I'm crying in my car writing this review. I made an appointment for dip nails and a pedicure. The woman took one look at my nails, took the powder out and started coloring. I was obviously taken aback and asked her why she wasn't cleaning and shaping it first. She said she'll do it after and that that's how it's done. I have never had someone clean and shape nails AFTER the color is on so I got concerned. The woman next to me was getting her nails cleaned before the polish so I pointed it out and she said it's because it's gel nails. Made no sense to me but okay. I had told her to make my nails rounded and she proceeded to make them square after the color (that was the shape they were in already and she made it more prominent) and when I reminded her, she said some more meaningless stuff. The end product looked like red blobs on my nails which I pointed out. She told me she was just following the natural shape and length of my nails and that it would have been better if I'd gotten fake nails. I have gotten dip nails many times with this exact shape and length and this is the ugliest and most shoddiest job ever. I refused to get the pedicurafter this whole ordeal. I was already teary eyed on the chair and broke down down as soon as I got to my car. Nails are not something to cry over of course but this was just so pathetic I couldn't hold it in. Really not sure how they are open without even getting basics right. Please do not go here. read more

It was Sunday and this place is open. The massage chair was nice and I received a good quality pedicure. The lady took her time to do a good job with the scrub, foot massage and callus removal. I was finally able to relax and I dozed off, then suddenly woken up by yelling. It was the other 2 workers and they were not angry or fighting, it's their natural way of communicating. It would be nice if the workers can use their "inside voice" in a more pleasant tone when in a spa type of environment. If not customers, maybe they can do a little dusting and wipe down the windows. I've had pedicures from three different ladies, and each one was meticulous, and lived up to my high standards. Went in for just a fill, never had such a bad experience. The entire service took maybe 25 minutes, and cost $40. My nails are uneven, have bubbles, the texture is inconsistent. And the simple French tips have uneven lines all over. read more

When she sat me down for my pedicure she didn't ask me one question of how I wanted my pedicure or what kind of pedicure I wanted. The owner wanted to fix it but I refused. It's so hard to find a nail tech I can trust, the nail Spa I go to closed for a few months for renovations. I buchard my finger nails and toe nails because I cut them myself, I had to seriously get my nails done. I do gel polish over my natural nails. I found Angel Nail Spa on line and gave them a try. I was greatly surprised. They close at 8pm on a Saturday night. Nail Techs were very friendly. I really enjoyed my pedicure. My manicure was done nicely. Both Tech's did an awesome job. They had beautiful gel polish colors. The shop was small but clean and felt compy more personal. Although I found a good parking, I can see the parking being tough, that center seems really busy. Overall I had a great experience. I'll be curious to see how long my gel polish will last (gel on finger and toe nails) and how they remove my gel polish. I'm hoping they use the cotton ball with acetone and wrap with foil method because I don't like when Tech's drill off the gel polish from my natural nails, that makes them weak and I just do not like that method. If they use the removal method I like, I just might make the shop my new spot since I live near by! Well I shall see in a few weeks... UPDATE: This salon uses the drill removal method, I asked if they could use the soaking method however the owner of the place was refusing, I could understand if they were busy however no one was waiting and she kept trying to explain how the drill method was better. I knew it would be better for the business to go quicker and less supplies however again, no one was even in the salon. I'd even pay more for this method but no luck. Salon does nice nails but, I'd rather not mess up my natural nails so that was the last time I went to this shop, for not considering a customer on a simple process I've changed rating to 3 stars. Not the best. My friend and I went on a Friday evening and it was nice that they took us as walk-ins and pricing was pretty reasonable. However, overall service was subpar. I got a gel manicure and wanted an ombré design. It's understandable that not all technicians have the experience to do the design that I was looking for, but instead of acknowledging that she couldn't do it, she tried to do it anyway and acted very confident throughout the entire process, even though she clearly didn't know what she was doing. I had doubts about her technique as she was doing my nails, but decided to "trust the process". But as she was adding the top coat, my nails were looking quite different from the inspiration pic (in a bad way), so I had to step in to ask her to modify it to cover up the parts that didn't turn out well. She ended up half-assing it after that and didn't bother to smooth out the polish so it ended up being a bit lumpy. Overall, I wish she would've communicated that she didn't have the experience to do the design I wanted and I would've been more than happy to choose a simple look. She also never checked in with me to ask if I was okay with how things looked throughout the entire process, from shaping the nails to the final product; I had to be very diligent and speak up whenever I didn't like something. She also used her fingers to dab the nail polish sometimes (should have been a red flag), and when she massaged my hands with lotion at the end her hands were still dirty and rough - it felt like a sand lotion massage. If she had stopped there I would've been pretty upset, but she wiped my hands down with a hot towel after so that kind of made up for it. Overall, it just felt like she didn't really care about her service and whether I was satisfied with how my nails turned out. Not likely to go back; I'll be trying a different place next time. read more

The owner did my nails and I asked for a specific type, she said she could do it and was being rude about it... she literally charged me $50 for crappy nail and sloppy job. Do not come here... My 100th review ! Wish it was more positive. I almost always have my nails done, but this is the first time ever I have said 'What is this on my nails?' Went in to take a break from the acrylics and gels for a simple manicure with *polish*. No wait. Both girls were friendly although a little pushy about upgrading to gel . I was apprehensive about how they soaked my gel nails then used a soft nail drill to file off my gel, but it worked out ok I think. Onto the polish, white tips looked fine. Then she pulled out the clear coat. It had a short wand tip as I have seen with gel polishes but I didn't think much of it. As I see the clear 'polish' glide thickly on my nail I asked, is this polish? She says yea. I believe her. So, it is taking forever I mean forever to dry and I see that its so thick it's starting to slide off a few fingers. this doesn't seem normal but ok. The manager/owner sees the situation and kindly touched it up without me having to say anything. Off I go with a strange thick mani. The very next day, most fingernail edges of the clear part have lifted. I use that word purposely because it did not chip, it definitely lifted similar to when a acrylic set gets old. I found that odd. Day 3 - at least 75% of it had lifted and flaked off. Wow..what is this? I have never done this, I am not 'that person' but I went back to ask for it to be re-done because whatever was on my nails was not polish. What does the manager say? 'I told you to get gel'. Sigh, I understand chipping happens but this was something else! As I defend myself about most of my mani flaking off, she says you probably work around bleach or chemicals. Really?? Come on. After a bit of back and forth she agreed to re paint my nails. This time, I easily identify two popular polish brands being used and a normal looking wand. My nails look nice, even, and are holding up well so far. Thanks ladies. I just wish that was what had happened the 1st time around. read more

It is a smaller salon in comparison to other nail salons but I found it cozy and more personal. They have a good selection of nail colors and acrylic. My nails turned out very cute and well done. I want to give 5 stars to chi Ha (Hannah's sister) who did my pedi here. Since my favorite pedi tech Lee left the salon Sydney, I have tried many other places including this salon yet have not found anyone like Lee. Last several times last year I came here but Ha hadn't worked here yet so I thought I would not come again. However, I gave them another chance and I met Ha. She is so wonderful. She used good pressure on massage my legs and feet and the good thing is she DOES NOT wear gloves during the massage. That's how my previous lady Lee used to do and I LOVE it. Gloves during massage make my skin sticky and lotion/oil cannot absorb into the skin which cause me so annoyed. Also, Ha's painting job is flawless. It has been a very long time that no one could ever paint my toe nails to the very edges of each. The color and top coats are evenly applied and I (an OCD person) can't find any spot to complain about. Thank you chi Ha! Keep up your work!
