Angel always does my nails, you have to make an appointment with her or Kevin but they they have a great staff and walk ins are welcome. Their prices are fair and the service is high quality. They have about 18 pedicure chairs and 3 kid chairs. They always have enough staff too. And they offer pretty much any and all nail services you can think of. I won't go anywhere else. Took my daughter into Nails Place. The staff was not very pleasant, seemed like we were bothering them. Did not show us how the chairs worked, did not ask if we would like anything to drink, not personable at all. I asked which pedicure package would be best for my really dry heels, they pointed to the middle one, which I agreed to. When I asked a question about how the wax worked the staff replied "honestly I have no idea". Why I appreciated he honesty, I think the staff should be trained. Why point that one out to me if you don't really know how/if it will help? We are here visiting so maybe they are just used to their regulars? When done painting my toes, he told me to go sit under the dryer, I had no idea where that even was... did not tell me how long to sit there... honestly was not worth the money. read more

Overpriced and not worth the money. First of all the place is dirty. Not what you want from a salon. second they tell you the wait is 10-15 minutes and you end up sitting there for much longer than that. The guy who did my pedicure the last time I went was miserable and too rough and was just yanking my feet around where he wanted them to go. It was pretty obvious he did not want to be there which is not the attitude that helps people relax at a spa. He also did my manicure and cut my nails down way too short and didn't clean up the cuticles very well. Then I get the bill and see it's $55 for a pedicure and a regular polish manicure (not gel). Super expensive especially for the quality they provide. I've given this place a few chances and will have to find a new nail place in Yulee. read more

My step daughter and I came here this morning for pedicures. We made an appointment for 10:30 which we then pushed to 10:45 bc the line at Starbucks was so long. We ended up arriving right before 11 which I felt bad about and apologized more than once for as soon as we walked in. We were sat in the chairs around 11:05 and pedicures started around 11:10. We both requested the OPI pedicure- $50 for 45 minutes. This is what we typically get as we come here quite often. We've actually introduced plenty of friends and family to this place as well bc we've loved it for the last 10+ months and come as a family of 4 at least once a month. My step daughters pedicure was the issue. Her water was cold the majority of time even after asking for it to be warmed. The bottom of her feet weren't massaged other than the gentle spreading of lotion for under one minute which is definitely odd. Her pedicure lasted for 30 minutes. Mine was good. Actually went for 5 minutes over. When getting up to pay I asked to speak with management bc I didn't feel satisfied with paying for the OPI pedicure for my daughter when it isn't was she received. The manager was so extremely rude and very aggressive with her tone. She told me she would only take $5 off and argued with me for about 5+ minutes about how great her technicians are and how I'm wrong, I'm lying and she was watching the whole time. She snatched the menu from me and tried to talk over me the whole time. I'm honestly still so angry that I was treated this way as a loyal customer and talked to in a manner that was so unprofessional and out right disrespectful. She said well your pedicure went over time so do you want me to charge you extra??? There are bubbles in my daughters paint and she said okay we will just paint over that right now. I said we don't have time we have to go. She said okay well we aren't fixing it another time. It was insane that she would talk to a customer this way. Then I said okay I'll pay but we won't be able to come back after this. She said okay $50 for both!!! I said absolutely not just the $50 and $45 you just said you would do. I tried to pay with Amex not realizing they didn't take it. She ripped it out of the handheld and said we don't take American Express. So I paid with another card and we left. Still shaken up and sad to end my relationship with them. As much as I love some of the technicians here, we will be finding a new salon- hopefully ran by someone who cares more about the experience of their customers and less about winning an argument. read more

Recently moved to the area and have been getting gel manicures for at least 10 years. I went to this salon last Friday and almost all my nails are already peeling off at the edges and nail bed. My nails are always ok for at least 2-3 weeks. My pedicure is still ok, but my nails were cut way too short, to the point of a few being sore the next few days. I went Friday, early-afternoon and the nail tech was extremely unprofessional, yawning and saying she needed a break. I will NEVER go back to this place. What a waste of money. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I wish there was an option for zero stars. read more

Weeewww this place is really gross. I didn't see them cleaning anything, they reuse nail files, drill heads, and pull random clippers out that haven't been sterilized. I didn't see them using any cleaning chemicals in the pedicure tubs. You can see where they've just pushed trash underneath furniture. Watched them use the same waxing stick multiple times in their waxing pot instead of a new one each time. They also use the "cheese grater" callus remover, which I'm pretty sure is illegal in that state. It's shocking they're as busy as they are with how nasty it is. But it is Florida, so I guess I'm not that surprised considering the residents that live there. Anyway, if you want to get an infection, this place is for you! read more

I have been coming to Nails Place over the past year, and I never used to have problems. The last two times I came here I had issues and it's getting frustrating. When I go I spend a good amount of money and I tip well. The first time I had an issue, I had the young male tech who was clearly not very experienced. His polish job with design was pretty decent. But the whole pedicure was awful. I literally left with skin pealing from my feet. I have never left a pedicure in my life with skin hanging from my feet. Also, the whole time I was there the foot bath was messed up. They use bags for sanitary reasons in their basins, and he didn't set it up right so the water was behind the bag lining the whole time and bubbling up which I kept having to put down myself. The design was good so I paid and tipped well and left without a gripe. This time. I called specifically and made an appointment requesting I have a female tech (figuring this would solve my issues). I came in with a chrome red design I wanted done. Nothing crazy. Red with chrome and one black nail. I showed her the design before we started anything. She showed a couple people and said they could do it. At this point, if she could not do it, I would have changed my design. I came with several designs saved on my phone in case this happened - it would not have been a big deal. Mind you I get Gel whenever I go, which anyone who knows nails knows it takes a lot of layers that are baked UV onto the nails and to pull it off is a total pain. It wasn't until after the base color was baked on was I told they couldn't do what I wanted with the chrome. The only reason I chose these colors was to do the chrome so it wouldn't look ridiculous. She tried one of the chrome colors that was not what I wanted, which I said, it was fine. After she put it on and removed it like 5-7 times and after finding NONE of the nails looked the same. I told her to remove the chrome and I would just keep the plain color because I wasn't going to pay for something that 1. Was not what I wanted when I went out of my way at the beginning to make sure they could do and 2. That would look like garbage and not cohesive. She clearly did not know how to do this technique because she was asking everyone in the salon how to do it. After almost 2 hours of being there I went to leave (and they made me pay full price for the whole service). The owner did try to come up to me and offer to try something else on my nails or offered to redo them. But after being there for almost 2 hours (with this being my second bad experience in a row) I told her I couldn't stay there any longer and left. She told me to call if I wanted it changed. At this point, I will do them myself at home. I go out to get my nails done to treat myself (as it is $60+ with tip every time I go) and don't expect to have to REDO them myself. I have spent a LOT of money here and have sent probably 20-30 people here to get stuff done. I am so frustrated with the quality of everything that happened here and I do not plan on ever coming back. Hopefully I'll be able to find a competent, consistent nail salon near me to go to in the future. read more

Very nice place inside. I love that they have fun chairs for little girls' pedicures. I got the SNS dip on my nails. I believe the guy who did them was named Kevin. He was fantastic! Great place. They get busy but the service is always a excellent. The OPI pedicure is what I usually get and it's consistently excellent.

I have had some pretty good results from this place however, when the owners did my nails there was acrylic all on my cuticles and skin, multiple nails were not straight and very thin, and she was veryyy rushed when trying to do my nails but there were not many customers in the salon. The male owner was a little better when doing my nails and the female owner also told me that my color was "not a pretty color for a young lady" and then asked me why I kept looking at my nails... they were all jacked up, that's why. read more

I wasn't sure what I wanted and they did everything they could to help me decide, while getting a Pedi I finally found a design I wanted, they never did a crush turtle but they said they would try, well it took two times but it still didn't come out right. They were patient with me, however while the guy was doing my toes he clipped me a few times, it hurt really bad and now my big toe is really sore. That is the only reason why I gave them 3 stars. Being new to the area, I've been looking for a place to get my eyebrows waxed. First time was done perfect by a girl who I can't remember her name. Today was my 2nd time in, and a different girl( can't remember her name either) did an OK job. Not the worst I've ever had and not the best. It was made up for it when I was placed with Shevelle who did my mani & pedi. I don't normally get my nails done( I do them myself), but I like to treat myself every once in a while. I'm pretty particular about my nails so trust me when I say Shevelle was probably one of the best nail techs I've ever had. She was very pleasant and made lots of conversation with me so it wasn't one of those awkward no talking sessions. On top of that she was very gentle and cleaned my cuticles very well. I have pretty bad cuticles so it pains me when a nail tech can not properly clean my nails up. She also took extreme care in painting my ENTIRE nail. I can't even count how many times I've had people not paint to the edge which is pretty annoying, and part of the reason I don't get regular mani-pedis. I'll likely return to have my eyebrows done by the first girl who did them and definitely have Shevelle do my nails again. I read previous reviews about rude employees, but I have not had that experience. I also noticed a lot of women getting gel on their toes. I guess that's a big thing here in Florida? Anyway, I just like regular ol' nail polish on my toes and fingers. I've been to nail salons where they try and push the gel manicures on you for the up sell and pretty much make you feel bad for just wanting nail polish. I was only asked once if I wanted gel and that was that. When I want gel, I want gel, and that's MAYBE once a year for special occasions. I was in town for a wedding and our bride reserved an appointment for all her bridesmaids to have their nails done at Nails Place. When the appointment needed to be pushed back due to some scheduling complications which arose last minute (its a wedding!) they were very kind and accommodating. We did not have to wait long before getting started. Some of the girls got acrylics, some just got gel color. We all got manicures and pedicures. A little bit of a wait had built up after we arrived, but even those people waiting in line did not have to wait more than 5-10 mins, and this was a Saturday morning-noon. The atmosphere was very casual but everything was very sanitary and clean. Great care was taken to ensure that all the tools and stations were very clean. All pertinent license information was posted. They had a laminated list of types of pedicures, ranging from very basic to a more extensive treatment. All with prices listed. The tech (I wish I remembered her name... she was young, caucasian, and very talkative) was happy to work with me and my preferences. I had a gel manicure, no acrylics/tips/etc. She shaped my nails and painted them. They looked great and my gel has no chips at all. My cuticles look great. My nails have not broken. They had a lot of colors and designs to choose from. Everyone was able to find something they liked. The bride's nails were gorgeous, she was very happy. I did not hear any complaints from anyone in the wedding party. I was able to pay and tip with a credit card. I don't remember exactly how much I paid, but I think it was less than $60 for both the manicure and pedicure, including the tip. If I'm ever in town again, I will definitely go back. read more

Nails Place is in very convenient in the building adjacent to Target. I popped in on a Saturday afternoon after spending my morning riding in the Katie Ride on Amelia Island. I had decided to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure after many miles on my bicycle. I didn't have an appointment, but only had to wait a couple minutes before I was shown to a very comfortable massaging pedicure chair waiting with perfectly warm water. The deluxe pedicure included a wonderful leg/foot scrub and deep moisturizing leg/foot scrub along with the typical nail shaping, cuticle trimming, and polish refresh. It was divine! Just after my pedicure, I was taken to a manicure station where I received a quick (yet perfect) gel manicure from Angel. The lady is very efficient with some nail polish. We chatted about her daughters and how long she'd been in business in Yulee - general chit chat. It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely return any time I am in town. read more
