I am not sure where the 5 star ratings are coming from on this place, but I totally disagree. After moving to the area I have been looking for a new solid place to get my regular pedis. This place had decent Yelp reviews, was nearby and had a sign out front stating it was voted the best nail place SO I said What the Heck, I'll stop in for my overdue pedi and a nice lil mani to spruce up my hands. Walk in, no wait....awesome. Usual prices...great. Decor and atmosphere....yuck. I can deal with ugly, especially of the service is stellar. Not the case with this place. Limited, old looking polishes. Rush job on both mani and pedi (first time in my life that my pedi was complete at the same time as a simple mani). Sloppy paint job on both. There was polish ON my cuticles!!! Skip this place. read more

When I lived in Dallas, I used to come here for a pedicure from time to time. I'm not much of a girly girl, but I love me a good pedicure! I was back in town for a wedding recently and needed to do something about the state of my feet before I put on those strappy sandals... so I ventured over to Nails Now. I think $25 is a steal for 45 minutes of foot-massaging, callous-removing, chair-vibrating bliss. I would post a pic of my toes, but since I didn't take a "before" picture, it wouldn't do their work justice. I have never been displeased with their service or unhappy with their work. I'm so glad I discovered a new nail salon literally walking distance from my apartment. The people who work here are very friendly and they do a more-than-decent-job with your beauty necessities. I only went in here 2 times, but do plan on frequenting this place for the future. I did the basic manicure and eyebrow waxing. Next time I come, I will probably do the acrylic, as their prices are super affordable compared to many of their competitors. It's just a nice convenient place. No appointment necessary. read more

Simple, no frills just good work. I've been to the places where it's all fluff n up selling which I don't mind but the work isn't as good as the hype. I had a pedicure with gel overlays (worth the extra $15 - stays shiny forever and strengthens my weak toenails) and a new set of acrylics. (During the pedi, which I'm not a huge fan of since I don't get to totally relax for my pedi) but was very time efficient. The pedicurist (Yen) was as particular as I am, didn't have to come home and clip or file anything. ( which I normally have to) my nails by Hannah were done nicely again no tweaking when I got home;) I would improve on the choice of polish and the music selection was like Muzak (elevator music) the staff speak very little English which makes chat challenging and they didn't seem very happy. During our Girls' Day Out this past Saturday, my friend and I decided on Nails Now based off of the Yelp reviews. Needless to say the Yelpers did not let me down. This place was very nice, great mani/pedi, and I am so glad that there is one in Northwest Plano! If we do have a Girls' Day Out and plan on getting a mani/pedi, we will be going here! The people were very nice and it did not take long at all. It wasn't very busy when we went in so there was no wait as a walk-in! The prices are very reasonable. They offer a Spa Mani/Pedi for $47 which is not bad and it includes paraffin wax on the hands and feet. If you are ever close to Northpark Mall and need a mani/pedi, drive 5 minutes and you will not be disappointed! read more

My top coat wasn't put on correctly and I noticed it peeling off an hour after I had left the place. I was too lazy to go back so my Yelp review will be my passive aggressive way of complaining. The service was fine. Not too warm or pampering, just fine. It cost $48 (including tip) for a mani/pedi with flower designs on 2 toes. I thought that price was a bit steep. The polish on my hands have fallen off 1 week after my visit but I was expecting that. My toes are beautiful though. I absolutely love the flower design and color. This place is really hit or miss for me. Some times I get an absolutely marvelous perfect pedicure (which is all I normally get). Other times I get the worst thing ever from the bad paint job to cuts (that bleed). BUT this place is always clean, everyone is nice and always fit in walk ins (which I always am). I came in as a walk in for my brows which were very unkempt at this point. It was a Tuesday afternoon so there was no wait, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The arch was perfect, the tech didn't take too much nor too little off. My skin was a little red after waxing but that's always normal for me and went away just as quickly. So I missed my 5 year nail tech appointment in her private suite and I'm on my way out of town.....so drastic measures....choose a random nail shop! . This was okay. I'm used to really getting my heels scrubbed and cuticles immaculate......but you get what you pay for. So I guess no major complaints except my feet aren't soft and they are kind of skimpy on callus remover. Ehhhhh guess I'll go home and use my own with my own foot file. . Lol read more

Went without an appointment late on a Friday afternoon. The salon was clean, and the there was no wait. I would give the salon at least 3 1/2. Unfortunately my technician (sorry, did not get her name) was not very capable... my pedi was okay, but the paint was somewhat sloppy, the mani is where the stars went down rapidly. I had several nails that were shaped oddly, meaning they were not at all even (I get my nails down regularly), the cuticles were not the same - some cut, some not at all, and the clear nail polish lasted one day. By the next day, 1/2 of my nails had polish coming off. Wanted to love it since it's near home, but will continue going to Glamour Nails in Richardson, closer to my office. read more

Came in and got a mani and the lady that did it must of been new because my nails looked awful. They were to long and crooked There was way to much gel on them. I wasn't happy at how they looked. The next day I had to go to a different place for them to correct what they did to my nails. I k ow that i won't be coming back to this place for a mani. Just have to add 1 thing: Tina is amazing!!! She rubbed all the stress (caused by my husband driving my GTO into a huge curb) right out of my legs and feet! I have never requested anyone before, but I think I might start making appointments just so I can get Tina again. Wow! read more

Walked in and had to wait 40 mins for a pedicure, there was no one in line in front of me, just very short staffed. I got the spa pedicure, and the only good thing about it was the wax treatment, had a terrible massage, that honestly just hurt bc there was not enough lotion, she did not use any pressure, and the paint job had lines and bubbles,and spots on the nail that weren't even covered. Not to mention my nails were not trimmed evenly. If you have the extra cash i would suggest going to hawaiian nail bar which is my fave! read more

I usually get the gel nail polish and I know it is a new concept so I excuse it when I feel like the lady doesn't know what she is doing. This place is great - everyone is really friendly and they don't talk to you much while you are there, which is great since you want to relax and don't want the stress of small talk. They do a great job with painting and I also get my eyebrows waxed there are they are perfect each time. I always walk-in and only have to wait a max of 10 min to get my pedi. Fast and efficient. I got a 20 leg/feet massage! Went it on a tuesday afternoon. Was not busy. Had a mani/pedi and two ladies were working on me simultaneously. Was in and out in 1.5 hrs. Good color selection. The ladies were miticulous and whenever I get my nails done, they never dry quick enough and I always end up wrinkling them or scratch the paint, but with this place this did not happen. I've been going to this spot for about a year and a half. I'll only two tech give me a pedicure only because I'm familiar with just those to beautiful ladies. They always take good care of me and I enjoy the fact that my spot is quiet and peaceful. Because I have an ingrown toenail getting pedi's is a big deal so these ladies make me feel comfortable. Other than these 2techs I've never let another person give me a pedicure and hopefully I never will have to. My spot is the best spot. read more

I'm always skeptical about going to new places to get my nails done because I have a birth defect (and you never know how people will react and it can be a very uncomfortable experience.) More like nails never!! A couple weeks ago I went in to get acrylic glow in the dark nails and I was told the color I got was glow in the dark until I get home and realize they were not. I gave this place a second chance and went back for gel nails and they did not put on the same color I asked for! I was with my friend also who asked for a white and pink ombré and it turned out with lines in her nails with mainly pink to no white. Absolutely never coming back to this place again. read more

Worst service. They don't listen to what service you're trying to tell them you want. Guy just put fake nails on me without a manicure. I had to ask for manicure. The manicure consisted of just cutting my cuticles, which were already covered with acrylic. Then just put polish on. No lotion or oil or anything. Went here on a whim when my meeting was postponed - GREAT service. I was sat down immediately. They didn't try to up-charge, great nail tech, great leg massage, beautiful work on the pedicure! I loved Nails Now! I was promptly seated for my walk-in manicure/pedicure even though the place looked pretty busy. My technician was friendly and did exactly what I asked for in regards to shaping my nails and the size of french tips. The massages on my hands and feet were exceptional! My only complaint would be the male worker (owner?) He wasn't that friendly when I walked in or when I was paying. I wish I could remember my technicians name, but I went a few weeks ago and have since forgotten it, but I have not forgotten the great nail job! Definitely would recommend. read more

I've tried several nail salons in Dallas, and this is the best I've found. They give the longest foot massages with their pedicures. They are also relatively cheaper than other places. The spa pedicure is only $32 while at other places I have seen it go for $50. read more

I don't get my nails done often, but this is where I go when I do. They are cheap, but do a good job. Since I go very infrequently, I don't have a specific person, but I usually get the spa manicure and spa pedicure. They spend a good amount of time massaging your arms and calfs, and you get to sit in a massage chair that'll do your back. Never had a bad technician. Overall it's a good place. read more

I made an appointment over the phone, showed up 15 minutes later for that appointment and the lady at the desk told me they couldn't help me. When I questioned it because I had made an appointment she asked a technician in front of me if she could do my nails the technician looked at me at shook her head. I wouldn't have cared that they didn't have time, since I was wanting my nails done in short notice, but I wish they would have told me that when I called instead of having me make and appointment, drive up there, and then not got helped. read more
