We were super excited to try this place. But sadly we will not be coming back. The food was ok- maybe under seasoned/ over done (lomo saltado and chicken) in my opinion. Cute little restaurant, clean interior and a lot of space. The menu recently was condensed according to the owners as they needed to make it simple. Staff overall was friendly, but was slightly lacking when asked what was in the fried rice as I wasn't sure what Peruvian style meant. She just said it was similar to chinese style, which I wasnt sure was made intentionally as a comment simply because I was an Asian individual. That being said, the Lomo Soltado was good but a bit pricey in comparison. It came out rather on the saltier side but the umami flavours from the soy sauce base was present. The meat was cooked well, medium rare. The spring onions and red onions with tomatoes made it a nice touch but did end up oily and salty, which needed something more than the rice to cut it off. This spot is super clean, the interior design is bright and inviting. They have a soothing white/light green decor that almost fits a hip/girly cafe haha. Lomo Saltado- a la carte order is $25. Their individual menu items are a little on the pricier side, but their current special was a fantastic deal. Lomo Saltado (9/10. Actually so good.) - Good portion size! I went in hungry, and went out very satisfied. Definitely enough food to satisfy when you're hungry - Flavor was SOOO GOOD!!!! This is honestly probably the best Lomo Saltado I've ever had. The sauce they used is thick, rich, packed with deep umami flavor - The beef they used was fantastic quality, cooked to a perfect medium, and super tender to the bite. Awesome quality of meat. - steak fries, green onion, red onion, tomatoes, and a side of white rice. All were top-notch and absolutely delicious. Additionally, Friday and Saturday night are both karaoke evenings! They open until midnight, have a computer and a mic available. Make sure to train your employees before hiring them. Got asked by the waiter to collect my own plates and hand it to him. I'm sure this kid never worked in this type of industry. The cook brought out the dipping sauce half way thru our dinner, much tastier with the sauce! However, the service need improvement. We understood that our server was not the usual server, but we were the only ones in the restaurant. Started out good with him making some suggestions, but then we didn't see him for 10 mins...no water, nothing. Was looking for a good place to get takeout and came across Cafe Peru. Not a lot of Peruvian places in Vegas and I loveeeee pan con chicharron so when I saw it on their menu I was sold. Got there 15 mins before close which is usually a no for me, but I HAD to have this sandwich and I'm so glad we went still. The cashier was MIA so the chef helped us and was so friendly and helpful and not at all bothered that we were there right before they close. We tried a couple Peruvian beers while waiting for our to go order that were good. Also I knew our food was going to be amazing when I seen his chefs knife arm tattoo lol and it was. First thing I noticed was how clean and well decorated the restaurant is followed by the good music they play. It's a whole vibe!! I stopped in here for diner today. I love Peruvian food. You can always tell how good a Peruvian restaurant will be by their lomo Saltado. It's definitely the most popular Peruvian dish and absolutely delicious when made correctly. I had this dish growing up as a kid. My dad is Peruvian and it was his favorite. It became mine as well over the years. The Lomo Saltado here has to be one of the best I've ever had. And yes I have had it many times while I was in Peru. The sauce on the lomo is so delhere. My wife had the ceviche that was not too acidic and had very fresh fish. We ended with a very creamy flan. I walked in on a weekend and the gentleman taking the orders was okay at first. He took a call in the middle of taking my order and told me to wait to take another order. Not ok. Then he said the register was down and couldn't pay unless I had cash. He called the manager to get it to work (over the phone). The manager few minutes later walked in and made herself food in front of us. Mind you there were no other customers. I was the only one there. I waited for a while before it was ready.
