I've always had a problem getting my nails done. My natural nailbeds are short, wide and flat with wonky sidewalls. They are very imperfect canvases. Add to that some techs just not doing a great job anyway. So, when I find a place that gives me good nails, I am loyal. This is my third time going to 167 Foxy Nails and I already have an appointment for a fourth! My first time was with a different tech and tbh, it was nothing special. I was not impressed. The nails were thick, and uneven. My favorite part was the very neutral jelly color. I decided to give the salon another try, and am happy I did. This tech examined my nails while having a brief consult on what I'd like. I told her I wanted the same color & shape (boring, I know). She tried to find the color through like a million test swatches, but never got a match. That's when she got to work! She filed down the thickness of the acrylic, taking her time to not only look (from different angles), but to FEEL for smoothness. That's when I knew I was going to walk out with good nails. She perfected the coffin shape, and took care of any stray cuticles. I was happy with my nails for the first time in years! Over the next few days, I'd look down at them and smile. And not only did they look good, they were durable! It took at least three weeks between each fill, the nails grew out, but never lifted. The last visit I had the original nails removed. There was no prying with a metrocard, or any other strong arm tactics. Just a soak in warm acetone and filing. Another consult on what I'd like and together we came up with the almond. The pictures make my nails look like pink M&Ms, but that's just my poor picture taking skills. The salon is appointment only, and I've never been made to wait when it was time. It's a small space, but doesn't feel stuffy. This is my go to spot for the foreseeable future. read more

Honestly based on reviews I was skeptical to try this place but so happy I did. I just moved to the city and was looking for somewhere to get my nails done. I saw Jenny and not only was she super attentive but very detailed about my nails. All the staff was polite and not only from what my nails looked like but the others around me they are all very talented! In addition, they were very affordable. Highly recommend for good quality and affordable service!! read more

This place has inconsistent reviews so be warned !! I've been a semi regular here since COVID. I do not know what the issue was today. I called in advance for my appointment to ask if they had mood change nail Polish (Polish that changes color based on temperature). They confirmed they do. I asked because I was tired of the same colors they've had the last couple years. They don't get anything new in. I pick my color, only to be told it's not going to change. The girl, Ling, I regularly see tried to explain. She explained in such a way I thought the color was just going to be subtle not a big change, which didn't make sense. She was trying to tell me that this will be with all the mood change nail polishes they have. I asked if can we do something so I can see (dip the painted nail in a bowl of hot water and cold water to see if it changes - which would be common sense to do). Ling sprays something on the nail and it does nothing. Ang, who they claim is the manager, proceeded to say "she's trying to tell you it will only change if it is hot or cold. It is room temperature in here." I requested again, can we get water so I can see how the color will change. Ang proceeds condescendingly tell me "so, what you want me to do? Go out and buy you water?" And proceeded to scoff / laugh. Very passive aggressive. I'm like excuse me ??? Common sense would tell you to run the nails under the cold / hot water or get 2 bowls of water like I mentioned. That's what any other nail salon I've been to has done. Ang ignored me as I expressed that I'm upset. I had no choice but to pick one of their traditional polishes. We move from the pedicure to my finger nails. I expressed to Ling I did not like how I was spoken to. I tried to vent to her about it respectfully. No cursing / name calling. Long story short she told me to take it up with her because she was trying to play neutral. I reassured her I know she didn't do anything to me. I'm just upset because I'm not leaving here with what I wanted and was given attitude on top of that for no reason. I let her finish my nails. The AMT was not giving more than $60 for the transaction. My total was $75. I refused to pay a fee twice. I left to go to another ATM. Come back and STILL tipped Ling. I then went to speak with Ang who couldn't even be bothered to step to the side and speak to me professionally. No eye contact. I told her I didn't appreciate how she spoke to me. This unprofessional passive aggressive little girl proceeds to tell me that she doesn't owe me an apology, and that she did nothing wrong. I insisted it was rude only for her then to try to deflect from the situation and me I was late for my appointment and gave Ling a hard time. Me being 5-7 minutes late is not an issue as far as I'm concerned when they told me there is a 15 minute grace period since I started going to this shit hole. I apologized to Ling and reassured her not once but twice I was venting and know she did nothing wrong. I then asked Ling did I do something ? She barely could speak but chose to agree I did something to her AFTER she got her tip $$$ pathetic. You couldn't speak to me as a grown ass woman if you were uncomfortable but can quietly speak your weak ass up after you got your tip. And I know I didn't give her a hard time because they wouldn't have continued to do my nails if I were oh so fucking "unruly and difficult". Oh and I forgot to mention, they sat me in a broken pedicure station and chose not to tell me the tub wouldn't be massaging my feet. The fact I still tipped shows I'm not the problem. I tried to resolve this in a mature and respectful manner but they want to be passive aggressive little bitches. Y'all act like your English isn't that good but if it's good enough for you to bait and switch / gaslight / and Speak up only after payment then it's good enough period. I told them to cancel all my appointments. Keep in mind if you still choose to go here, don't go on a rainy day. It gets flooded and dirty ass water will be surrounding you within minutes. It even comes out from their bathroom :) read more

They are kind, but do not be late for your appointment, they run a tight ship. I got my brows done and nails done and they did a sufficient job. My mind wasn't blown, but met my needs in a pinch. I would go again. read more

Super clean and they are very strict with COVID rules. No guests or kids allowed, appointments only and they use disposable files for clients or you can bring your own. After every person is done they clean the seats and surroundings for the next client. Tina is the best here. Ask for her if you want excellent service. I went here and the lady was rude at the beginning .I didn't wanted her to do my nails in the beginning but unfortunately she did after I thought it was the other lady doing my nails. It looks that some of them were using their phone often. I thought this salon was nice staff and good doing their nails since it was having great reviews. The lady at the end didn't finished the job properly even i told her some things i wanted but I guess she didn't hear me and said you should i told me instead sorry it's misunderstanding . Well now i know Im never coming back here.Very unsatisfactory and disappointed. read more

Rude as hell and complained when I wanted my nails to be done a certain way. Heard her say "ugly nails" under her breath while she was doing my nails. Mind you I paid $90 for a set and I was not asking for too much. When I got home I had to file and reshape my nails cause she didn't do it right and left my acrylic nails uneven and kinda crooked. I'm sure there's good nail techs in this salon but the lady I got assigned to was just terrible. Will not be returning read more

They know how to clean cuticles like no ones business! Lol they're super clean and have an amazing Covid safety protocol in place that I love and respect. The only downfall here is that they only do not do regular manicure or pedicures. They only have gel and powder nail polishes. I love a standard pedi so I just had to do the basic pedicure option they offer with no nail polish. read more

my nails always last a month minimum when i go here. everything is always very clean and they definitely take their time with everything detail. i always ask for lynn or danny but everyone does a great job. Love it here! 10/10. always call before as they are always by appointment. read more

I chose not to do business with them. I asked what forms of payment did they accept and I guess because I was not spending a great deal of money the manager abruptly with a harsh tone told me " we only take appointments" when the another customer that was another walk in was potentially going to spend about $200 in total was eagerly greeted and was told how long the wait would be. They even offered a beverage and a massage chair for them while they waited. I felt highly insulted and shamed. So if you go here please make sure you have an appointment if you are not going to spend big bucks!!! #feelinginsulted #feelingdisrepectedandshamed read more

AMAZING! Booking an appointment was simple and accommodating. The safety precautions put in place are great , there is barriers on botth the pedicure chairs and nail stations. New nails opened and used on each client not only on feet but also my hands! I got a deluxe pedicure and acrylic tips with Tracey, she took amber time made sure I was happy every step of the way and her massage ‍.She made left my feet and hands feeling awesome. Will definitely be returning and you should too !!! read more

Extremely rude!!! I went in to ask the woman who is literally at the front door a question and she totally ignored me. I said hello "TWICE" and she kept her head down and refused to acknowledge me. I promptly walked out and called to speak to the Manager. According to "Ann" who answered the phone, Danny is the manager and he isn't there. "Ann" claims that the lady "saw" me once I walked out and another male staffer had asked the rude woman what I wanted once I left. "Ann" then asked what I wanted to do and I told "Ann" that I wanted to make a complaint. "Ann" said there is no complaints or nothing that can be done. I guess rudeness within this establishment is acceptable to them. Glad I avoided this mistake of a place!!! read more

Terrible experiences here. The staff is unfriendly despite referring to various friends and being a top-tier tipper. I had an appointment, and my daughter's daycare was closed. I usually wouldn't bring her but had no choice. The chubby gentleman made a rude demand about my two-year-old touching a chair nearby. I decided to get up and leave. Businesses need to understand the importance of customer service. I'm disgusted and will file a complaint with the better business bureau. read more
