Awesome hole in the wall nail salon at ShopSmart. I went from the eyebrow threading shop over to the nail shop to get my nails done and if I wanted to, I can go get my hair done from the front of ShopSmart at the hair salon. Overall, for your beauty needs, ShopSmart is very convenient. This nail shop is great and although they don't have spa chairs and all that fancy stuff, the girls are very friendly, helpful, and are good at what they do. Blanca did my nails today and she was great. Being in the nurse profession, I can't/didn't want long, acrylic nails so I did simple white gel nail polish in my always-short nails. I'm surprised to the variety of pretty gel nail colors they have as well. It came out to $25 which is reasonable. These ladies are very talented so book ahead because they usually already have appointments weeks in advance. But the plus is that they have more than one nail tech with varied availability. I love that each person takes their time and makes the client feel like they are the only one there. I have never felt rushed when coming here. I also love that the area is open so it doesn't have that harsh acrylic smell that most nail places have when you walk in and being pregnant at the time when I first tried them this was refreshing ! That was one of the reasons I had stopped going to the nail salon because my sensitive nose couldn't take the smell. This is the best nail salon I have ever been to! There are so many great things about this place that you need to experience it to believe it. It can be hard to get an appointment some times but that would be my only complaint! 1. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Patti is the woman that I usually have do my nails but I have had experience with the other ladies and they are just perfect. They answer all your questions and take the time to review what you want and they almost never tell you that they cannot do something! They are true artists! 2. Their work is the best of the best. I am notorious for going MONTHS without getting a fill and you know what? These things last forever! No lifting, breaking or falling off. I work in an office so I deal with typing, filing and not to mention cleaning at home, children, and any other activities and they make it through! Ok so I came here since a friend of mine saw the shop while buying furniture. Thought I would give it a try. I came in as a walk in. No problem there. Place was empty. Should have left then but I really wanted my nails done. Just asked for standard acrylics, no art just polish. Had my nails done by a Tae or Tay (not sure). Omg they were awful! Had lumps and bumps like a water slide. Two lifted 3 days later. I ended up taking them off myself and went to a different salon and had them done perfectly. Even paid less for a very nice job. As my nail artist Tay (the manager) was asking her employee behind her to set up her station for the event they where hosting tonight the employee raised her voice and stormed out of her station like a child being asked to do something by there mother. mind you this is a professional establishment. First time going here, I thought I'd try them out. I called a week ago to schedule my appointment for a full acrylic set with white tips (French manicure). Arrived 15 mins early to my appointment, for the first 10 minutes no one even asked if I had an appointment and there was no sign in sheet or anything of that sort. Finally 5 minutes before my appointment I was asked if I had an appointment and was told to wait for a bit. After I am seated, the nail tech Marina (or Berta as shown on her license) begins to do my nails. I notice she isn't doing them how I normally have my acrylics done, and begin to see she is doing what is called 'sculpture nails.' Let me tell you that I am PISSED. I called ahead and scheduled for acrylics with the plastic nails, NOT these nails. They look hideous! They are different sizes, uneven, bubbly on the top part of the nail and look sloppy. I told her I had scheduled an appointment for the acrylic plastic nail set and she says "she wanted to try a new technique out." so I was basically her lab rat for that. As soon as she was done she still had the nerve to tell me to message her in about a week and let her know how they look and if they have already fallen off! Not only that, but she took 1 hour and 40 mins doing these nails, when I could have gotten beautiful nails done in 45 mins, and despite being tested on for this new technique I was still overcharged. I couldn't really tell the quality while I was there cause you really only have a couple minutes to look them over. They seemed ok. The following day 2 lifted and they were so lumpy and uneven I had to go somewhere else to have them drilled and shaped. Unfortunately, I couldn't have them totally fixed because it was all powder and just 1 color. So I called owner who was very nice and said I could come back in to have them fixed. I didn't want Tay to fix them but she wouldn't let anyone else. She again didn't do a good job. Very inexperienced, odd techniques, and it took about an hour and a half to replace 1 nail and shape the rest. I was also overcharged according to my friend. I just settled. Very very disappointed. I usually came here for my nails, but last few times just didn't seem to go right . They sculpted my nails with a blue themed nail design on found on Pinterest and she was able to do them beautifully, but they seem to peel right off a few days later, I don't remember the girls name but she did a good job even tho she was on the phone with someone talking about her baby daddy and her tax money that he wasn't getting while doing my nails . After I came back, Nayra was the one who did my nails again. I wanted a simple matte green with a black accent nail and she put this pixie dust that fell off almost immediately and caught all my makeup and practically everything I touched caught in the holes that the pixie dust was originally supposed to be in . I called and let them know I hated it , and they offered to let me come in same day to have fixed , free of charge . I came in and they had me soak my nails in Alcohol, which dried my fingers like crazy and I still damaged my nails. Then when it finally came down to redoing my nails, Nayra took a long time to get it done. She even had to have the supervisor come work on my other hand since it was time for closing . Mind you I got there around 430 and didn't leave until past closing around 720p. No reason it should take that long . I loved the design she was able to do after BUT she skimped out on the glitter dip powder and coated with with clear powder which made the design look off when you look closer at it . From a distance it looked nice: but Nayra can use more practice on dip powder and blending them. read more

No stars! I guess the only one who knows how to do nails at this place is the owner patti. I came here and got a simple white tip! White tip (the easiest thing to do! And I know this because my sister is in the industry I just wanted to give this place a try since my sister was too busy that day!) customer service horrible! Anyways after I paid I walked out pissed! They shouldn't be charging people when they are practicing!! The girl who did my nails build them up and as I noticed they were pretty thick so I told her if she can file them a bit more she said that she couldn't file much more because the nail may not last long... When I left I looked at my nails in my car they were so disgusting!!! My index finger nails were not straight!!! Seriously no joke!! The white from the white tip was not even straight.
