I had a pedicure here. While I was having a pedicure done, I observed an employee clean, if you want to call it that, the pedicure tub next to me. They spritzed a little sanitizer in the tub and then immediately rinsed it off. The proper procedure is, after cleaning with soap, rinsing with water, all surfaces should be wet with sanitizer and left for 10 minutes. I don't know what is so difficult about doing this correctly. Absolutely horrible. I went there with a friend intending to get the $15 regular manicure. I ask the girl who spoke hardly any English and she told me "No. Won't last. You get gel." I told her I didn't want to spend the $30 for gel and she refused to give me a regular manicure. She handed the sheet of gel colors and told me to pick. I liked a light pink and asked her if it was going to come out too clear, and she told me no so we picked it. After 2 coats it was still very clear so she goes, grabs a hot pink (completely not my style) and says "We do this", at this point after dealing with her and her constantly blabbering at me in Chinese I said yes just to get this whole awful experience over with. The day after, I got a huge chip and in the following 2 days I had 3 more big chips, the polish is almost peeling up on the edges. I recommend that everyone stay far away from this place! read more

I had my nails done here a week ago and the top coat started peeling, I went back into the shop and all they asked for was my receipt and I said I have a bank statement. Three different people had no clue what to do. My nails looked awful and they just needed to know who I went to I didn't remember it was my first time there. Needless to say after 10 of NO help I asked them nail polish remover doesn't remove this what do I do. And again NOONE could answer my questions. If I could give no stars I would. Every bad review on here is absolutely true. My daughter and I went to have a mani/pedi before the birth of her first child. Having this kind of day is a treat for us. First, after we were seated in the pedi chair and had our feet in the water did they inform us of the fact that to have calluses treated was 5 extra dollars. What kind of place charges extra to have that done as part of a pedicure. The girl that did my daughters nails didn't even cut her toe nails and did her fingernails in the pedi chair in less that 5 minutes. The polish was put on so thick that it was chipping even before she left the salon. It would be different if this was a 20.00 day out but to spend over 150.00 for 40 minutes and to have such shotty work is unbelievable. Should we have complained while there, probably but the fact that their English is really bad it would have been adding frustration on top of frustration. Lesson Learned, NEVER EVER go to Nail Pro at Polaris. read more

This place SUCKED. I got acrylic full set with a feather design and my toes painted with nothin special done to them. It cost me $110 when all said and done. Never going there again. It was a waste of money and time. The ppl were nice but it wasn't worth the money. Never paid over a $100 back home for my eye brows lip to be wax along with my finger nails and toe nails. read more

My cousin and I spontaneously decided to get manicures and pedicures at Nail Pro inside the mall At Polaris Fashion Place. I am just going to get straight to the point...THIS NAIL SALON IS GROSS! To the point that I almost feel inclined to contact Ohio State Board of Cosmetology regarding Nail Pro! Having been a professional in cosmetology myself, I had quickly noticed how implements and tools WERE NOT SANATIZED! The basins for the pedicure tubs were not cleaned properly before the next client. Unlike my cousin, I wisely chose not to get a pedicure. I was directed to sit a nail technician station and was greeted by a lady I could not understand her what so ever, however I preceded to tell her that I just want a basic manicure which is $18... My manicure lasted 15-20 minutes and was directed to pay. She stated that I owed $43! I was so confused on how that could be? Little did I know the lady pushed me to get GEL POLISH ($30) without showing me or telling me the price! They are clearly very over priced! Also, the prices make no sense as it would have only cost me $2 more to get both a Mani-Pedi. Aside from the uncleanliness and cost, I noticed that one particular lady would tell several walk-in's that the wait was 5-10 minutes? That made absolutely no sense! Only four women were working at the moment who already had other clients waiting in pedicure chairs. This is when I pieced together why they push clients to use GEL POLISH and get them in and out, for a very steep price. My main advice is completely avoid this nail salon! You don't get the quality for the prices you pay. read more

Horrendous experience. Told there would be a 10 minute wait. 50 minutes later I was still waiting. Nail color choices were poor and the polishes they did have were old and separating. Wanted $50 for a basic pedicure w 2 acrylics. I ended up leaving without getting anything done. You're better off to go upstairs in the mall and go to S and P nails. read more

My friend and I decided to come here because her boyfriend was coming to the states to visit from Ireland. We were really excited to get all done up and this salon was close by so we gave it a try. After this experience neither of us would ever recommend this salon or go back. We each got a pedicure and I got a full set of acrylic nails and she got a regular mani. I have never felt so rushed in a salon in my life. While we were picking out a color for our polish the man who was my nail technician came over several times to see if we were done and literally took the polish out of my hand trying to make the decision for me. I had to tell him that I needed more time twice. Once we got to the pedicure bowl he flew through my massage and scrub and while my feet were soaking glued the tips of my acrylic nails on. I was appalled! I have NEVER had my hands and feet done at the same time, like can i enjoy the pedicure? geez! The whole time he was doing my pedi/ tip glue on he was looking around as if there were other things he could be doing that was more important than helping his current customer. Once my pedi was "finished" he took me to a table where he put the gel on for the acrylic on my nails, the job was quick and sloppy. Not even a week later I had air bubbles under my nails and the next day my friends manicure was chipped completely off on one finger. Not to mention the entire time my friend was getting her mani/pedi her nail tech was trying to convince her to get gel nails instead. While I appreciate the up selling I think 1 decline is enough. Do not ever go here for anything!!!! After going in for the $42.00 manicure and pedicure I ended up with a $81.00 bill. They kept asking me if I wanted different things which I had no idea that they cost more. I have been getting the gel polish for years and these services always come with my package at other salons. The polish lasted a couple of days before chipping and the polish looked like it was smeared right after I got home and noticed. It is the very worst mani and pedi I have ever received. I was shopping around Polaris Mall and recently got engaged, so I decided to stop in to get my nails done to show off my new ring. I read some bad reviews, but making this decision last minute, I gave it a shot anyway. I am NOT happy at all with the final product. First, I had to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to get to me after being told only a 5-10 minute wait. Second, I was under the impression that my gel polish was going to be $30 and when I got to the register I was charged $43. The lady that helped me was very nice, however she did a terrible job. I had regular blue nail polish on when I arrived and the lady did not even get all of the blue off around the edges before proceeding to paint my nails with the gel. She was very rough with the electric nail file and let it slip off of my nail onto my finger multiple times and she was also pulling my fingers pretty hard. The final color was really good, but there is a large gap from where my nail cuticle is to the start of the polish (looks like a week grown out manicure) and the blue is still showing in the gaps and around the edges. If there were a 0 rating, that is what this nail salon will get. I usually get mine at another place in Easton but this time, I tried them. I should have read all the reviews here first before going. I went for a manicure today and I left there with full of regret and disappointment. Firstly, The lady who did my nails just wasn't as thorough. I had to point to her some she missed while cleaning. I should have considered that as a sign and just cancelled the gel and just paid $15 for the cleaning but I didn't listen to my gut. The next thing that happened was that the first gel I chose was sticky and dry. So, they asked me to choose another one. I was already looking at the time and it's been 40mins. I finally chose one and when she put it on me, it had bubbles and you can see the streaks or brush strokes, which is a sloppy kind of work for a supposedly professional. I told her about it but apparently she doesn't understand English very well. So, the lady beside her ( you'll notice her right away as she's sitting across the entrance and wears clothes that are way low you can see half of her breasts hanging) told me that my tech doesn't understand me very well. So, I told her that the gel has a lot of bubbles and streaks. I looked at the time and because I also had an appointment, I told her that I'll just pay for the cleaning and my nail tech should just take off the rest of the gel rather than having to fix them, as that would take much longer. Remember, I've been here for almost an hour already. Even after I've explained this, she insisted that my nail tech will make it right and that I should just wait. I was so pissed because I told her I had an appointment and that this would take much longer than her just taking out the gel and letting me leave. My nail tech just continued to do my nails and in the process having to take off only two out of the 8 that needed to be fixed. While she was taking some of them off, she even had to use an electric gadget to take it off and it hurt me like hell because she was pressing down on my nails. Finally, I didn't want to have to stay longer anymore, I stood up and told them I'll fix it myself. The lady blurted out "well, ok make sure you check out". How rude and unprofessional! She wanted to make sure I pay for the lousy job. So, I just paid and left. She even said she wanted to see my nails and when I showed her she insisted that nothing was wrong with them. This place should close down already! I just wasted $43. Now I have 5 coats of gel on me with streaks and bubbles. I can't take a photo anymore as I already took them off. If I only read the complaints here I wouldn't have gone there. So, if you still decide to go there, you've been warned! read more

I'm highly upset with the quality of work done here. I had come here to get a full set of acrylics. My nails look as if they have been on for two weeks, the method that is used to apply the acrylics is different, I have never seen it before and I have been to my share of nail salons. My acrylics have scratches in them from being buffed and then a top coat added for shine- I was not put under the light that is usually used after acrylics are applied. The scratches are visible and when you touch my nails you can feel it as well. I can not even paint over these because the scratches would just be SO noticeable. I asked for my nails to be relitvely short but not as short as they are, i can't even describe how short they are. They look so unnatural! There is a small gap between my own nail and the gel and they were done less than 15 hours ago so they have not grown. Also, I came here with my mother and she and I both got acrylics, same thing happened with her, rough unnatractive nails. My mothers full set of acrylics was $50 where as mine was $35- again, we got the exact same thing done, dramatic price difference. Also, while I was waiting for my mom (which her nails took about an hour while mine took less than twenty five minutes.) people kept being told there was only a ten minute wait but were waiting for about a half an hour. I felt very rushed an crammed together in this salon and when I spend money to relax, I want to be able to relax. Looks like I am still in search of a nail salon. This is a terrible place to go if you are looking for a relaxing experience in getting your nails done. I went this past Friday with my friend for pedicures. We were rushed to pick out a polish color, rushed into the chairs, and it was the fastest, most unrelaxing pedicure ever. I would've done a better job doing my own toes. The "nail tech" hurried through everything, did not shape nails correctly or evenly, forgot to do a base coat, the polish is not smooth, and the second she was done painting the last toe, she wants you out of her chair and up to the front to pay. No time to dry...the next person is practically in your chair the second you get out of it. The "receptionist" seems confused as to what's happening and for some reason was holding a baby almost the whole time I was there. What a waste of money. Not relaxing, and I had to go home to fix her mistakes. If I could of left no tip (without feeling like a jerk), I would have. If you're in the market for a quick 15 minute pedicure, don't care how long it lasts, and are ok with it only looking good from 5 feet away, this is place for you to spend $30. If not, steer clear of this place. I will never be going back unless all the other nail places in Columbus suddenly go out of business...and even at that, I'd still probably opt for doing my own in my living room. read more

If I could give this salon a 0 I would. I usually go to S&P upstairs from Nail Pro but wanted to save a few extra bucks for a concert I was going to later that evening. I saw on their sign outside that a full set of acrylics were $30 so I was set on getting my nails done there since S&P charges $40 for a full set. I sat down and the nail tech didn't greet me at all and just began filing my nails. She asked me how long i wanted them and I had said a little longer since it was for an event and I just wanted to switch it up a bit. She then pointed at different lengths randomly on my acrylic nail and how much that length would cost which I think is so weird because usually any length is the same price, unless you do a stiletto nail since it takes more time and a lot more patience and talent to do. I settled on what she called "short nails". She then asked what color I wanted and when I told her white she said it would cost $10 more to have my nails painted. She said that she didn't have a regular white polish, only a solar white polish and I told her I absolutely didn't want solar. After I finished washing my hands, I looked at the small selection of nail polish on the wall and she yelled from across the room that she "found" a white polish. She obviously lied to me trying to make me pay more. At this point I was absolutely furious with the service and was put into a horrible mood. My total came out to $46 dollars which is more than I would end up paying at S&P, but with much much worse service. She then wrote on the hand-written receipt "TIP" and had it underlined. I honestly did not want to tip her at all, but she pressured me into it because she kept pointing to it and was staring at me while I wrote "$2.00". Not to mention, she did this while my nails were wet. Thank goodness my boyfriend was with me because my nails were too wet to get my card out on my own. My overall experience was horrible. I do not recommend anyone go here. They scammed me into their service and lied to me all throughout my visit. I could hardly understand my tech and I definitely think she took that to her advantage. She was very aggressive with the way she did my nails. They came out crooked with uneven edges and different lengths all together.
