This whole area in TST is Little Seoul, definitely. There was a Korean boom a couple years back, and it came back again, strong, with even better and more authentic food.
This place sells itself with authentic Korean BBQ. The atmosphere is decent, but the seating is pretty tight, especially when five people got seated around a small round table. There is barely space to put our plates, let alone all the bbq items!
For the bbq, there is a good selection of meats. Alas, some of them were a bit chewy and stringy, and wasn't quite top notch. Apart from meats, we also got a few other items to share. There was a beef bone soup, which was delicious, steamed egg, and a hot pot that came after the bbq. The hot pot is called the "troop's pot", and apparently resembles what the Korean troops would eat -- a bunch of minced beef, spam, mushrooms, veggies and a slice of cheese (one slice!) thrown into a kimchi-laced broth.
There are many kinds of Korean drinks you can fetch from the coolers, so make sure you try some of them! Also, they have delicious banchan. Kimchi and the baby bok choy was our favourite.
All in all, I would say this place is pretty good, but it left much to be desired. Everything would be better with a little bit of improvement, and the staff could use a little additional training in Cantonese (they only speak English and Korean) ;) read more
