Cheap, big portions, attentive wait staff. Would definitely come back again to try more of the interesting menu.

It was great that we asked about Makers, since it was conveniently in our area. Avocado Toast | We were expecting a decent size of toast, but a big sourdough slice came out. It was covered with a generous helping of mashed avocado and smoked salmon, alongside a flavorful lime crema and garlic aioli. Menu: Our menu included typical breakfast items, including French toast, breakfast burrito, pancakes, and chilaquiles, under a fixed-price dining offer. Service: My friend mentioned that the staff was extremely helpful at the time of booking. Our large party of 16 were all seated together. With some rearranging, the restaurant managed to fit us all, creating ample space for a cozy family meal! The servers were responsive and fulfilled every request. Parking: Plenty in the parking lot.

I don't know why I always forget about this spot! It's solid! We walked in and the hostess greeted us immediately and sat us quickly. It wasn't too busy for a weekend which I was pretty surprised at. Lots and lots of seating if you want to dine in and they have a counter if you just want to walk up and order coffee or food to go. I ordered the salted caramel coffee iced and decaf. It was soooo good. I also got the churro waffles and WOW. So tasty. I really liked the butter they used for it. It was delicious. I definitely see why this is a favorite. My husband also really enjoyed his meal as well. I'd definitely recommend this spot for brunch. Their coffee is soooo good and they have such delicious food. I'm a big fan of their empanadas so I'll definitely be back soon to get some of those!

So I was looking around in the green valley area for pupusas, I came across this spot. Everything…read morelooked great! I called to place a phone order and to be honest, customer service LACKED HEAVY. I do not speak Spanish but I do believe that wasn't the issue. As soon as I called I I heard silence. I said "hello?" Someone said "hello?" I said "is this Esmeralda's" they said "yes". The problem I found was there was no nice greeting or acknowledgment of answering the phone I thought it was strange. It was almost treated like a personal call. And I did end up speaking to someone who seemed to speak English but they did make ordering kind of difficult because they had no sense of assisting. I'd say "could I please place an order for pupusas?" They'd say "yes" THATS IT. Not " yes what kind of pupusas would you like" nothing. Just imagine that. It was kind of frustrating. Now on the phone they said 20 mins for 12 pupusas and 1 burrito. Ok sounds great. I arrived 20 mins later. But I ended up waiting about 10-15 more minutes in an empty restaurant still. I saw no one come in or out during the whole wait as well. But for fresh food I'm willing to wait a decent amount of time I was just confused as to why it would be taking a while if that makes sense? Now when I got the pupusas they were super hot which I loved. Overall the taste was amazing. I would like to say I do think the Curtido was kind of bland. It didn't taste too much like it was soaked or had salt. But other than that being the only con, the food was great! They were decently sized too. The sauce that came with the burrito was also very tasty. I loved how it was creamy kind of. Only thing is, the burrito only had meat... which was strange I expected maybe rice inside? Veggies? Sauce? No just meat. Some lettuce, rice, and beans come on the side tho. I do wish the portion for the rice and beans were bigger. But overall it was a Decently flavored burrito. I love supporting small businesses I just think sometimes customer service lacks in some small businesses. I'd still return but maybe I'd have someone else place the order for me lol

We came on a Monday evening 5:30ish not at all full us and one other table. Friendly service again slow night. The food was unfortunately not the best for MY TASTE BUDS. I had to add quite a bit of salt to the chicken soup. So did my hubby. Again to our liking. We may come back try the pupusas next.

All right "simple" review. AND also just to update the place is called Casa Mexico now. ANNND to…read moreadd I know going to a Mexican-formerly-Salvadoran-but-predominantly-Mexican-now-restaurant and ordering Salvadoran entrees may seem like a no-no but I was made aware they still served Salvadoran fare so in this city I took a gamble. And gamble I did. Let's start with the cons. 1st mistake was going to a Mexican restaurant and ordering Salvadoran food. El curtido (pickled cabbage salad) was salty and therefore I was glad the artisanal container it came in was small. The pupusas like said container were small as well and the fact that there was a charge for two horchatas on my bill (seemingly no refills) makes for a only-a-water-hole-can-quench-my-thirst type guy like me not too happy when he learns he has to pace himself with one drink next time. Also the taste of the horchata was subpar. All right lets talk about the positives. The flavor of the pupusas was fairly extraordinary and I appreciated that they weren't greasy. Also for an appetizer I had a tostada de camarron and I'm not a fan of onions, but I have to tell you I paid no mind. Crunchy, crispy and delicious shrimp app was loaded and very tasty. One of those if my date would ask me for some I wouldn't share it was so good, yeah. But what made this a positive experience was the ever lovely and very helpful Patricia, she was on point with service. That and the fact the food was actually tasty is the reason this place is deserving of the 4 stars.

I had read the reviews for Dandino's and I wanted to try their South American food. I ordered two items--a mechada arepa and a mechada empanada. Mechada is Venezuelan shredded beef. The arepa is made with corn flour in rounds and filled with whatever filling you choose. The empanada was not sealed, but was partly open. Arepas are a common food in Venezuela and Columbia. There was a bit of a language problem but we got past that. I took a seat and enjoyed the singing by an older man who played the keyboard and sang to entertain in the food court. When I ordered, I was told it would take 7 minutes and that was right on. The woman I ordered with arrived at my table with my arepa and empanada in that time. She then brought my Coke. First off, the food was blisteringly hot. I had to wait a bit to be able to enjoy. That showed me the freshness of the making of the items. The mechada was excellent. It was juicy and the sauce with the shredded beef had a super flavor. I'll be back but I'll mix my order and get a cheese empanada and a different arepa. It's worht the stop here. It is close to UNLV and I'm there often so there's not much of a drive. Note: This is a cash only place. No credit cards or contactless payments.

Everything tasted fresh, but our cheese was a bit congealed by the time it got to us. We will definitely be ordering from them again to try different items!
