This is the place inside Polaris mall. I came here a long time ago and had a bad experience, so I decided to give them another try. It started out normal but this silly guy not only rushed through the service but had the audacity to say "eww" to my feet. I wanted to get up and walk off immediately but do pay for my services. I have been going to Nail Pro since it opened at Polaris Mall many years ago. Judy and her staff do an excellent job. They use quality products and stand behind their work. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I hate when I am Out of town and have to get my nails done at another salon. I never have chipping with Nail Pro products. Nails Pro is a salon located in Polaris mall. It's very convenient and they rarely have a wait. I find them to be very accommodating and friendly and typically do a great job. The one time I left with my nails not dry all the way and they put my socks on too fast and my nails were smudged they were quick to fix them even if it was inconvenient. The only thing I would comment on is the price which I suppose is for the convenience. There is a salon close to where I live in Dublin but there is often a wait that you can get a gel pedicure for a about $20 less and the quality is a little better. Ambiance is nice though and they always offer water. read more

Today my experience with Nail Pro was extremely disappointing. I had dipped gel manicure and a pedicure. I picked the color for my fingernails. While dipping the nails it is difficult to tell the exact shade of the nails. When it was completed, it was clear that it was an entirely different (horrible) color. I thought perhaps I had made the mistake in selecting the color. When I compared the color of the sample nails to the dipping powder jar, it was clear that the jar had been mislabeled. I pointed this out to the Assistant Manager and asked if I could come back (it was almost closing) for a change in color. She said either I would have to pay for it or the manicurist would have to pay for it. It was not the manicurist's fault that the jar was mislabeled. Finally, she said I could have it done for half price. I was floored. They put the wrong color on, I paid for it (with tip), but I would have to pay again to have the correct color. I find it hard to believe that this would be the policy at any reputable salon. It makes me leery of ever using this establishment again. read more

RED ALERT!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!! This nail salon is the equivalent of the Mckamey Manor. I went there with my friend for my birthday and I was SHOCKED. They nearly sanded off my skin.... I asked for gel overlays but they gave me 2 inch thick acrylics. My friend wanted regular gel nail polish which she got!!! BUT, BUT, the lady did not do it correctly. She can still see her nails under the polish. Both of our nail techs did not speak at all during the appointments, except when she asked if I wanted gel overlays and I said yes. Then proceeded to give me acrylics. My friend's nail tech kept dragging her hand around without care and was not very gentle, at all, when working on my cuticles. Her nails look splotchy and unfinished. Overall, I wish I could have given ZERO stars. Def not coming back.:( read more

It has been less than 24hours and two of my dip nails have already chipped. Additionally, the manicure is bumpy and uneven, and I was cut multiple times with the buffer. That's unacceptable for a $60 manicure. UPDATE #4 after repairing my nails as they all continued to chip I decided to just take them all off. I used acetone with a cotton ball as normal. There are literally marks where however they applied the dip wrong burnt through my nails and a the ends of all of my nails broke off. Unbelievable damage that I have never had before with dip. (Pictured) UPDATE #3 on day two and even more chipping has occurred. I'm going to ask the salon for a refund tomorrow in person since nobody has responded here. Update #2: I went back to the salon and they offered to fix the nails that were already chipped. I explained that wasn't helpful because the rest of the nails would just start chipping too. They didn't offer any refund or to redo the manicure. A manicurist that was much much better than the first redid the two nails that chipped the first day. Within the next couple of days, the rest of the nails began to chip just like I thought. Useless overpriced manicure and bad customer service. read more

Reasons not to go to Nail Pro at Polaris. I went in for a pedicure and nail balance. The man who did my pedicure used the metal file and scraped my heel AND ankle and I bled pretty bad. That was the end of that. He was more worried about what was on the t.v and who was coming in the door. Not paying attention to his work at all. The lady who did my nails, made my cuticles bleed and 3 nails popped off a few days later. She was also more worried about who was coming in the door and couldn't care less about her work. Your hands and feet ARE NOT supposed to hurt when you leave the salon. I had to wear open heel shoes for about a week after that. The services they offer are not cheap either. read more

I should have listened to the reviews. This place is overpriced. They quoted me 3 different prices. Mani and pedi price was 65, told an additional 20 for gel polish. Ok no big deal. This is my fault that I didn't ask for prices, however, the most expensive (mani AND pedi) that was posted on their wall was $60, so I thought that would be the most. WRONG. They charged me $70 for my nails and $75 for my daughter (hers were a little longer). That is just for the nails. I was in town for a wedding and needed to pick up a couple of things so I thought this location would be the most convenient on a Saturday around noon to get a mani pedi. Well, it was convenient but the tech nearly cut my foot off with the razor leaving me hobbling down the mall hallways with blood dripping onto my sandal. Nearly a week later I'm still in pain wearing bandaids. He barely removed the red polish from my nails before painting the nude color. I ended up asking him for the file & remover so I could do it myself (which he was annoyed by). I wanted a light blue and they didn't have any shade of a light blue. I decided on a tan and the final color doesn't match the swatch. I went to this nail salon with my sister the other day and was very disappointed with the service. Before my service started, he was commenting on the appearance of my nails. He was making fun of the way my sister and I cut our cuticles, and was also commenting about the length of my nails. After attempting to stand up for myself, he continued to make comments. The same things they were commenting on are the same reasons I go to the salon in the first place. It doesn't make sense to me that these workers chose to laugh at me, and then expect a decent tip. Towards the end, I felt that my service was extremely rushed due to the worker wanting to claim the next client. I had to peel the gel off the sides of my own nails. I even commented on how the gel was on my skin, but they did nothing. The same guy who did my nails was being extremely disrespectful to the girl who was after me. I wish I had spoken up for myself more while this was happening instead of letting the workers speak the way they did. I will definitely not be returning. I'll start by saying I have been coming to this nail Salon for well over 5 years. No real issues, until Saturday night. My daughter and I each get our nails done... I have my gel dip removed and just a basic manicure. My daughter has them fill her gel nails and polish. From the get go she wasn't sure they were filling them correctly, and she had one nail that had come off, so they completely repaired it. It was a little crooked, she said something to them but they made her feel awkward about it. 36 hours later my daughter is back at Nail Pro to repair the same nail she asked them about!! On Saturday they said no charge if there is an issue, on Monday they charged her another $5! Mind you, my bill Saturday for both of us was $91.38!!! THAT IS BEFORE TIP!! I call Nail Pro and the lady gave me some run around about the "girl who did your daughters nails not here today, so it cost $5"! Bunch of BS... stand by your work, no matter which tech it was!! I will no longer be a customer here, very bad business. And I will warn others too. My manicure is all chipping and my nails were rough on the edges after a guy filed them....and at the time of my typing this it has been not quite 48 hours. And I had a migraine yesterday and didn't get out of bed, so they are not chipping bc typing or overuse...you get the point. Bottom line, find another nail salon to take your money. Horrible service! Was asked if I liked the French Tips and asked for a simple fix and was told no they were fine for both of my feet of my toe nails! This is after I was embarrassed due to him complaining about how much dead skin was on my feet and told it was "too much" in front of my friend sitting next to me. He proceeded to show me and my friend the foot file while complaining about how much was in there and huffing and having an attitude the whole time Then, I was upgraded without us even talking about and when I asked got the brush off. Without a doubt, this is the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon in my entire life. I took my future mother-in-law to get her first ever pedicure. I was very excited to treat her for her birthday, as she told me it's been 10 years since she's even had her toes painted. She recently lost her partner of 20 years, and I wanted to make the day special. I knew something was wrong when they told my fiancé that he wouldn't be able to sit with us while we have our toes done. Not even talking about soaking his feet - just sitting with us. He typically gets a pedicure with me, but we thought that $100+ wasn't a great spending plan after a big day of shopping. No big deal. He went to the book store. It was when my MIL's technician kept trying to upsell me on services that I got concerned. I get that it's her job, but I grew concerned when she told me that the basic pedicure didn't include hot towels... Or callous removal?! The entire purpose of a pedicure is to remove callouses. For $35 - already $5 higher than most places in Dayton - I was expecting a normal pedicure. Whatever. I wasn't going to deprive her of the pedicure experience. I told the technician that she could have the deluxe pedicure for $45, while I would have the spa pedi. I grew frustrated when she told my technician that I would also be having the deluxe. She was very pushy, and I grew uncomfortable. My technician seemed easily confused and very timid, and at that time, I decided not to move forward with the pedicure. It was then that all hell broke loose. I told my technician to not worry about doing my feet. I wasn't rude about it, and at that point, I wasn't all that upset. I just didn't want to give any money to a place that made me feel like this. Unfortunately, that was the point when both technicians and AT LEAST four other employees came over to hassle me about why I didn't want my pedicure. This wasn't being concerned about my experience. They were repeatedly asking me what was wrong. I told them over and over that everything was fine, but I was just going to skip my pedicure. It was very upsetting. I don't like confrontation, and this was overwhelming. It was when the manager came over to me that I was fully angry. She asked me the same questions everyone else asked, but then told me that it was my technician's first day. She implied that if it was the technician's fault that something happened, she would be disciplined. As if that didn't leave a bad enough taste in my mouth, she told me I would have to pay for putting my feet in the water because it costs them money to clean the chair. I understand this. However, I was repulsed by this place. The chairs were awful. The people were rude and pushy. It was overpriced. I was mortified. I ruined my future mother-in-law's first pedicure. The garbage foot soak ended up costing me $10. It's a lot better than paying for a novice to injure me. I'll obviously never be back. What a scam. read more
