The lady doing my nails kept nicking me over and over, I understand it a couple of times but it was every single time she picked up the nail drill. I made it known multiple times that she was hurting me and nothing changed. The vibe she had towards me was off despite me being kind, and she was just tossing my hands around trying to be fast with her service. My nails are uneven, they're cut up from the drill and the nail buffer, and I just didn't have a good experience overall. I'm not sure if I'll give this place a second chance, I've never been here before but they just opened so I wanted to give it a shot. read more

The Tec did not speak only pointed and did not know how to finish a man no polish just buff. The money Luxy spent on remodle should have been spent on staff, training & attitude. I have been coming here for a few months and needless to say I will never be returning. I had gotten a gel pedicure and a gel color french tip manicure yesterday. Today the gel polish on my pointer finger started flaking off. I called and asked to have my nails fixed and for free of charge. I had gone and I had made it known that only one layer of gel between for both the base color and colored french tip and everything. The gentleman that helped me whom I believe is one of the owners took care of me and did shotty work to say the least and I could tell he was rushing to get me out of there due to his demeanor and being so cold shouldered towards me. The gentleman who did my nails yesterday after explaining how I want things corrected appropriately due to my job requirements of being on a computer all day and he had very rudely said to me: "Well everyone uses a computer." The gentleman who "fixed" my nails yet again did only one coat of the base color and then very lazily did a double layer of my colored french tip. I am very unhappy with the way I was spoken to and treated. With that said, I will not be returning to this establishment and will go back to my previous salon where I was a respected customer. read more

I left the salon extremely upset. John did my nails twice before and both times made some inappropriate comments that made me cringe. I don't know what I was thinking to go back and give it another try. I just went for pedicure and dip, nothing more. I had two different techs new today. The color polish I picked didn't come close to matching the sample. His answer, the samples are old and faded. They weren't happy that I asked for another color. A Dip is $43 and she charged me $53. When I asked why, she said I had long nails and she shaped them. She barely touched the length, I keep my nails the same shape, so not sure why she thinks she shaped them. Never once did she say, $5 more for long nails, $5 more to shape them. Be sure to ask for the actual cost before your service. Awful !!! I won't be returning. read more

He is a very arrogant person and instead of talking directly to your face with his smart ass comments he says them while walking away in English and then abruptly loud in his language. Yesterday a nail tech accidentally broke my $300 Costa sun glasses and they refused to pay the $75 to replace the lenses. How did she break them, you ask? I had placed them on the table that rests on the side of the pedi chair. She flipped the table up and the glasses flew off, hit the wall, and out popped the lenses and bent the frames. The manager was condescending and brash and refused to pay. They didn't offer to comp the pedicure either. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

I never get my nails done, but when I do I usually go to a different salon. I went here with a friend because she wanted to go for her birthday, and she told me she liked this place. We booked for two full sets, even though I didn't necessarily want a full set. I just wanted a really time consuming nail design, so I did this not to affect their time expectations in the event they had other appointments around mine. The lady was struggling with the design from the very beginning, and asking her coworkers about how to approach the design. She was obviously stressed about it. She continued to give me a full set of dip powder nails despite me telling her I wanted them short and on my natural nail like the reference photos I had. She assured me the design would be better if I did the full set, and I was trying to be open minded and agreed. Mainly to be nice in the situation that it might make it easier for her to do my design. Despite this, it did not, and she even struggled with doing the dip nails for a bit. The design I wanted had raised textures, with chrome finish. My nail tech continued to try and get away with flat nails using glitter. I told her I wanted chrome like the reference. She fixed one nail and left the rest of my hands with the glitter.. I didn't say anything as I was trying not to be rude. But then she tries to put rhinestones on my nails where there is no rhinestone in the picture, and instead of admitting that she wasn't skilled enough to do the design I wanted, she proceeds to try and gaslight me and say there are rhinestones in my reference picture. At this point my friend has been done with her full set for half an hour and was sitting next to me. I was fed up at this point and told her no, there's no way I'm leaving with rhinestones on my nails. She wanted to proceed to play stupid and act like I was the crazy one who was blind. I wish I took a pic of what she was trying to send me home with before I told her to file the entire design off all of my nails. I tried to stay calm and be reasonable and asked for the most simple design after. I asked for flat, silver chrome nails. She proceeds to try and put pearl on my nails with a clear coat as base, where my reference pics obviously had a black base. And then when she didn't have the silver chrome, I went with a gunmetal grey color. Tell me why I had to leave the salon with copper glitter nails? She didn't even have any of the three colors I told her would be fine, and instead of admitting that she sends me off with copper. I told her it was fine because at this point we had been at the salon for almost 3 1/2 hours, my friends nails were done in 45 mins and we were both starving. My nail tech didn't even bother to clean trim my cuticles properly or clean off the rough residue of the dip powder underneath my nails. On top of that, when I was washing my hands another lady getting a pedicure was on the verge of tears trying to leave the salon (and still pay) because another worker was stabbing her in her cuticles with the tools after she clearly stated for the nail tech to stop. Idk what happened with her but it pretty much matched the same vibe of my experience I had. I tipped her 100% of the cost of my nails for her extra time and will never be going back to this nail salon again. I gave this post 2 stars because my friend loved her nails, but she always goes to the same tech, and she told me she has only had bad experiences with the tech they gave me. I'll most likely be getting these nails soaked off later this week. read more

I have been here many times. The interior is clean, mask wearers for employees still. I have had excellent and horrible service. This place needs some standards. We be could say we have bigger things to worry about and yes we do. However if those who come here have money to spend, we keep people employed. I'm a big tipper for most services unless bad. Today I paid for a higher end pedicure. It was painful. She could not understand me. I kept trying. The elevated process was like a plain old process. Pedicure was bad. I have to say I did not expect this nail spa to be as nice as it was. I have visited the several other Nail Spas in Yulee but had hesitated with this salon since it was in a strip mall and the low Yelp reviews. Boy was I surprised - the spa was immaculate. I was a walk-in and used the self check-in iPad. At the same time someone came up to me and asked me to follow her to a chair. No wait! I did go mid-week, mid-day which may have been why. The manicurist asked a few questions and was otherwise quiet which I like since I normally take a book to read. The only reason I took a star off was because they only used one coat of color instead of two. Since I prefer regular nail polish and not gels, two coats of polish just look better. Next time I will just ask for two coats. Although this nail spa is on the smaller side, I will certainly be visiting in the future. read more

As a customer for 6 months, trying to give this place a fair chance, I am finally able to say this is the absolute worst nail salon I have ever attended. My last visit was the last straw. I had an appointment and waited an hour. I also was not able to get the services requested because of over booking. The lead nail technician rushed through my nails and only added 1 coating of polished. The very next day my nails began to break off. After a week and a half, I ended up having to clip them because of the breakage. This has caused me to have to start completely over with my nails. I have not had this issue before and it has been a terrible experience and I will not be returning. I also noticed that they are not welcoming when you enter the business whether you you have an appointment or you are a walk-in. I will take my business elsewhere going forward. read more

I was out of town and desperate to fix my nails, and the Omni charges almost a hundred bucks for a mani, so I stopped by here to have my chipped gel removed and get a basic manicure. Their sign outside states that manis are 12.99. Cool, that's what my usual salon charges for a basic. However, that apparently doesn't include removing old polish, since I was charged $18. I'm not complaining about the price-it's perfectly reasonable-but it felt a little shady to promote one price and then be charged another. I noticed a few people protesting prices when they went to pay, so this might be a regular occurrence there. The nail technician I had was really rough with my nails. The file was too coarse and it was not a pleasant experience. She nicked me a few times with the cuticle trimmer. I asked for clear polish, and I am very glad that I did, because less than six hours later, the polish began to literally peel off (see pics). The polish is either old or whatever is in the OPI bottles is another brand. I have never had this happen before, and I get manicures on a regular basis. I would not recommend going here. I was a little leery with the other reviews but gave them the benefit of the doubt. After I watched a new person sit down to get a pedicure in the same chair as someone who left, and they never cleaned the bowl between them, I realized that I should have listened. I did not get a pedicure after seeing that. I would suggest going elsewhere. If you're super desperate and there for holiday, just bite the bullet for your hotel or resort's spa. At least your polish won't peel and you can be comfortable that they keep up with their sanitation. read more

This joint is across the street from my place and I went in for a full set and a polish change on my toes. The nail techs are very rude and and literally yell to one another in the salon--in Vietnamese! The place is not clean and they do not even place paper towel between clients! Very unsanitary and rather scary! I do not want to get a fungus. I went with my fiancé and I suggested he puts clear gel polish to stop from biting his nails. The nail tech asked 3 other people about it and the last one actually made fun of him! Really? How rude, tacky and dirty can a place be??? Definitely will not frequent this place ever again! I wonder if they are all even licensed ? Why would the lady who worked on my fiancé didn't seem to know what she was really doing to have to ask three other times about gel polish! Beware! This was a horrible experience for myself and a girlfriend. We only went here because my gf had a GC. I have pedicures to take care of what I cannot reach anymore. The woman who did my pedi filed my small TOES (literally) ... and never touched my big toes at all just polished them. I had to go somewhere else the following week so it was a total waste of money. My girlfriend was extremely rudely rushed to pick a color, and then treated condescendingly by a male nail tech. This was exactly the reason I stopped going here 5 years ago.
