was fried to perfection with a great balance of batter and chicken. The spice level had a nice kick to it while the waffle provided the sweet factor to the dish. The waffle overall was fluffy on the inside and a slight crunch on the outside. Regarding the masala fries, they were fried appropriately, and a plentiful portion was given. The masala seasoning was a nice added touch. I also tried the Tikkaville sandwich which contained fried chicken, tikka sauce, coleslaw, pickled onions, and mint chutney on a brioche bun. Again, this was very good. I really enjoyed the hot temperature of the chicken combined with the cool coleslaw and mint chutney. Will I go back? Definitely. read more

Don't remember how many times I have been here all takeouts and this time went with friends at the right time before it became overcrowded to sit outside and enjoy downtown Chatham. My go to is the Nashville hot chicken medium with fries! Hubby decided to try the garam masala sandwich which was a seasonal special, and we had phataka and dhamaka fries, chicken and waffles for kids. Food is as good as it can be service could be better as our fries came with chicken though we didn't want chicken in our fries, so had to change and re-order, kids ran out of syrup which was a bit funny ! They are trying best as they can but this place can really get crowded! My suggestion is order online, pick up and enjoy in parks just across the road. I'm a fan. The first time I went I ordered their hottest Nashville chicken sandwich and it was hot but not so hot that eating it is unbearable. I'm usually so skeptical going to places that are social media famous. I've seen about 20 tiktoks hyping this establishment, and let me tell you the hype is so real! I had the Clucking Waffle Sandwich and I don't have enough good things to say about it. The chicken was crispy and just the right amount of spice. The jalapeño cheddar waffle was just out of this world. I got a side of maple syrup to dip it in, and that was just the cherry on top. I also got the Dhamaka fries, they were mediocre, I enjoyed them but probably wouldn't order again. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, brioche is nicely toasted, the slaw is crunchy and on point; everything is just done tastefully. For the clucking waffle sandwich, the waffle is crunchy on the outside, soft and moist in the inside, batter is not too sweet, and the sandwich itself is massive! Honestly, I'm very thrilled that there is a halal Nashville hot chicken spot in NJ! I had a chance to go with my husband in the fall during Covid. Meaning they were not doing indoor dining and it was pickup only. We knew our order would take 2+ hours to be ready so we planned accordingly. I'm not sure if this is still the case but plan for it just in case. We got the hot chicken sandwich as well as the tikkaville sandwich. Of course you must order the masala fries to have on the side. Let me tell you it was worth waiting for! Totally satisfying even though we ate it very quickly in our car. Absolutely perfectly constructed, and no complaints on my end aside from they could be a bit spicier. I did order the spiciest but I could always take it up a notch. I am very excited that there is a halal joint like this so more people can't enjoy hot chicken. The service did take a while but I can excuse that since we are in a pandemic after all. The chicken is nice and juicy but with a solid crunch. The location is rather small with three tables and some high tops. Thankfully there was outdoor seating too because we felt inside was a bit loud and bustling. Due to Covid I have been on the lookout for great takeout local to me. I LOVE the food here, the chicken is always fried to perfection and the seasoning in the batter is amazing. Word to the wise, the chicken can get really spicy if you start going with the sauces. Just the one step above Naked had my mouth and sinuses burning like hell, but it was so delicious. Even the naked option has a bit of manageable kick to it, thanks to the spices in the batter. Excellent food, and I have never had a problem with timely pick up when ordering through their website. Walked over to take a chance with the long lines. The line wasn't that long, but they are open for indoor dining and they are only taking walk-in orders. There is not enough space in there for people to sit and eat without masks while others are standing closer than 6 feet just to place their orders. Not gonna lie tiktok made me drive two hours for this place and it did not disappoint. The drive is a bit much for us so we decided to get a taste for as much as we could on our first trip! It's the first Nashville Hot Chicken place in NYC/NJ and it was insanely good. It's 100% halal and absolutely amazing! Ambience: It's pretty small with about 2-3 tables and the inside decor is minimalistic and has a clean/modern look. Currently they're not accepting phone or online orders but you can dine-in or pickup. Be ready to wait in line but you definitely won't regret it. Price: All the mains on the menu range from around $8-$12 and the prices are extremely affordable for how delicious it all is (Menu pictured with prices attached on our Instagram) Menu/food: Their menu is limited but every single thing on the menu is a solid 10/10. We placed an order at around 9:30 pm and were told that they would call us when the order is ready. Few menu items were not available. We went at 10:30 pm to check and were told that it's not ready yet. We went back inside 11 pm to check our order and it was ready and they handed us our food parcel with soggy waffles n room temperature fried chicken. Like really?? No calls when order ready. Wow!! We waited almost 90 minutes for our order to be ready. Also many people inside the store at the same time in this pandemic. Wait in your car after ordering if at all. Social distancing please. Yes, 2 hours is absolutely worth the wait. I'd recommend smaller orders because otherwise some food might be prepared earlier than others (the waffles on my sandwich could've been crispier instead of soft as bread if served immediately). All the same, I am so impressed that a kitchen of such small size can fill all these orders without comprising freshness, quality, and taste First, heat levels: the "Hot" was disappointing. It didn't taste like anything. The "Medium" in comparison had a rich flavor profile that had a pleasant amount of spice. The "Mild" is also hard to taste through bread and condiments, and if you're eating at a level any lower at a hot chicken shop, please just reassess your life decisions. Nashville Sandwich: Loved the coleslaw and tang of pickle to balance out a perfectly crisped and humongous piece of chicken! Clucking Waffle Sandwich: my FAVE on the menu. There's a slight sweetness in the waffle that is the perfect counterbalance to the spicy tender and Chipotle Mayo. Let me start by saying i have been a huge ambassador of this place since the day it opened. I've told anyone and everyone how good this spot is. Unfortunately- I'm officially done. 1. They have cut corners an any and everything they can. No more honey packets, no more hand wipes, no napkins etc. 2. In about 2.5 years their waffle sandwich went from $12-17 The Nashville sandwich has gone from $7-$12 which is close to 5x what inflation has been over that same time. A single chicken finger is now $5. There prices are now the same as they are in Brooklyn, except.... Chatham isn't Brooklyn. If you've been here on a weekend you know they can't cry poverty. It's a mob scene 3. Their service is atrocious. Truly awful. If you order on a fri or say expect to either wait forever for your online order or get home with everything completed cold. They are what seems to be the first Nashville Hot Chicken place in NYC/NJ area but with a desi twist. Couldn't miss out on this, fired up the haloodie jet and on our way we go. Located on a cute little street in Chatham, NJ, Namkeen stood out with its big windows and outdoor seating. Stepping inside, the interior was designed by the renowned @amennaaa and had a cute cafe feel to it. Really loved the orange and black theme. Asked the person at the register what should I order and they said "everything." So I ordered everything (kind of). Really enjoyed the food. Delicious new hot spot found!! After our Nashville trip last year, I've had a hankering for a HOT chicken sandwich. The moment my friend recommended this place last week, I couldn't get there soon enough. We went today at noon and the line was about 15 people deep which was about a 30 minute wait. After ordering, it took another 20 minutes to get our food. I would say it was worth the wait. Due to my friend's recommendation, we ordered everything medium which was fine for my mom and younger son. The chicken was crispy and the bun tender. I think I could've gone for hot.
