Seven Seas soup and Papusa and all the trimmings!
    Rob B.

This place was great! Stopped in for a work lunch at the recommendation of a coworker. I've never had papusa before! Had no idea what I was missing! Shrimp papusa will change your life! Definitely coming back 5 star service and vibes!

This is my family and I's favorite place to eat pupusas at. Whenever we go, the servers and staff are friendly and always check up on you in a timely manner to make sure you're okay and don't need anything at the moment. We have been coming to this restaurant for approximately 7 years and even when they moved locations, we found them and went right back to them. That's how good they are. The ambiance allows for you to bring your family or even eat by yourself and you don't feel overwhelmed by any loud noises, allowing you to be able to have a nice conversation at the table. I could rave about this place all day. I recommend any of the pupusas which they have plenty of options for OR if that's not your thing, the carne asada plate is delicious too. The menu offers several options for you to choose from. Trust me, there will be something in there for you to like! My compliments are always to the owner and staff of this amazing restaurant.

Talk about another great breakfast fine! I had seen this place online a couple of times, and…read moredecided to give it a go on Easter Sunday. Makers and Finders is super easy to find, although it is a bit of a windy parking lot to find them, there is ample parking once you get inside. The signage is bright, welcoming, the windows are outfitted with catch phrases and other identifying marks to make sure you do not miss this place at all. As soon as we entered the building, we recruited by the wait staff at the front, who showed us to our table. The interior had a very relaxed vibe to it. Super wide open spaces, great view of the kitchen, and great view of the coffee bar. They also had a takeout service where you could walk right up to the takeout area and get your stuff to go. Along the back wall was a very whimsical and detailed mural as to how the business got to Las Vegas. Do yourself a favor, take a moment and check it out because it is worth the watch. The menu has all kinds of great food items, on this particular day, my girlfriend picked out the the Lox Benny, which had slices of salmon on a potato slice rather than a English muffin. Very ingenious! Very ingenious! The presentation itself was very pretty, and looked almost too good to eat. I opted for the Coconut tray slides pancakes. Which were absolutely wonderful. They came with a fruit compote, and it really helped balance out the sweetness with a little bit of tart from the berries. Of course, we had to have the short rib empanada, with some of the most amazing chimichurri sauce I have ever had. I swear to you, this chimichurri sauce would make an old chew taste good! You are definitely going to want to order more of it as you will want to slather the empanada with as much of it as you can. They're coffee, which is how the business got started in. The first place, is really on point. Not super strong but definitely not on the medium or weak side. It was a perfect starter for the meal. The serve staff was really great, very friendly and fun and made the entire meal experience so fun and welcoming. This is yet another great breakfast spot that you can add to your short list for a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning, or when you have guests in town. You definitely need to put Makers and Fnders on your short list!

We ordered a churro waffle, the Latin hash, a shrimp and garlic empanada, steak and eggs, and chicken fingers with French fries for my picky toddler. We adored each entrée except the empanada; I think I'd try a different flavor next time. The churro waffle was the perfect touch of sweetness to complement our savory dishes. From the espresso bar, we ordered an iced, extra-sweet dulce de leche latte and an iced horchata latte. The coffees were fantastic--the sweetness of the dulce de leche made it a delectable treat. The horchata latte was also a great choice for anyone who enjoys a little cinnamon in their coffee. The service was extremely friendly, and we can understand why the place was so busy. We will definitely be back in the future.

SO GOOD! Favorite spot of the day , hands down. What a great way to end our day trip to Vegas!…read more We started with two appetizers which were more on an amuse bouche. Small in size but packed with flavor. The Himachi? We could've eaten ten of them. Deeeelicious. The main course came out while I stepped away for a few minutes so I missed the fire show, but got to see it when another table got it later. The taste of the beef was absolutely amazing and loved the accrucements that accompanied it as well. We ended our meal with an almost missed Tres Leches. (Silly me didn't ask for the dessert menu, almost had grounds for being left in Las Vegas!). I'm so glad we circled back and got it, cause it was fan freakin tastic Service also was amazing - our server was so patient and kind

Everything came out flavorful, well‑seasoned, and perfect for sharing. (the only miss was that there wasn't more, but that's only because it was so tasty). I don't remember exactly what I ordered to drink, but it disappeared in seconds, and I could've easily taken down a whole pitcher without thinking twice. The whole table felt that way - dangerous. And yes, it's not on the Strip. Yes, it's absolutely worth going anyway. Yes, the prices are great. Sure, there's plenty of good food and drink on the Strip, but this place is 100% worth the short drive. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

We visited the location on Hughes, which was closer to the strip, but you still need a ride. The restaurant is large, like a Macaroni Grill, with lots of tables, plenty of two-tops. We tried not to compare it to the tiny tapas hole-in-the-wall places in Madrid and Barcelona. We had a reservation, but didn't need one on this Thursday at 6:30. We stood at the host stand for more than 5 minutes as there was no one there. When the hostess arrived, she sat us right next to another couple, you know where there are a bunch of two-tops against a wall with a long bench seat? It was odd, given that there were SO many other available tables. We ordered a pitcher of the red sangria, which was good. I don't know how many glasses there were, but more than two each. Maybe between two and three? Here's what we ordered (unfortunately, we had a bit of a late lunch so we weren't very hungry): Manchego and apple salad--I liked the ideas of the flavors together more than the result. It was fine, but my bites had too much cheese. May have just been the one we got. Bacon wrapped dates--these were really good! The bacon wasn't too fatty. A crisp almond inside. Yum! Camarones al ajillo--this was spectacular! Similar to garlic shrimp we had on a food tour in Madrid. Perfectly cooked shrimp with fried sliced bits of garlic in a garlic sauce. Dip the bread in it! You won't regret getting this dish! It's almost a reason to come here. Service was very fast! So fast that we were in and out in less than an hour. My conclusion--if this restaurant was down the street from my house, I'd frequent it with friends. I'm sure there's more to try that's really good and our appetite was part of the problem. But not worth the cab fare from the strip.

I ended up choosing House of Dutch Pot. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Oniel, who welcomed us and quickly seated us with menus. He mentioned that he had a large group to serve (about fifteen people) but reassured us that his waitress would be arriving soon. Oniel took the time to explain the menu, and we placed our drink orders--mine was a pineapple and ginger mix, which turned out to be refreshingly unique. It was such a treat to see options beyond the usual sodas and iced teas. Oh my goodness, food was so good!! I got the combo plate, jerk chicken & oxtails, mac n cheese & grilled veggies. I had little bit of mac n cheese left & two pieces of chicken I took w/me, I ate that later. The ambiance was fantastic: beautiful decorations and Caribbean music playing at just the right volume, creating a lively atmosphere without overpowering our conversations. It's always a plus when you don't have to shout over the music. As the evening went on, the waitress and another cook joined, which was perfect timing since six more guests walked in. The waitress was friendly and pleasant, adding to the overall great experience. Oniel includes a little history about his journey on the menu, which is both interesting and inspiring. He runs the place with professionalism, efficiency, and a genuinely pleasant attitude. I highly recommend House of Dutch Pot to anyone visiting Las Vegas. I will definitely be going back when I visit Las Vegas.

Peru Chicken -- Authentic Peruvian Food By Ted Cucuro, Las…read moreVegas Nevada AI News, Hospitality Correspondent If your looking for a true taste of Peru-- the kind that feels like stepping straight into a family's cherished kitchen -- this fourth-generation, family-owned Peruvian restaurant is exactly where your compass should point. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back: here, tradition isn't just preserved; it's honored in every dish, every detail, and every warm interaction. From the moment you step inside, the family's heritage surrounds you. Beautiful wall photos of their most iconic plates set the tone, and the staff--genuinely friendly and wonderfully patient, are always eager to guide you through Peru's bold and comforting flavors. They're the kind of people who make you feel like a welcome guest, not just a customer. Main Course Highlights: Half Chicken with Rice & Salad, This is the dish that keeps regulars loyal. The half chicken, roasted to a perfect internal temperature of 170 degrees, is a masterclass in family tradition. Tender, unbelievably juicy, and crowned with that irresistible cracking golden skin, it's the kind of plate that makes you slow down and savor every bite. Paired with fluffy rice and a crisp, refreshing salad, it's simply perfection--no shortcuts, no gimmicks, just generations of culinary wisdom passed from grandmother onward. A cornerstone of Peruvian cuisine and one of my absolute favorites: their Lomo Saltado, bursts with flavor: wok-seared steak strips tossed with onions, tomatoes, all kissed by that signature Peruvian seasoning that balances comfort and excitement in one plate. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water. This is the dish that shows just how skilled this family is--bold, soulful, and deeply satisfying. Served with fries and rice. Appetizer: Anticuchos, a true Peruvian classic, and they execute it beautifully. Tender marinated beef heart--smoky, seasoned just right, threaded on skewers and grilled until beautifully charred. It's a dish full of character, and here, it tastes like it comes straight from Lima's street stalls. Dessert: Picarones, light, sweet, and addictive. These Peruvian-style doughnuts, made from squash and sweet potato, come fried to golden perfection and drenched in spiced syrup. It's the dessert that ends the meal with a smile, and makes you consider ordering a second batch for the road. Drink: Inca Kola-- "The Golden Kola" No Peruvian meal is complete without sipping on this bubbly, bright, almost floral soda. It's sweet, vibrant, and uniquely Peru. If you haven't tried it yet, prepare for a new favorite. Whether you choose to dine in, carry out, or use their catering services, this restaurant delivers warmth, authenticity, and generations of flavor every time. It's family-oriented, full of heart, and run by people who clearly love what they do-- and it shows. This is more than a meal. It's a Peruvian family's legacy served with pride. And fortunate for us, they're sharing it with Las Vegas, one delicious plate at a time.
