I have been coming to this spa for many years and she is truly one of the best! She has dedicated spa rooms in her home that are just like at any other spa. She has great technique and is one of the kindest people I know. Great quality at a very reasonable price. I think it's worth addressing some of the other reviews issues. She is a one person business. There is no receptionist, and she is normally booked backed to back which does mean you will have to wait for a response on scheduling and availability may be days out. It's not even in business. I called Sunday and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, June 3rd at 9am. The unit has a for lease sign up. No one is there. Non existent. I called and left a voicemail and texted. They have no record of my call or appointment. read more

I purchased a local flavor gift certificate for a 30 minute massage. I Contacted them and they replied with a text message. I mentioned my local flavor gift card and when I reached a live person she said it is for a chair massage. I asked her that it did not mention that I am paying for a chair massage and I asked her to please let me know where that is notated on the voucher. She ignored it and scheduled the appointment. I left early and made sure to get cash for the massage tip. The lady there was trying to have me sit on a chair. I said no thanks .. that is not what I paid for! So I paid for absolutely nothing and had to rebook my massage at massage theory which is by far much cleaner and professional than this place! I went for electrolysis (which is supposed to be permanent hair removal) for 4 months, my hair is all still growing back!! I picked this place by Facebook recommendations, price was really good, and so close to home. This is a business is operated from the owner's home, very nice person, but charged me more minutes than I was there for (charge I agreed to was $2/min), I started to keep track of time because I suspected overcharging and sure enough I was right. Even after mentioning this she would say no that she had the time right. I don't know how this place/person is still in business! She offers a lot of services, I even did massage for a lot of pain I was having, that didn't work, I was never even relaxed (with this eye patch that she would put on which kept slipping off, taking me out of relaxation, I had to tell her to stop using it!). Scheduling was odd: she would say a certain time is not available, then when I would state okay then take me off schedule, then the original time would appear back on schedule. She works out of her house, she was late when starting the appointment, didn't do all the things I paid for , didn't offer to fix the problem or correct what I was missed or done incorrectly. DO NOT GO HERE! They do not answer the phone and then responded with a text after 9pm giving me 4 time options to schedule for the day I requested. Once I replied they said that day is no longer available. Hard to believe 4 people booked late at night before I could respond to the text. Purchased a local flavor for a 30 minute massage. When I called to schedule my massage, I was told I could upgrade to a full hour for just a little bit more. Since this was a far drive for me, that's what I did. The massage was great. She started off with full body, then focused on my areas that needed more attention. I didn't even have to say what was hurting, she already found it herself. As she gave the more detailed massage, she explained all about those muscles and even showed me some stretches I could do at home. When I left, I was given a brochure showing all of the different services offered. You could do a whole day of pampering here! I bought a Groupon for services here and was on the way and going to be like 5 minutes late for my appointment only to be told by text my appointment would be cancelled and I would need to reschedule. And when I gave two dates I was available I never got a response as this was all by text because you cannot get anyone on the phone. So i never got to experience the services but from the horrible customer service I received I don't really want to know how the services would be. read more

The communication is not great. The only way you can get a hold of this place is by text message because they never answer the phone. The hours are extremely confusing and availability always seems to be issue. I didn't even want to do this because of how frustrating the communication was but my wife told me not to waste the Groupon, which I got two of in order to do a couple's massage with her, only to find out that they do not offer that. I also could not schedule a time for my wife to use her coupon because of, again, communication. They said they could ask the massage therapist to accommodate a 5:30 time because of my wife's work schedule. I said that would be great and never heard anything back so I assumed it was all set. Then when I get there, the lady I was texting said she's the massage therapist and she can't accommodate it and she'll need to pick a different time. Mind you, this is same day. This is also a sketchy location, because the address listed on google is a business location but when they send you the address, day of, it's a residential address. The massage therapist says they "plan" on moving to this abandoned location but it's owned by a "slumlord" and they've gotten nowhere with the owner in over a year. She also talked my ear off the entire 50 minute massage about her and her son's life story to try and promote a secondary farm business in Georgia. The massage was also Very tame and felt like something my wife could have done for free. She essentially rubbed my back with the occasional elbow grind for 40 minutes before rubbing my legs and digging into my shoulders for the last 10. Avoid Paradise Day Spa in Yulee at all costs! Good reviews have to be fake. I decided to go, against my better judgement. Thought it would be nice to find a place closer to home. Did not expect it to be of the caliber of the Ponte Vedra Spa or Spa at Bartram Walk BUT expected to at least relax & have the services done closer to home. I was told my day of services (5) would be at least 3 1/2 hours long. I was there closer to 2 hours & it was horrible! 2 hours is being gracious because the last 25-30 minutes was her trying to get my credit card to scan; she had no clue what she was doing with that either. I got there & was put in a massage chair in a hallway & sadly, that was probably the best part. The hallway was busy & the conversations in what I believe was the hair area was very loud. Not relaxing at all & my purse was on a stool next to me so when people were coming & going, I was concerned about my purse. $300!!! Sounds like a deal but I assure you it was not! The only thing that was decent was maybe the first half of the massage. I wanted to cry, seriously this was my birthday gift & it was rushed! It was so rushed that the strokes of the massage didn't even feel relaxing, nor the body scrub & the facial was not relaxing at all; very quick & not relaxing. A facial isn't a facial because you wash somebody's face under a steamer; literally that's all that was done. The body scrub was done on my back, most areas of my legs/arms, & I was asked to sit up to get it done so she can reach my back. It's was very quick & rushed. She used warm, wet towels to wipe off the body scrub (yes, while I'm still laying on the table & had to sit up again to get my back). Then she disappeared for a while & left me freezing under the sheet. She kept disappearing & leaving me in the same room that was by the front door & noisy, again not relaxing at all! Then the body wrap was not even a wrap. She put something warm on most areas of my arms, most areas of my legs & made me sit up again to do my back & then of course once I lay down it started getting cold, I was freezing again. I was freezing for for probably 75% of the time I was there. She had to have seen me shaking & later even said she's complained to management about how cold it gets in the rooms. I was never offered another blanket, anything to drink, a robe, nothing explained! Nothing was explained except her sales pitch about the membership. She told me she really only liked doing the massage & hair removal. I guess only for the first few minutes because after that EVERYTHING was rushed. This is NO spa! Not even close to being a spa! Then when I went to check out, she couldn't get my credit card to scan. She kept giving me a hard time about how she was going to get in trouble because they weren't supposed to type in the credit cards. Kept telling me something was wrong with my card yet I used immediately after the "spa" to get lunch so there was NOTHING wrong with my card. She said it cost them more money to type in the credit card number. Worst experience I've ever had the Mani-Pedi didn't even happen. She washed my feet a little bit rubbed something on my feet for like 30 seconds & when she was using the nail file it hurt she wasn't careful at all. She couldn't get the rub out of the dish because the spoon was stuck & got maybe the size of a lentil out of the dish & rubbed it so quickly... she told me she usually left the mani-pedis to the young girls because they can see!! She kept using a nail file & a foot file & throwing them back into a drawer, seemed very unsanitary! I didn't see any kind of cleaning of these tools at all! Tools didn't come out of a sanitized pouch either. She even said she wasn't used to do in the Mani- Pedi. Well the manicure, I had already painted my nails clear, she didn't take that off & she didn't shape my nails no hand massage no new paint; nothing like that it was literally not worth the money. I questioned her about how I had never had one person so services all in the same room & by the same person and she said there were several of them who had several license. I gave her a 20% tip in the spirit of Christmas and now I could kick myself in the butt for even paying for that service let alone giving a tip. Do yourself a favor and just pay more & go to an actual spa. I was looking forward to this for weeks, months actually when I finally decided on this place. I have not done anything like that for myself in a long time because my free time is very limited. I really just wanted to enjoy it & RELAX and she kept giving me sales pitch during my services. I've been to a lot of places & have never experienced anything like this at all! Honestly, I don't know where they got the photos for their website but it's NOTHING like the pics whatsoever. This place should not be allowed to call itself a spa! They never did a medical history, which seems basic at every place I've ever gotten a massage.
