I came In on a day where I was feeling down. I haven't had my nails done since February 2020 and realized I haven't gotten them done in 3 years. So I walked around the block to Nail Island and was greeted kindly by the staff for a walk-in for acrylic and powder polish coat. My total was $67 (not including tip) but the experience was so lovely for a detailed manicure and cleaning, acrylic full set, and dip polish. They do charge for their disposable tools (ie., buffers, mini files, etc,.) but it's only $.25 per tool so it really is only a $1 onto the total bill after all is said and done. The experience was lovely and definitely uplifting. I was embarrassed walking in with the state of my natural nails but left wanting to show every stranger on the street how pretty they looked! They have a huge selection of colors (especially for their dip powders!! I was shocked at all the options!) Highly recommend, and will come back.

I love this place! The staff is so sweet and accommodating. I've tried pretty much all the techs here and they're all so talented. Ashley did my latest set and I'm super happy with it!

If you're looking for a nail tech who does an amazing job every single time, look no further than Ashley at Nails Island . Highly recommended!

This is what I got

First time being here (Michelle ) did my nails ,she had an attitude the whole time and she was rushing the whole time . I got overcharged and paid $104 .

Michelle did my nails. Had a UV gel refill. They look great! The establishment is clean and everyone is very friendly.

I love writing good reviews on yelp. In fact, I don't think I've ever given 2 stars. I loved going to this place since they opened. I remember a nice woman and a man who worked there and were always pleasant. I think she was the owner. I haven't seen them in a while and I figured I'd go. Anyway, I went for a pedicure and SNS powder. During Covid, I have not been out much and I wanted to relax. I also treated myself to a spa pedicure, which I usually don't do. It is pricier but I wanted a nice experience. The woman scraped my feet very hard and before I knew it she cut me and I was bleeding. This was with the pumice stone which is supposed to just be used on the heels. The experience wasn't relaxing it was stressful because I had the feeling that I could get cut. She didn't apologize! She kept going. I told her I needed a napkin! I mean, who ignores this? Especially now? She went over and patted the cut hard. Then I asked for a bandaid. It's as if she was angry because she cut me! She started talking in her native language with other workers there. And just moved on. The SNS was good. I will say that but I rather not get cut. It is very uncomfortable because the cut is in my inner ankle. I can't work out like this because the sneaker will hurt the wound and not let it heal. The pedicure was $30. The SNS was $45. How am I paying this after getting cut. I still tipped her. I usually leave 20 percent but I gave her $5. She was furious. Do people forget that tipping is for service?

10 days later, and parts that had cracks are chipping away... waste of $45

Place is nice and clean. Never have to wait when I get there. My last two manis have been crappy though. They look great when I leave the place but are horrible within a few days. The first time, I thought it was because I did a regular mani. The nail polish was cracking by the 3rd day. The second time, which was last week, I decided to do a dip powder mani. Those usually last me 3-4 weeks. It hasn't even been a week and one of my nails is chipped, and the other ones are cracked. I don't know what's going on but I don't think I'll be back. It's. right that I paid $45 for a mani that won't last as long as it's supposed to.

Regular mani by Michelle.. great job!!! Very gentle and thorough.. cant wait to go back

I have been here a few times, gel powder always comes out looking nearly perfect. Only downside is it is time consuming and more expensive than my usual nail salon. Great color selection. Basic pedicure was quick and looks nice. Employees were nice and polite. I will be going again for both mani and pedi.

Been coming here for the SNS powder manicure recently. I love the way they come out here! They last a while and always look really good. It gets crowded around 6 with people coming after work so you may have to wait. Would recommend!

Gel manicure $35 done well. By I think "Emily? Doubt that's her real name lol

My favorite place in Riverdale to get my nails done. Nicest people, very clean and very relaxing.
