At the height of COVID-19, this spot saved my palette! I'm a great cook but cooking at home every single night for my family can get a bit overwhelming. Especially since we have kids at home that don't always like to try new things. But being a good cook puts me into quite a predicament because I don't like low quality dining out. As restaurants flocked to Uber eats, DoorDash, etc., it became more difficult to determine which restaurants were worth the money. Enter Namaste Baltimore. Namaste Baltimore cooked us great Indian food consistently. The first time I ate here my GF and I had a nice date night dinner and a movie under a homemade fort. The tasty food matched the rustic romantic vibe we created at home for the evening and paired well with a bottle of Malvasia. Over time and a few months of lockdown we ended up ordering the Tikka Masala chicken and lamb, the chicken, lamb, and shrimp Biriyani, the curry chicken, the vindaloo and the naan. They use seemingly fresh ingredients hitting the right nuances of Indian spices. The complexities of the coriander and cinnamon excited my tongue and my nose every single time. For a while, I just couldn't get enough of this place. The meals were always nicely packaged in paper bags. I just wished they used more sustainable containers. But outside of that, the presentation coordinated well with the rest of the experience. The customer service, or at least what I could tell of it from online ordering, never missed a beat! My orders were always correct and prepared timely. The prices are also pretty good. It's not a cheap place. But it's not too expensive either. If you're a fan of Indian, call them now. read more

This is by far the best and most reasonably priced Indian restaurant in Baltimore (also one of the few places in bmore open past 8 lol). I've sat down here twice now and will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and presentation and very nice staff. I loved the Goan fish curry, got it both times and would definitely recommend. Very good naan especially the garlic naan and the potato stuffed. The samosas are pretty good, really great veggie pakoras, veggie tandoori was delish, the aloo gobi was good and light, the shrimp vindaloo was good and very spicy, and they have some yummy masala tea. Went about five days ago because I was craving Indian curry. I found Namaste on Yelp. I ordered lamb saag and chicken curry. They were both soooo good. The lamb and chicken were both super tender. The sauces were extremely flavorful. An issues I sometimes have is that I ask for mild spices and don't get it. Not this time. I got exactly what I requested. I wish the meals came with Naan, but I'll make sure to order next time because I will return. read more

Samosas were mediocre. Fried chicken appetizer was extremely over cooked and dry and served with appeared to be ketchup.

We've ordered Samosa chat. It reeked of stale odor and we had to return it after a bite. The chef came and said it is probably due to tomatoes and I am sure it is due to potatoes/samosas that were not preserved properly. We went there hungry expecting excellent food with a 4.5 rating and disappointed to say the least. The vegetable biryani served was warm, had corn - which is never used in Indian cooking, had mediocre taste. The ambiance is pretty good, but that is about it. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Excellent food and service! The employees are friendly and the interior is amazing if you have a chance to stay and eat. I enjoyed the curry, the paneer, the butter chicken, and a lot of other dishes: it always hot and seasoned to perfection. The only thing I'd like to see is more fish options on the menu. read more

Namaste Baltimore has improved since I came last. I was already quite fond of the restaurant, but now I am completely sold. We ordered much of the same food from last time, but also a bit more. The order included: -chicken kharhai -(lamb) seekh kabab -daal tarka -(boneless) chicken tikka -plain naan -butter naan -garlic naan My family and I had a wonderful time eating our delicious food. The ambience at Namaste Baltimore is incredible. They always made sure that we had water in our glasses. My favorite was the seekh kabab... very nicely cooked, very flavorful and tender, with amazing texture. Everything else was great too, but that had to be my favorite. For dessert, we had mango lassi and kheer (rice pudding). What can I say except for AMAZING! The Kheer has come a loooonnngggg way since I last had it. Much nicer flavor (more sweet less bitter) than last time, but still the same texture I love. The mango lassi was a great combination of mango and yogurt, a refreshing way to end the night. This is a hidden jewel in the Roland Park area of Baltimore city. There are many Indian places where you can have a good time; with good food, in an inviting & well decorated environment. However, namaste is much more than that. Based on my experience, they really care about their clients experience & expectations. A few months ago, I took my wife there as a special getaway to break from the routine & treat her (wife) to a nice dinner. After sitting down, getting menus, & enjoying the overall restaurant thus far, I noticed that the restaurant did not have my favorite Indian dish on the menu, which is paneer makhani, so, I asked our waiter about it & the owner/manager immediately came to our table. Once she heard what I wanted, she nodded & said that, although not on the menu, she would love to fix us my favorite dish if we wanted to try it! Wow... just that is worth the highest recommendation. But it gets even better, the rest of our evening was excellent & the food, including my favorite dish were absolutely delicious!! Thanks Namaste Baltimore for your outstanding service. When I used to live in Hampden, I would order from Namaste almost every week. Now that I've moved to Rosedale, I'm not able to visit nearly as much as I like. Their food is fantastic. I usually order the vegetable jalfrezi, which is one of several vegan items on the menu. I've also had some of their other vegan items including mango sabzi, chana masala, and aloo gobi; all were very good. My husband loves the chicken sekuwa. I've been to several Indian restaurants in the area and I must say that Namaste has the best garlic naan and samosas around. Additionally, the restaurant is decorated beautifully, it's always clean, and the staff are warm and attentive. I'm so sad that I no longer have Namaste right around the corner. read more

When the main course came out the chicken chili I got had amazing flavor and sauce, with the perfect amount of spice. The chicken was extremely tender, perfectly cooked. OH RATS! Walked in around 8:30pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. We got seated immediately, but it took 15 minutes for our server to come to take our order. There were 3 separate times different servers came to see if our order was taken, each time I said "yes we already ordered." At some point our server came back and said he forgot to put our order in... what did we order? Food was awesome! However the service was crap. Alright, so we're finishing up dinner and my friend says " I'm never coming back here!" I just knew it you guys, RATATOUILLE ran across the red carpet! I jumped on my booth and yelled "THAT'S A MOUSE!" We locked eyes you guys... then he ran under the booth behind me! We were getting ready to pay our check and the manager came over to collect our monies. Hold on I need to change my voice... Sooo we told them to split the bill...only to find out that they forgot to charge for our drink. (Most places would forgive a drink charge after finding out there's a mouse in the restaurant. Nope not this place.) they added the charge and proceeded to charge the wrong amount to each of us....totally unreal. This experience couldn't have gotten weirder. Because the mouse wasn't seen by the staff they thought we were lying. In the end we didn't want to take our leftovers-a concept that the manager couldn't grasp. Hello! Wow! Indian buffets are a crapshoot but this was incredible! A wide array of choices form mango chicken to lamb curry and at least half were vegetarian. Tons of condiments, fruits, two different deserts and masala tea included! I'm really impressed compared to others I've been to. Wonderful location on Roland park, near me. Shirley's. I ordered food here tonight, a saag paneer and samosa's. It took them about 45 minutes to make the food, 10 minutes to deliver, and when I went to the porch, my food was gone. Someone had taken my food within 5 minutes. But it was worse. The delivery driver was robbed at gun point of his wallet, keys, and car. I have been going to Namaste Baltimore more recently and I have tried a bunch of foods on their menu! The chicken momos are one of my favorite dishes. They are Nepalese and are kind of like Chinese potstickers. They are flavorful with chicken and spice and come with a mild, creamy tomato sauce like the sauce in chicken tikka masala. The vegetable samosas here are great too and are always warm and crispy on the outside. I enjoy the chicken pakora here which comes in fried strips with a sweet red sauce. So good! The chicken soup here is mostly broth with some cilantro, chicken, and vegetables and it's delicious, but small. Don't plan on that as a full meal. The chicken curry is flavorful and good too. The lamb vindaloo is a bit strong for my taste, but wonderful nonetheless. Mango lassi is great here and sweet without being overpowering. read more

I've been visiting Baltimore this week and eaten in three Indian restaurants - one in Frederick, MD, one in Columbia, MD, and this one. Namaste Baltimore was my favorite. The sauce in the chicken tikka masala alone was enough to make me a fan. It had that wonderful flavor that comes from long, slow cooking. And the vegetable momos were perfect.
