My mom's raggedy nails for $40!
    S T.

Still giving this salon one star years later on the behalf of my Mom. My mom went in and wanted a acrylic overlay on her natural nails. Somehow she got dip powder and they charged $40 for this crap service. Didn't even take care of her cuticles! I called to ask the price and of course the lady started arguing and being defensive. I hung up and she called ME back TWICE! Only offering $5 discount. Also, my mom said she wanted to pay via credit card and when you saw she pulled out cash, you told her she had cash in her hand and to pay with that? Very unprofessional!

Linda is out for next 3 weeks. If you can wait, WAIT. I could not and the folks working for her I had never seen before & hope to not see them again. My nails were laughed at and joked about for 10min minimum, in there language. It was terrible, (Linda does my nails beautifully & in no way does this reflect her) the guy doing my nails he cut himself and repeatedly I suggest he put band aid on(he was bleeding) he ignored me. With the dremmel He cut 1 finger and spun out on 3 fingers. The worse ever fill, & gel polish. CAN'T WAIT FOR LINDA TO RETURN

Nail tech buffed my skin off that it was bleeding! It hurt so bad & not once did she apologize or acknowledge she hurt me. Worst pedi ever!

I am only giving this place one star because Jessica saved me from this nightmare of a pedi! Jessica is great & I highly recommend her! This other lady, that I unfortunately don't know her name was awful! Bad customer service & does not know how to give pedicures! Don't go to her, u will regret it!! (She is middle aged, long hair w/highlights, very skinny)

I've been coming here for like forever, well not really but 5 years seems like forever. About 18 or so months ago the place was sold and it was definitely for the better!!! The service has drastically improved. It is no longer rough shod and quick, instead the new owners and staff take their time paying attention to details making sure you leave happy with a flawless set. I usually get acrylics with French tips and they always come out perfectly, I get tons of rave reviews from friends about them. Then my toes get a matching color after getting a pedicure. I really love every one here. Linda does wonders as does her son and the rest.

I usually get my nails done in Elk Grove at my usual spot, but I've been busy and haven't been able to make it down there. I walked into a completely empty nail shop and told the gal I wanted a gel manicure. She was extremely friendly and very fast! She said she's been doing nails for 15 years! My nails came out nice. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was their color selection. I wanted one nail to have glitter but there was only 2 glitters to choose from and she didn't sound confident in what I was asking her to do. I opted to just get one color and no design. I like my regular nail lady because she can do design and her shop has over 100 gel colors to choose from! In a tight pinch I might come back here.

Quite possibly the BEST pedicure I have ever had, seriously! I have regular monthly pedi's with my fave girl Dee Dee at the Nail and Skin Emporium (Dublin) and no one tops her but this sure came damn close!! If you're in Sacramento this is the place you need to be at. Leaving for a weekend of fun in Vegas we all decided fresh pedi's were a must. One of the girls in our group local to the area recommended this place and booked appointments for all 4 of us at the same time ensuring we'd make it in time to the airport. The place is located in a strip mall type setting and admittedly I was skeptical at first. There were 7 (I think) pedicure/massage chairs and 4-5 nail stations along with a hair cutting station. Things I immediately noticed and liked: their sink used for washing hands and instruments was in plain view so everyone could see; they also had a sterilization machine with the pedi tools in it that was visible. All of the tools used on us came straight out of the sterilization unit which made me feel much more comfortable being in a new place. They offer two types of pedicures, your basic pedi for $20 and the deluxe pedi for $30. I first opted for the regular one but when I noticed the deluxe one was a full hour and included a scrub, hot rock leg and foot massage, a paraffin dip and a mask I was sold. And let me tell you it was so worth the extra $10! This place doesn't mess around when it comes to scrubbing away all the dead skin on your feet! Most places I've been to do some half ass job with little to no power with that pumice stone but not this place..he really scrubbed my feet. The hot rock leg and foot massage was awesome!!! The massage alone lasted for a full 10 minutes (and then some) and it was awesome!!!! Included in my deluxe pedi: Soak, cleanse, nail trim, cuticle treatment, pumice stone scrub (bottoms of feet), leg scrub, hot rock massage, paraffin dip, leg mask with hot towels topped off with another massage of lotion and the polish. All while sitting in a massaging chair. WOW! Seriously it was awesome!!! The whole thing lasted a little longer than an hour and I've never been to a place where they spend so much time on the massage, it was great. Polish came out looking super fly (hot pink, with a white and silver stripe for Vegas). There was a dollar extra charge for using your credit card and they will take your debit card as long as it has a Visa or MasterCard logo (the dollar extra still applies). Everyone in our group had the deluxe pedi and was super impressed with the treatment and pleased with the results. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back to this place! Another nice thing to note about this place was that while we were being taken care of the manicurists didn't sit and chat in a different language in front of us, instead they engaged us in conversation but also left us to relax if we didn't feel like talking. This was a service plus for me!

I have been going here for the past two years and have never been disappointed. Linda and Ken are my favorite and they are very quick and always do a good job. I usually get long nails - either the coffin style or natural shape. My nails are brittle and look pretty bad naturally. I always come in looking a mess and they transform my nail game for real. If you become a regular, you start to really know who is good at what. If you know what you want you'll get what you ask for if you are specific and be straight to the point. Don't be wishy washy and unsure or think you're the nail expert and expect a perfect set after they told you it would not come out as you'd hope. Fast paced, good customer service, good gel nail collection.

New management! Ken an Linda have moved away, and Sam is the only face I recognize. But wait. All is not lost. Far from it. Want a mimosa, or a water with fresh orange slice in a wine glass while you get your treatment? How about a hot stone foot massage with your pedi or a full scale hot massage for 1 hour $25 introductory rate? Fresh flowers and ferns, clean floors counters and let's not forget Nick. He talked me into chrome Balayage with pale sparkles pink and a few rhinestones. Subtle and classy. And he's a hoot! Had a great time, and although I lived the family that used to run the place (including sweet Wilson!) I'm ok with the new management in town. Go!

The ONLY nail salon I will let do my nails cause they're that good. They always do a great job and I leave happy everytime. Always nice and friendly and usually never turn me away.

Nick did an amazing job! I'm so in love with my nails!
    Shavonne T.

So I came to this nail shop for the first time last week & I literally fell in love with the mimosa, the customer service and most importantly NICK! He did amazing on my nails!!! Nailworks has definitely gained a new customer!

I'm so glad I found Blush Nail & Beauty Bar! First of all, this place is BEAUTIFUL. The salon is spacious, bright, clean and relaxing, and the pedicure chairs are gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. The music was also SO GOOD! They were playing what sounded like 2000s R&B, and it honestly added so much to the whole relaxing atmosphere. I also really appreciated that they had a good selection of regular nail polish. I don't get gel, and not once did anyone question my choice or try to pressure me into upgrading to gel. That alone was refreshing. The original color I picked was very sheer, and I asked if they could put white underneath it. They explained that doing that could make it look streaky and recommended choosing another color instead. I didn't end up with the exact color I originally wanted, but I appreciated them explaining why rather than doing something they didn't think would turn out well. I still really like the soft color I ended up with. I chose their least expensive manicure and pedicure package, and I was honestly surprised by how much was included. The pedicure was wonderful -- probably the best foot massage I've ever had. It was so relaxing I was practically falling asleep! It even included paraffin wax. My manicure technician was wonderful too. She gave a great massage and was very gentle and patient with my cuticles. I can get nervous when my cuticles are pushed back and trimmed, and I felt completely comfortable here. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, patient and welcoming. They also offer complimentary mimosas, wine and beer. I chose an ice water, and even that was delicious and refreshing. Overall, this was such a nice unexpected find during our Sacramento day. Beautiful salon, comfortable chairs, amazing music, great massages, friendly staff, regular polish without the gel pressure, and a genuinely relaxing experience. I would absolutely come here again the next time I'm in Sacramento

I scheduled a visit a few days in advance for three people and four services and paid an $80 deposit ($20 per service) via Venmo. One person canceled that morning, but I was able to switch to a different service for myself that same day vs. losing my deposit. The two pedicures were fine. They were basic pedicures, and aside from the water initially being extremely hot, I was happy with the results. Because of the deposit, there was also no wait time. The head spa, however, was a completely different experience. This was my first head spa, so I was excited and expected it to be relaxing. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The massage was brief, and despite the menu stating that oils would be used, none were applied. During the double cleanse, the technician used her fingernails rather than her fingertips, which became painful. There was also an excessive amount of cleanser, and rinsing it out was difficult. The water temperature was extremely inconsistent--going from hot to ice cold--and water got into my ear. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable throughout the service. Afterward, my hair was not completely dry. When I asked for serum, I was told it had already been applied, and I had to explain that I wanted my hair fully dried and soft. Another staff member eventually finished drying it, and the end result was much better. The two services totaled $138, or $158 with a 15% tip. I shared all of this feedback with the front desk before leaving. They were receptive and said they would provide additional training. I was also told that the technician was new to the salon and has some communication issues. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns, but based on my head-spa experience, I would not return for that service. *********************************************************** FINAL THOUGHTS Making a reservation requires a deposit, but it does give you priority if there's a wait. PRO TIP: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all. If you're coming in solo, you can probably skip the reservation and deposit. I've had two pedicures here, and the service was totally fine. No issues at all. I also clearly saw the technicians using Barbicide to disinfect their metal tools, although I didn't pay attention to where they pulled the drill bits from. Overall, the salon is CLEAN, which I really appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't get a head spa treatment here again. I was told they're having plumbing issues because the building is old and that their plumber hasn't been able to resolve the problem. However, based on my experience, I feel some of the issues were related to the technician and not just the plumbing. That said, I'd love to hear from others who have had a head spa here. How was your experience with the water temperature? Did you have a better experience with a different technician? I'd genuinely be curious to know!

I just came back today and got a fill - specifically requested for no polish because I have my family member doing it for my wedding reception this weekend. Somehow the fill was still $50 when I used to get full sets with designs starting at $50. When I asked for clarification I just got told "yeah that's right." I also got a pedicure but I wasn't asked what type, just assumed it was the basic one. Yes it was very nice she did great, I also got french tips. But found out that was $62 and again when asking just got told "yeah that's right." Just a bit frustrating when it doesn't seem like the service was extra or "luxury" per se. Yes I understand it's been awhile as well and inflation is a very real thing. I was excited to come back and Andy was sweet and did a great job. I just can't understand the pricing when at other places it's $40 for a pedicure and $35/40 for fills for the same services. There's no pricing online so maybe that's my fault for not asking ahead of time. Definitely feels like a bit of a rip off and I don't think I'll be back anymore unfortunately.

We arrived at around 2 pm, it got a little busier after I had to come back to get my nails fixed. The staff was very kind and we had some nice conversations. Environment was spacious and there was no wait time. Amy did gel nails for my friend and Henry did her gel pedicure. She was happy with the results and they did a great job! Speed and quality gets thumbs up for them. My experience was entirely different. Vy did my gel manicure and I asked if she could sand down my vertical ridges on my nails. She said there's nothing I can do but the gel would cover it anyways. Interesting... because that wasn't my experience with other nail techs. I noticed she applied a few coats but the edges were noticeably messy. When she started applying lotion to my hands, I realized she was finished but the results were unacceptable. I showed my friend sitting next to me and she didn't have the guts to tell me until we left. Vy noticed I wasn't happy after I asked her to take a look at the edge of my nails. There was so many areas of missing paint and she began using the drill to sand down the top coat. After that she tried to fix it by repainting another coat over it. I felt terrible even bringing it up so I kept apologizing and thanking her for the extra work. However, her response was a bit concerning: she said, "It's okay, I probably couldn't see." All of my nails? That definitely made me wonder why I would ever come back here. By the time my nails were done with Vy, my friend's gel pedicure and gel manicure were complete. It took about an hour for both of us. After we leave, I see my nails in broad daylight and it magnifies the flaws even more. I sent a photo to my step-sister who owns a nail salon and she told me to go back and have them fixed because it looked terrible. I called them back and Annie picked up the phone. Annie said I could text the photo to them and told me they'd fix it. I come back 30 minutes later and get another nail tech by the name of Andy. Andy looked my nails and had no words, he just apologized. He seated me right away and said they'd do another color for me no problem. At this point I didn't want gel because I didn't want to ever have to come back to this salon again. I was mortified. I asked them to remove the gel and just give me a clear coat but they insisted gel - I had to tell them 3 times I didn't want it. I told him it was my first time here but the difference with Andy was: he delivered high quality work and had a great attitude to be resolving my issues. 10 years of experience and I felt like he actually cared. The ridges on my nails I mentioned to Vy were addressed immediately without me even having to ask. Andy used the drill and sanded it down and also filed my nails. All of these little steps were missed the first time. My family owns a couple of nail salons in the east coast. I can't believe I had to text them these photos. The worst part was I felt ashamed for even having to call the store to complain and come back. Despite my first results, they handled the problem with grace and the customer service of Annie and Andy was appreciated. I basically paid for gel manicure plus tip to get my gel polish removed. There was no way I'd be seen in public like that. Thank you for actually caring about the satisfaction of your customers. Not all nail techs deliver the same quality!

I'm writing to address the experience I had at your salon today, which was not only disappointing…read morebut completely unacceptable. I have been a loyal client for over a year, consistently spending over $100 per visit, and I have always come in respectfully, communicated clearly, and expected the level of service that matches the price I pay. Today, a nail tech abruptly took over my service and immediately told me I "should go somewhere else" because I'm "never satisfied." I have never raised my voice, insulted anyone, or behaved disrespectfully. I simply expect quality for the price I pay. She went as far as saying the staff "gets scared" when I come in, which is not only unprofessional but completely false. Throughout the past year, I've also noticed that the staff frequently speaks in their language while looking directly at me or other clients, creating an uncomfortable environment where customers feel talked about instead of respected. This has happened every single time I've visited. To make matters worse, shortly before my service was finished, I overheard another woman complaining about her nail tech as well, proving I'm not the only customer experiencing issues. When I requested a small discount due to the disrespect I received, the salon refused. No apology, no accountability, and no professionalism. After a year of loyalty and hundreds of dollars spent, this is how I was treated. I will not be returning, and I hope management seriously reevaluates how staff communicates with customers and handles feedback.
