I have been all over the Mesa area, where I live, to find a place that does great nails that last. I use regular polish, I stopped gel years ago and I just haven't found a place that doesn't chip after a week. I had a place in Oregon that I went once a month and loved them and had no chipping issues. Anyway this was a great little gem and we enjoyed the company of everyone that worked there. I truly enjoy going to this salon, instead of sitting while the nail tech talks to every other tech about who knows what, these people ask about how Im doing. They talk to me about their family and I talk about mine. They asked me to describe what Im looking to get done and then check with me during the process to see if it is turning out the way I expected. That really impressed me considering the fact that my old hands are twisted up with arthritis, but both Kevin and his wife assured me they have seen it much worse and they would do their best to make the outcome look good, and they did!!! Sometimes people go into these salons and treat the technicians like personal servants, I am often embarrassed to be associated with the over indulged, predominantly white, often loudly demeaning and judgmental people of the last few generations. Uncomfortable vibe, not professional. I had nail dip and it lifted off after several nails in a few days. My nails were uneven.

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNREFINED service. Kevin stepped away from servicing me two times to socialize with non-patron's that visited the salon. NO explanation. NO apology. Additionally, he asked many personal questions which were non of his concern or business. As for the service itself, "run of the mill". He walked away twice wearing the gloves he was servicing me on. A friend and I went for a mani-pedi. Pedicures first. Friend & I were catching up, and Nail Tech adds her unsolicited, inappropriate comment to every subject we discussed. Example: Me: I do not understand how women with those looooong acrylic nails type on a computer or their phone! Nail tech: "That's not the question you should be asking. You SHOULD be asking how does she wipe her BUTT!" Ooohhh yes she did. Another thing that bugs me is the manicure done in mid-air, There were two other customers in the salon. Rather than moving us to side by side manicure tables, both nail techs stood by our pedicure chair and did these awkward manicures. One star for a pretty good pedicure. Save your money for better services. My best friend and I were there to get our nails done. We were the only two in the shop and when I tell you .... my friends nails were rushed and I was soaking for an hour while the folks down here helped other customers worth their time. I decided to no longer go with my gel manicure and just did a clear coat as they were already rude and had no consideration of our time . I had to wait 10-15 minutes past my appointment time, and only received 1/2 the service I requested. When I paid I asked "no manicure today"? The response was "no, not today". I had an appt for 2 pedicures on a Friday. When we walked in it was quite busy. There was no acknowledgment from any employee asking "how can we help" or " do you have an appt". So we looked at the polish colors and sat down. There were 4 other people waiting as well. After a few mins of no acknowledgment we decided to leave. But the BIGGEST reason we left is because of the insane chemical smell in this place. I instantly got a headache from the fumes. I get it, it's a nail salon full of chemicals however, there was zero ventilation! I am glad we didn't stay to see if they would have honored our appt time, because the fumes alone would have made me throw up. We found Happy Nails 5 miles up the road and had a much more pleasant experience , in a cleaner more bright and less smelly spot. read more

When it today to get a manicure! Will not be going back!!! Everyone was very nice but for a $50 acrylic manicure with no designs I expected a better manicure then what I received! I wasn't asked what shape I wanted my nails. The girl just cut them the way she wanted. I have acrylic powder stuck to the sides of my fingers along with nail glue. It was extremely rushed and in my option super sloppy and half assed. I have paid less for an acrylic manicure that was a million times better then what I received today! I never knew having 2 nails on each finger was considered a "design" but whatever! We will be trying a different place in town next time! If you want good service don't go here. I would have given this place five stars except for the fact that the technician was a little bit aggressive and caused me some pain on my toes. Other than that, the place was quick to get to me, clean, attractive, and the facilities were very pleasant and up-to-date. I loved that the hot stone massage was included in the base pedicure! I really like where this place is located. Close by to my friends place and the right size so it's not too crowded. The prices were a bit steep, but I'm happy to support a "mom & pop shop" I got the basic pedicure which was $25- me being from California- these are cali prices! Haha! The place was clean, they played a movie while I sat there and got my pedicure, and they had CHILLED beverages in a mini fridge to choose from, and they had a copious amount of magazines to peruse whilst getting services done! I was here to get a pedicure and gel manicure for a wedding. While I was getting a pedicure, I noticed that after someone else's pedicure they drained the tub and then filled it up for the next person. Didn't spray the tub out or anything! Had they not already started my pedicure, I would have walked out! They did my gel manicure while I was sitting in the pedicure chair getting a pedicure. They did not prep the nail (etch) so the product would stick to the nail. I could tell the product was soft and would easily come off the nail. I tried to be careful to make it through the wedding. Afterwards sure enough, peeled the gel right off. You couldn't even tell I had gel polish on them. read more

I decided to checkout this place out since it had a pretty good rating. The reviews I would say are pretty accurate. This place is similar to most places I have gone to in the past for help with my nails. The staff was friendly and nice. It was not busy at all when I went in and I didn't need an appointment. I was seated fairly quickly and was asked to pick out my colors. I got a gel pedicure on this visit. The prices were about average. The place was clean and their tools appeared cleaned and sanitized.
