Absolutely the worst nail salon in the history of nail salons. I went there today, and granted, it was Mother's Day, so it was rather busy, but that is NO excuse for the kind of treatment I received from this place. Around 5 or 6 manicurists were busy with other customers, so I had to wait around 30 minutes to even get attention from one of the workers. I ended up having Linda, the MANAGER of the whole store. You'd think that as the manager, she would be the most skilled and most concerned about the service her patrons received. NOPE. When she sat down in front of me, she asked me to put my hands in the lukewarm water, put some of that cuticle lotion, and then proceeded to send about 2 or 3 texts messages on her iphone. Shamelessly. Then she half-assly removes my old nailpolish. (She fails to remove an entire layer of light pink nail polish off my pinky finger.) Oh, but it gets worse. She starts to remove my cuticles, and tactlessly tells me that I have basically disgusting hands because I don't groom. (YES THANK YOU, I THINK THAT'S WHY I DECIDED TO GET A MANICURE THAT DAY.) Then what does she do? She cuts too deep into my ring finger, and I start bleeding profusely. BLEEDING. I hold my tongue and watch her rush to get antiseptic. She apologizes insincerely, but at this point I'm kinda pissed. Then she complains that my cuticles are so deep into my fingers, and that's why she had to cut so deep. Uhm? She then moves on to my middle finger and pointer finger without any mishaps, but once again, cuts up my thumb. This is when I flipped out. No one expects to bleed TWICE during a manicure. NO ONE. I refused any more service, from this store, and left as soon as I could. They will never touch my hands ever again. And I hope they never touch yours either. If you want pretty looking nails, Nails L'amour is the absolutely last place in the world you should consider. I previously gave this place 3 stars but i had to change it to one. the older lady that was giving me my pedicure freakin' dug too deep on the side of my toe and now i think i have a freakin' infection of some sort.. it still hasnt healed it and like i said its been 2 weeks already. I would NOT recommend going here and having that old old lady to do any work on myself or on anyone else. sorry Nails L'amour but i'll be going to JENNY'S NAIL DESIGN from now on. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- this place is close by my mom's house so i go once and while since i dont live with her anymore. i only come for the pedicures. although they use buckets to soak your feet in they do a pretty good job. i usually get a french manicure but i'm not that big of a fan for their pink top coat. makes my toes look "un-natural". i've been here before to get my nails done with the two tone look (white and pink powder) and the lady who did my nails (i believe it was Linda) filed my natural nails really thin and made my nails really thick with all the white and pink powder. NOT NATURAL LOOKING AT ALL!. while she buffed my nails she also managed to nik me a few times on my cuticles. the ladies are nice and seem to always do a great job on my toes. plus they dont do too bad of a job on designs. i would pass on the full set manicures. read more

Nails L'Amour used to be top notch. They were my go to spot for pedicures and Shellac manicures. Although out of the way, I used to drive up to Milpitas from San Jose all the time because I was always happy with the consistent service and prices. The service sure has gone down hill over the past 2 years. I stopped coming here 2 years ago due to a negative experience I had when my nail tech failed to listen to my request resulting in an awful Shellac manicure that didn't even last one day. Anyhow, I decided to give them another shot when I was in the area last weekend. After all, it was only one negative experience in the many years of being a happy customer there. Never again. First off, they no longer have a great selection of polishes to choose from. There used to be different brands/colors to choose from before. They now only have one brand and not many colors options. Moving on... The owner did my pedicure and I knew right off the bat that I wasn't going to be happy as she began rushing through my pedicure right away, doing a half assed job the whole entire time. She was really rough when pushing back my cuticles. Luckily, she didn't cut me. I was really afraid that would happen since she rushed and was so rough. She painted my toes very quickly, not painting the full nail (leaving spaces on the sides). I had to ask her to fix it, by fully painting the toenail which seemed to bother her. I noticed that my pinky toenail wasn't fully painted, then asked her if she could fix that for me and she asked what color it was that I had used. She found a color that was similar but obviously did not match and was about to finish up painting that nail. I told her that was not the color and it didn't match. She looked up at me and said that it was okay. Really!? I shook my head no and she told me that the rest of the nail did not need to be painted. I was just so done and irritated by then that I just let it go and wanted to get out of there quickly. I knew right then and there that I would not be coming back. I wondered if she had rushed because she had an appointment coming in, but that was not the case. She immediately grabbed her iPad after finishing up and then grabbed a bag of peanuts she had. She sat next to me, munching away and seemed to be interested in trying to look at what I was reading on my phone. It was quite awkward. I paid using my debit card and asked if she could please break a $20 for me. She hands me a $10 bill and two $5's. Uhh...did she really think I was going to give her a $5? NOPE. I asked her to break the $5 and gave her $2 bucks. As I drove off, I realized that I shouldn't have given her anything since she did such a crappy job. Oh well. I'll be sure to not come here ever again. **Wow, I just noticed they're 2 1/2 stars now. They used to be 4. SMH** read more

No spa pedicure chairs (they have little foot bacth buckets), no leg massage (which is the norm at other pedicure places) felt hella rushed... ONLY GOOD THING about this place is that its one of the cheapest places I've been to. So I guess expecting anything more than a nail polish change is asking for too much. The manager of the place is really sweet (I don't think she would have said 'no,' to a massage if she was working on my toes, but another lady, said "no...we are too busy." I was about to get up and leave right then.....ARGH) Then I left the place to have dinenr with my gf and my big toe nailposh wipped off in my shoe...so came back after 1 hr to get it fixed and she fixed it!!! She was recommended by my sister in law. She is sweet and always available when you need to get your nails done. She is very accommodating to all her clients. She speaks English good. Tina does my nails and is very good at it, we've been through a lot of shapes and color and she knows what's best for me.
