I want to start by saying that everything was going great at first, and I'm not a picky person when it comes to nails. Tim began my service and initially things were fine. However, when I politely asked one time for my French tip to be thinner--simply a personal preference--his attitude completely changed. He started huffing and puffing and slamming his tools, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. The situation was so noticeable that the client sitting next to me even commented, asking if he was okay and sarcastically saying, "Are you not paying for your service?" That's how awkward it became. I calmly asked Tim if I was bothering him, and he finished my nails, but by that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. I didn't even finish the design I originally wanted because of his attitude and rudeness. I'm disappointed because I expect professionalism, especially when a customer makes a simple, respectful request. The tech I wanted was not available so I looked on the website and found Mylo's work. The next time we stopped in, I requested her. I asked for a simple gel manicure, but the guy messed up my nails and didn't even use the color I requested. It's unprofessional and completely unacceptable. If I can give this place negative 5 stars I would. This was hands down the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had. The technician put acetone directly on my toenails to remove polish. no soaking or care at all. He then used an electric file to remove my cuticles instead of proper tools, which felt harsh and unsanitary. He showed me a callus scraper and asked if I wanted it, but never mentioned it would cost an extra $10, and he only used it for 20 seconds! That's incredibly misleading. To top it off, the person clearly had no idea how to paint nails properly, and the overall quality was terrible. The place felt disorganized, unprofessional, and way overpriced for the service received. Honestly, I would never go back. At first, I had a tech who did an okay job, but over time, he started making mistakes--constantly cutting me and never bothering to properly clean the wounds with alcohol. When I tried other techs, they were just as bad--mediocre, poorly trained, and in a rush to finish without any care for quality. To make matters worse, whenever I voiced my concerns--whether to the techs or the women at the front desk--I was met with unprofessional attitudes, eye rolls, and whispered conversations in another language, blatantly talking about me instead of addressing the issue. The worst manicure I've ever had--if I can even call it a manicure! The experience was terrible from start to finish. They didn't soak my nails, offer a hot towel, or apply hand cream. I had to file my own nails because the technician didn't bother. When it came time to paint my nails, the polish was sloppily applied, getting all over my skin. Despite asking repeatedly for it to be cleaned up, my requests were ignored. Then, I was told that the first person working on me doesn't normally do nails! So why on earth was she the one painting mine? Another person finally stepped in to "fix" it, but while repainting two nails, they were goofing off--spraying nail polish remover on another employee! Even after that, my skin was still covered in polish, and the application was uneven and bumpy. It's mortifying to have nails like this for the holidays. If I wanted a messy, amateur paint job, I could have done it myself at home. To top it off, they had the nerve to charge me for this disaster! At one point I was going on a special cruise, which I needed a nail theme, which she nailed it. People who saw me at the cruise recognize my nails. Today she also did a great job. I've never had a bad experience with service or quality. I tried the $30 pedicure for the 1st time with Kia, he did such a great job, leg and foot massage it felt great. This is one of the worst nail salons I've ever been to - I recently got a gel mani and pedi, left with cuts that were open and bleeding (I understand the occasional nip here and there). BUT I was full on bleeding and the nail tech used her bare finger to dab antiseptic powder and double dipped back into the powder with my blood on her finger. The techs also seem to struggle with understanding what you want, I asked for a very simple short, square with rounded corners mani / pedi - I left with chicklet squares on my hands and feet. I find that every time I go to this salon, I have to come home and correct their work. They also charge for every single thing, $5 for file your nail down a little, $5 if you want your nails filed with a rounded corner. If you could find another salon, do it. Chances are, you won't be satisfied here. read more

I love this place for several reasons. The staff is great, friendly and patient. The business is always clean, welcoming and comfortable to be in. The place doesn't smell like overwhelming chemicals and there aren't people yelling across the room like in many other salons. It's very spacious and beautiful actually. There is an area for pedicures in the back and hand are being worked on in the front. The colors are layed out very beautifully and the staff makes sure the list of people waiting is always updated and monitored. It's very organized and I appreciate that a lot in the beauty industry. I wish I can leave less than one star. These people are taking advantage of POC. They discriminate with who they're going to give A1 service to. I came in to get a manicure with just a gel acrylic overlay no tip/extension and cat eye nail polish. Mind you I came for very natural and normal nails. I am growing my natural nails out and only need overlay to ensure I have no breakage because my nails are brittle. I was charged $80 and was told it was because I was getting a full set and manicure with cat eye polish. Mind you there was no real manicure done, my cuticles weren't soaked or cut, they only did the gel acrylic overlay and polish. I didn't say anything that time but wish I did because I then came back less than a week later to just do a polish change. I was told that would be $25 and a regular gel manicure would be $30 so I decided to go with the gel manicure so that I can get my cuticles cut and just give me fresh manicured nails. The lady Amy was so eager to make sure they're making at least $80 an hour so they upsell you, she started shaving down the acrylic overlay that she just did less than a week before...she said she thought I wanted a fill, mind you, it was obviously not needed on my very short and natural nails. She then proceeded to just add the polish without giving a complete manicure, no soaking of nails cleaning or cutting of the cuticles until I said somethings. She was so upset that I spoke up. They dont do manicures according to New York state board. I think if this nail shop was catering to non POC they would give regular manicures and charge regular prices. Dont give them your business. They need to go to the city and charge and treat the upper class this way not in our own communities! read more

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NICE APPEARANCE! This salon gives HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went to Mila who provided HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and didn't do my nails the way I requested. While she was doing them I told her the shape is not what I wanted however there was nothing that could be done so I did not make it a big deal. Fast forward to when I had to pay, she charged me a $5 shape fee. I asked her why was I being charged a shape fee when 1. I never requested the shape she did. I reminded her that I even told her mid way through that I didn't like the shape. She began making up a bunch of excuses and i tried to explain to her my point but she began to cut me off and talk loudly over me saying that she knows what she's doing and she's been doing nails for over 20 years blah blah. I told her that I wasn't going to pay the $5. It wasn't about the money but more so the principle of the matter. 2. I didn't like my nails due to her giving me a more oval shape than the square that I requested so why would I pay a shape fee? My nails were initially the square shape when I arrived, I wanted a fill with the same square shape but she provided me more of an oval shape. I waShe kept telling me I had to pay and began yelling and talking over me despite me remaining calm. Her harassing me for $5 when her tip was going to be $15 is insane. I asked for the manager and the manager sided with her but then said I don't have to pay the $5 when I told him I wasn't. The manager allowed for her to yell at me making an entire scene in the salon. It was so embarrassing. The manager does not have any customer service skills either since he did not try to de-escalate the situation and apologize for her rude attitude. I won't recommend this place at all. Oh Btw, I paid for a spa pedicure which includes a free margarita. They bought me back a cup of margarita mix. The only reason I know it was margarita mix is because when I asked for a different one and watched them make me the new one, they literally showed me them pouring straight margarita mix into the cup. Proof that when I went to get a newly made drink they only poured the margarita mix in the cup. I had to explain to them how to make the margarita and that using the mix by itself is NOT a margarita and only syrup used for mixing drinks. INSANE! I started coming here to get my nails done right when nail salons were given the go to open during the pandemic. I decided to try them because I was told by a friend that the new CDC guidelines were being followed to the T, Unlike other places closer to me which are not. Upon arrival I got my temp taken, was asked to wash and sanitize my hands & fill out a simple questionnaire (COVID). The guy kept telling me to put my hand in the UV light... um that ish burns! He'd repeat not too long not too long. Uh mr, are you trying to fry me. I was satisfied when I left. But literally 3 days later and 2 broken nails... I was like that was the shortest life span of a sets I have ever had since the age of 16. The gel material thing they use can be flimsy on ur nail. The nail broke from me buttoning my jeans. Im like sheesh! It never even had a chance. The other nail broke when I went to grab my towel. I was disappointed. It literally hadn't been 3 days. I was walking around like a wounded child w cracked ugly nails. I had to go buy press ons which lasted 9 days. More than these sets! Jimmy removed my tips cut down the length on my natural nails and then said my nails were too short for acrylic tips. Jimmy then charged me $10.00 for removing my Tips and then charged me $60.00 for a new set of tips. I asked for a design, and he charged me $25.00. So I tried this Spa for several reasons 1. I've seen the spa since its construction period and it's beautiful 2. I live in the Bronx so finding a good nail tech is nearly impossible 3. Despite so many mixed reviews I got tired of googling/yelping. I decided to take a chance! Upon arrival, I looked busted but the guy at the front desk greeted me very nicely and asked me what I wanted to get done. I initially wanted a gel mani and reg pedi but since I was already in the spa my mind began to race and I showed him a picture of these gorgeous nails they did on this other yelp girl. Front desk guy called the available nail tech over (I believe his name is Henry) and showed him my picture. They said it was SNS and I'd probably need tips if I want her length. I most certainly did so we proceed with my pedicure first. The pedicure was very relaxing. Henry took his time with my overworked feet and was very careful with my very broken toenail. He actually told me to sit back and relax because I was very anxious (leaving to Cali in the morning, too much to do) and put the chair massager on. Thank you!! Now onto my nailsss! Henry carried my stuff over, removed my built up cuticles, cleaned out some hidden dirt and buffed them very lightly. He took his time installing the tips and making sure they were perfectly coffined shaped. (No crooked fingers over here ! Lol) But what really made this experience worthwhile was the SNS. I've never done SNS before, all my girls do it but I just never found a nail tech that could do it properly and with little-no imperfections... But let me tell you, Henry snatched my nails for the Godsss, created my own SNS color and sealed everything up very glossy. The whole experience was amazing and I think SNS will be my Go-To drip! Overall, I highly recommend this spa, just keep in mind most of the staff members aren't very fluent in English so be patient, if anything show pictures like I did! Also, clean quality salons do come with a bigger price tag so come ready to relax and spend. PS. Ask the front desk guy for prices, I came on a budget and that was one of the first things I asked about when showing him the pictures - Fullset Coffin SNS was roughly $45 - Pedicure was $25? *the rest of my $100 went to tip because he deserved it after spending 2.5 hours on my nails. & ask for my boy if u want, he's super nice and his work is great. Now that that's out the way, I stopped coming here a year ago (got a clear mani & as soon as i left the nail polish started cracking) and things with the service haven't changed. I went today bc simply I didn't have an umbrella and didn't want to travel to my new salon in the rain. I asked for a regular mani/pedi and was harassed to switch to gel several times. When the salonist finally stopped asking and accepted that I wasn't changing my mind, his whole demeanor and the experience switched. Every pedicure comes with a mini foot and leg massage, and this man was basically like, "if you're not getting gel, you're not getting any more outta me." I asked if he could do a gold line straight down the middle of my manicure (hand designs are 10 bucks) and he legit said "hand designs are for gel.. it looks better." Huh?! I went there to get my nails done on 05/22 & my thumb nail broke off half way on 05/26. Initially, I attempted to call and speak with a manager. The receptionist explained that the manager was on break and asked on what day I originally. I let her know what day and she immediately responded with "your transaction isn't listed". I tried explaining that my nails were done by Stephanie and my bank statements showed differently. The receptionist kept cutting me off and saying that they cannot help. I then got into an Uber to the salon and spoke with another receptionist. She was very rude and dismissive, especially after seeing my nails in person. She grabbed my phone and went to the computer to search for my transaction. She then started taking several other people instead of finishing with me. The receptionist came to inspect both of my hands. You could see that the work was sloppy, rushed, and that other nails were going to break off soon. It took 12 minutes for her to find the transaction and insisted that my nails be redone instead of giving me a refund. Once I raised my voice after several back and forth exchanges, she gave me my refund and the disgust was written all over her face... after receiving my refund and inspecting my hands further: you could see that my thumb nail bed was destroyed.
