During my most recent visit, I arrived 15 minutes early and checked to confirm if my technician would be available at my scheduled time. The receptionist mentioned they should be finishing up with a walk-in client shortly. Unfortunately, I wasn't seen until nearly 30 minutes after my appointment time, resulting in about a 45-minute wait overall. Had I known there would be such a delay, I could've easily stepped out to run an errand and returned without issue. A little more transparency with timing would go a long way. That said, I still enjoyed my visit and would recommend this place. My advice for anyone on a tight schedule is to be proactive and assertive when confirming your appointment time. I arrived at 6:00 PM and requested a chrome French tip with a flame design and overlay tips. The technician agreed, but after multiple failed attempts (including spending 20 minutes trying to do one flame), I had to settle for a much simpler design because it was clear she could not deliver what was promised. The pedicure portion didn't even begin until after 8:00 PM and then felt completely rushed since the salon was already closed. For the price I paid, rushed and subpar work is unacceptable. To make matters worse, my big toe was done incorrectly, and instead of fixing it during my appointment, I was told to come back another day. No client paying this amount should have to return to fix a mistake that should have been corrected on the spot. I contacted the salon to resolve the issue, and instead of taking accountability, the manager (Helen) argued with me on the phone for over 10 minutes and refused to offer any type of refund or reasonable resolution. This experience showed a lack of skill, poor time management, and unprofessional customer service from both staff and management. I asked for a shellac French manicure. From the moment the man sat down to do my nails, he seemed irritated and acted as if he did not want to be bothered. For starters, the base color was completely wrong. Instead of a natural/nude base for a French manicure, he used a champagne-colored polish with shimmer. The French tip lines were also extremely thin and uneven. Not once did he stop to ask if I liked the shape, thickness of the French tips, or how my nails were looking. When my hand came out from under the light, I politely told him, "I don't think I like this. The French tips are uneven." His reaction was completely unacceptable. He slammed the gel light out of the way and jerked my hands toward him to remove the polish. I am a grown woman and paying customer, and there was absolutely no reason to handle me that way simply because I respectfully said I was unhappy with the service. He then used the drill so aggressively on my nails that it felt like he was drilling through them instead of working on an actual person. One of my fingers was cut and is still injured from the service. I understand that nail technicians can be busy and that sometimes a customer may not like the finished look. That can be corrected. What I do NOT understand or accept is being treated disrespectfully and handled roughly because I politely spoke up about a service I was paying for. The manicure itself was disappointing, but his attitude and the way he physically handled my hands were what made the experience completely unacceptable. I will never return to this nail salon.
