This place is SO beyond cute the floral inside is so relaxing, very clean and they don't pressure you to do everything under the sun, very respectful and kind, quiet and peaceful. Amazing service includes a mini massage and the price I paid is amazing for gel and services. I used to have anxiety going because I hated to go but can't wait to come back! What a gem! read more

I've been to Blooming Nails on J Street about five times now, and unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning. My first few visits were actually really good, which is why I kept coming back and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when later appointments felt rushed. I even came here for my wedding nails and eyebrows, and looking back, I wish I had spoken up more because that appointment also felt rushed. My most recent visit was kind of the last straw. I came in for a gel manicure, a basic pedicure, and an eyebrow wax. The total was around $105 before tipping, and I tipped both nail techs who worked on me. What bothered me most was how chaotic and rushed the entire experience felt. While I was getting my pedicure, they were also doing my gel manicure at the same time, with everything basically balanced around and on top of me. The gel lamp itself seemed broken because the bottom kept falling off, so it was being pushed against a pillow on my lap while I was trying to cure my nails. I had to awkwardly stretch my arm over to the side throughout the manicure, and every time I tried to put my hand into the lamp, my polish would smear. It was stressful instead of relaxing. My cuticle was nicked, there was polish left around my cuticles, and the cat-eye effect I asked for didn't seem to be working properly either. The whole manicure just felt like something they were trying to get through as quickly as possible rather than taking their time and making sure it looked right. Then I went to get my eyebrows waxed. The wax didn't even feel warm, and it seemed like she was trying to make it work anyway. I honestly left feeling like my eyebrows looked almost exactly the same as when I came in. Now it's only day three and my gel polish is already chipping. I really wanted to like this place because I had good experiences here in the beginning, and I've given them multiple chances. But after several visits, the consistent feeling I get is that the services are rushed and the attention to detail just isn't there. When you're spending over $100 and leaving tips on top of that, you shouldn't leave feeling stressed, disappointed, and like you need your services redone a few days later. read more

I have been here about five times now. I've gotten dip manicures with Hailey. And I am beyond disappointed in the low quality of her work, how rude she is to customers, and how much she rushed through each appointment. Every single time I've gone I've had to go back every other day for two weeks because the nails begin to chip and break within only a few hours of leaving the salon. I've put so much of my money and my time into this place and I just have reached my absolute limit. It was my birthday last week and not only did Hailey chose to rush me and gaslight me the entire time during the appointment on my birthday, but my nails began to chip and break immediately. ALSO, they did not offer any kind of birthday discount (like every other salon does) and charged me full price and I still tipped 20% on my birthday. We rescheduled an appointment for me to come in at 1:30 PM for her to fix them. I was 5 minutes late due to my dog having diarrhea, but When I came in, she was about 15 minutes into a pedicure -- so clearly she had no intention of keeping my appointment or making sure that my appointment was started on time. Every single nail tech at that salon kept telling me oh just one more minute just one more minute... EXCEPT Hailey who outright ignored me and acted as though I wasn't even there. Finally at 2:25P -- an HOUR later-- my appointment finally started. Hailey did not speak a word to me. She didn't make eye contact with me. It was so weird and so unsettling and rude. When the abuse and torture was finally over, I thought it would be the right thing to do for me to at least offer her $5 even though this clearly should be a free appointment AND she had even told me while doing my nails on my birthday "if they chip you just come back and I fix for you" -- I thought it was so weird that she said that in the middle of doing my manicure as if she anticipated they would break because of how low quality her work is. Anyway, I offered her the $5, she grabbed it from me and just walked away. She did not say thank you. She did not say no I cannot accept that. She literally just plucked the $5 bill out of my hand and walked away. I was absolutely shocked at the greediness. I don't even know why I continue to go back here or to tip them 20%. I guess I've just been hopeful that they would improve - but nope. I will not be going back ever. coming as no surprise: my nails began chipping and breaking within 2 hours of this second appointment to fix the problems from the first appointment. I let them know that I do expect to be fully refunded (including BOTH tips) or I will be calling the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to report the salon. I am convinced now this place is a SCAM. Keep your money and your sanity -- go to a different nail place where you will be treated with respect and get work that is equal in quality and value to the amount they are charging you-- whereas Blooming nails will just outright OVERcharge you without a second thought. They do not care about their customers. They only care about the money. read more

Went back for a removal and manicure and all I can say is gross. There was a dirty tissue from the tech wiping her nose on it that was then used on my fingers during the service. The removal itself was fine as was the manicure but the lack of professionalism and cleanliness here is a deterrent. read more

Dropped in and nice they got me in so quickly without appt but unfortunately I won't be back. Asked for gel removed and replaced with basic manicure to give my nails a health break. Sorry, but I could have done better myself. My nails were left filed really rough, there was obvious rough skin left hanging off edges, uneven and sloppy paint job. Really disappointed. What you can't see also is how rough the nail beds were left before the polish was applied. I usually go elsewhere but this seemed convenient in my way home. I'm sure they'll stay busy because of their location but I'll go back to other places. On a positive note the salon was clean and the staff were pleasant. read more

They do such excellent work at Blooming nails salon. And they're not hyper focused on gel/ dip manis only. I prefer an old school acrylic manicure with a gel clear topcoat to protect from chips. Thank you blooming nails for making my hands happy read more

I had an amazing experience here! Hailey did my JLX full set in a gorgeous pink gold chrome, and Rose gave me a sparkly red pedicure that looks fabulous. Both ladies are truly professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. The salon is impeccably clean and relaxing -- you can tell they take pride in everything they do. I'll be uploading pictures soon so everyone can see their beautiful work! If you're in Sacramento, come and support Hailey and Rose -- they're amazing at what they do, and you won't be disappointed! read more

This was the worst experience we have ever had. We had an appointment for two regular mani and pedis. They kept forcing me to upgrade my service. I asked if they served mimosas as their website says. She told me that they only gave mimosas to people who upgraded to their more expensive service. It was downhill from there. She kept pushing me to upgrade my daughter's service until we agreed on a triangle french tip. She did not do anything like the picture. When we said we were unhappy, she simply said my daughter decided it was ok what she did. We went back and forth. I asked to see the owner- this woman in the photo was the worst of them all. She went and locked the door "so that we wouldn't run" and called the police. The other nail tech said "I saw them when they walked in that they were trouble" we never had one single conversation with that lady. It was 100% profiling. The lady who said she was the manager refused to let me talk to the owner but was not trying to diffuse the situation either. Do not go to this place. It used to be called Charming Nail Bar and it says "under new management" but it is the same people and their customer service is the worst This nail tech in particular said she didn't want to fix the nails and wanted to removed the nails and wanted us to leave then she locked the door to get ready to call the police. We are still in complete shock. This ruined our special mommy and daughter date. Do not go back there ever read more

Customers service needs to improve and the reason why Is because the manager ..Haley herself schedule my appointment for 2:00 and then change it onsite Because she chose to do a lady and her daughter And try to push my appointment back Like I don't matter, I was very disappointed and unhappy with the customer service However the replacement was good she did a great pedicure And was very nice her name is Nancy I will come back to see her! read more

I've been coming to Bloomington nails for almost a year. I get the BEST pedicures! I also make sure to ask for what I want and let any tech know if it's not what I was wanting and they ALWAYS accommodate. I showed a photo of what I wanted today and it was executed so beautifully! Such kind ladies, clean environment and love the location! read more

Friendly service. When you go inside, there's a little slope going up so be careful on your way in. My fiancé and I were asked to sign in (no appointment, just walk ins). We asked for a Mani/Pedi for both of us. We got seated for our Pedi shortly. While our feet soak in water, we were even drinks and snacks while seating on a massage chair. He really liked the massage chair! They cleaned, sugar scrubbed, and massagd our feet. I got my toe nails painted white (for the upcoming wedding) and he got his nails cut and cuticles cleaned. After the pedicure, I was asked to get my acrylic sets, so I sat in the middle chairs. I showed Hailey (nail tech) my inspired photo that I want to get, and she immediately got to work. This is my first time getting acrylics and I had a lot of ingrown on my fingers. I came in with previous cuts from my ingrown, but Hailey was able to go around it and cut it clean. It was quick and simple, and she did an amazing job in my opinion. The total for both my future hubby and I was around $210 ($25/manicure + $35/pedicure + $75/acrylic full set + tip) Before tip was around $170 (we got discount also got discount ) I would definitely come back here! read more

I went to Amy for the first time a few weeks ago for a dip manicure on my natural nails, and they lasted a full month! My nails were longer and stronger than they've ever been -- I was seriously so impressed. I went back today to get dip again because she truly does such a beautiful job, and I'll definitely keep coming back to her. Amy is so sweet, super attentive, and you can tell she really cares about the health of your nails. She takes her time and makes sure everything looks perfect every single time. The salon itself is also so cute and relaxing. So happy I found her! read more

Moved to midtown a few weeks ago and got my nails done after the first of year. Loved my nails and they lasted about 2 weeks which is normal for me. I'll be back! read more

I had an 11:30 appointment. I got there early and was asked to wait, not a problem. Someone came in after me, she didn't have an appointment but called on the way in. They took her versus taking me, even the woman who was a "walked in" acknowledged that she didn't have an appointment. The nail salon lady double downed and would NOT take me next. This is how they treat their customers who plan ahead. Shameful customer service!!! Will never go back. read more

The people were friendly enough. Provided snacks and were pleasant. The problem was with the "manicure". There was very little done to my hands and fingers. Cuticles pushed back, a little filing and buff prep of the nails. I was pressured to get gel and didn't want it, so I got regular polish and it started coming off the next day, even though I wasn't doing anything to warrant it. I was traveling, on vacation and not dong any household chores that would cause them to chip after 24 hours. Later when I got home I had my regular nail person paint them with regular polish and they lasted 2 weeks before any chipping was noticeable. And, all the while I was doing holiday baking and household chores. What's the difference? I don't know, but I won't go anywhere but my own person ever again! read more

Found my go to nail and eyebrow wax place! Bestie and i were walk-ins on Friday. Did a basic black gel manicure and this was the fastest and best manicure I've ever gotten!!! I swear I've never had a 10/10 opinion about how my nails come out at the nail salon (usually 7/10 or 8/10 at other places) but Blooming Nails did me so good!!! My bestie also got her nails done and an eyebrow wax and they came out great too! So great in fact that I decided to get my eyebrows waxed as well. I overplucked my brows and had been growing them out so I was skeptical about getting them waxed but she did so great with shaping them properly and now I can just fill them in the waiting for more hair to grow back. Can't wait to go back again in a few weeks!! the shop is also so clean and I love the aesthetic and vibe in there! read more
