After speaking with Billie Jo I was more than confident that I wanted her to handle this for me. Considering a blade is involved you better trust the person that is working on your skin. When I arrived at the salon Billie Jo was very welcoming and walked me back to the room to fill out a few forms. After the paperwork, I got under the comfy blanket and Billie Jo started working her magic. I was thinking that I am a good exfoliator so the whole part about getting alot of dead skin off of my face would not happen but I was wrong. Billie Jo removed quite a bit of dead skin and all of the peach fuzz. There was an addition enzyme treatment which was also very nice and smelled wonderful. They said that they would be happy to do my nails while I sat in the chair for the pedicure. Tom did a great job on the nails and all while he was standing up! Lan was very creative with my toes. There was powder on my fingernails so we couldn't do the same thing on my toes, but she incorporated some of the color and made a great choice! That alone should be enough for anyone to reconsider stepping through the door. The service quality was equally poor. The technician rushed through the appointment, ignored basic requests, and offered no attention to detail. The manicure and pedicure were sloppy, uneven, and far below professional standards. When I raised concerns, the response was dismissive, almost irritated that I expected better. What makes this even more infuriating is the pricing. Ocean Nails charges premium rates, but delivers bargain-basement quality. For these incredibly high prices, customers deserve sterilized tools, safe facilities, and skilled, respectful service.
