I highly recommend hot spot nail spa. This spot is boutique style and very cozy warm vibes. My daughters and I got manicures and pedicures and they did a fantastic job. This is a mixed review. This was my sister and my first and unfortunately our last visit there. The ladies in the salon are very friendly and the shop is clean. If you're looking for massage chairs while you get your pedicure, they don't have them. Now six days after my appt I have a chip and from the looks of it, another one will shortly happen. I'm bummed because they did a good job and yes, here comes the but.... Now, shame on me for not checking the prices before hand but typically salons are all within $5-$10 of their pricing. So "after" my appointment is done, I'm told my total is.... $90!! AND they only take cash or check as payment. Luckily, I had enough cash in my wallet to not only pay them but tip $20.00. Mind you, this was a generic treatment. No hot stones, no deep massage, no paraffin wax, etc... This is why I say a mixed review. If you believe it's worth $90.00 knock yourself out but I for one think that is extremely over priced. read more

I went into Hot Spot to have a full set put on. I must say that I was very impressed. The salon was very clean and it had a nice atmosphere. In the past when I have had a full set put on they glued plastic tips to my nails and added the acrylic. Not here. The nail tech used a template and shaped each nail by hand and they look great. I am a bit of a germaphobe so I am neurotic about salons that reuse anything. Every file she used was brand new right out of the package and every tool was soaking in that blue disinfectant solution. I was really disappointed. I read the reviews online before going in and i was so upset when I left. I had Crystal do my nails and although she was very sweet her and the other lady working were so unprofessional. they were eating pizza when we walked in and didn't stop eating to help us. I showed her a picture of what i wanted and they turned out nothing like i wanted them too. She was not gentle at all. i had cuts from the nail file all over my fingers when i left. she didn't file the acrylic down and even it out at all. She used a clear acrylic when i wanted a light pink/nude acrylic and she didn't give me the shape or length i asked for. My friend got a pedicure with me when i got my acrylics done with crystal and her experience was also bad. The lady "tammy" i believe was her name, used a face wash on her feet and the top coat she used had color already on it which left red streaks on her fresh white pedicure. Tammy also overcharged her so much. She had to pay $57 for the pedicure. And it was just a normal polish pedicure. They kept talking about how the fumes made them feel high and loopy. read more

Ok - so I'm visiting in Prescott and saw the awesome reviews of this place and figured I would give it a try. Omg - this is THE place to go for a pedi. Amazing. And everyone is so so friendly. Tammy did my pedi and she is so incredible. The massage was like no other. Totally worth the price. It was $45 and that includes a callous remover, sugar scrub, the works.. I had a manicure and Shellac applied to my nails for Christmas. MJ was my nail technician and she was phenomenal. She added glitter and Santa belt buckles to my ring fingers - very fun for the holidays. MJ is a professional and does an amazing job. She is also a certified CND master which means she has achieved great expertise in applying Shellac. Going into my second week of wear and my nails still look perfect. Other salons apply Shellac but they don't necessarily have certification or training. Hot Spot is conveniently located at the Firehouse - I will make this my regular nail salon. read more

I visit the Prescott area once or twice a year from NY and am thrilled to have found such a great place to have my acrylic nails done. I went to Hot Spot Nail to get a full set of acrylic nails about a week ago. When I walked in the place was clean and looked really nice. After that it all went bad. It was like being in a sorority house. They had all been out drinking the night before and nursing major hangovers. They were serving wine to customer and talked about what kind of trouble they had gotten into the night before, and how drunk they were. The nail tech using the forms got all of them on wrong to were it filed the inside of nail with acrylic. 4 out of the 10 are so cricked it's crazy. Also after about 5 days of having the nail on they started to lift off the nail. I was so embarrassed of my nails I went to another salon and the lady there told me to never go back and that she couldn't even fix them we had to take them off and start over. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
