I came in here and they were very professional, affordable and precise. It's very clean and well kept and that says a lot in comparison to the other salons in the neighborhood. The color selection was on point and even the detail in the designs on the client next to me was immaculate. I wish more people would give this place a review because these people definitely deserve more clientele!!!! Mind you I've had these nails for a month (just been busy) and they didn't lift or crack they faded a little because I've been remodeling but other than that and could probably still hold on if my nails didn't grow so quickly!

Appointment only!!! I love that they are appointment only. When I arrive on time, they take me and the time allotted is based on the services I mentioned when I set the appointment. So if I need new set they will let you know to come at least an hour early than your scheduled appointment to soak. If you are a nail vet (meaning getting wraps or extensions regularly, you know the drill) 2. Accommodating. The staff are accommodating and respectful to all clients. You need to be upfront with your needs because they will do their best without impacting other appointments. 3. Clean!!! I never worry about sanitation of the salon utensils or facilities. The salon is really cute. 4. Lastly the staff. Honestly, this is a women's version of a men's barbershop. I have seen some of the most conservative, quiet and introverted clients come out of their shell (myself included). The staff are fun and vibrant. I have at some point had a service by all staff. These ladies take their quality of work personal. 5. Customer Service-honestly their prices average 2-3.00 more than services at other salons. The more extravagant the design you will pay more. I see it as paying for safety, sanitation and really hands on customer service. This review is long overdue because I'm not big on writing reviews. I work in corporate and wear a lot dark and neutral attire. My nails are a form of expression. At some point I was afraid to have lengthy nails with bright colors, but I get more compliments from executives who use it as an ice breaker to talk business. Since finding SG, I look forward to my "me time." The spirit of salon is amazing.

So, on Saturday I decided to check out the lacquer room to see what their appointments looked like. Low and behold, there was one opening and I booked immediately. Mariel did my full set and I am so excited. Everyone keeps asking me where I went and I am happy to send them their way, even though I have not been able to find an appointment for a fill. LOL The shop is so cute inside and the vibe is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and the music is great. The rapport that all of the nail artists have with each other is outstanding. This is super important for me when I frequent a business. If everyone there likes each other then I most likely will like them too. Also, everyone is invested in providing quality work. I brought my own French nude and topcoat because last time the nail polish chipped the next day. I believe this time the top coat was applied incorrectly because the salon's black polish is already chipping on four of my fingers. The lines are freehand and sloppy, which bothers me to no end. Overall, the color selection is small, and most of the bottles look very old and are separating. I also would not recommend getting eyebrows done here. For the amount I spent on mediocre nails, I'd expected a better outcome for my brows. Alas, she shuffled me into a room that looked unclean and swiftly slopped wax onto my face and ripped it off. No combing or shaping, scissor cutting, and minimal tweezing. I do a better job when I maintain them myself. I strongly felt the impression that I wasn't welcome, so I will find another salon for nail services.

I had SNS powder on my nail prior to arrival. After soaking my nails.. She left some powder residue on my nails . I asked her to remove it bcs it will cause the polish on top to crack prematurely once the residue starts rising (do I have to explain this to a nail tech?) . She said she didn't remove it bcs she didn't want to scrape my nails any further. OK but did I ask you that or did I ask you to remove it? She painted my nails and left a noticeable streak (see picture) then when I tell her about it she gets defensive. Giving an explanation that she needed to get polish on the corner but if she did a new coat it would be too thick. I don't want to hear excuses. Overall it was not a clean set. I'm in need of another scrub asap. I feel like I'm ripping through my socks with how rough my feet were left.
