Ok so here's why I didn't give them all the stars: THE CUSTOMERS Omg SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT COME HERE. I feel so bad for the people that work here. They have to endure that type of behavior. If owner ever reads this. I was in your establishment on 3/05/2020 (Thursday) at about 1230 pm I got sat in my pedicure chair .. as I'm waiting I notice an argument between a customer and an employee whom at the moment was doing someone else's nails. The customer a Tiny (guayanese or trini) girl was snapping her fingers in the employees face ( LITERALLY) demanding attention. When the employee looked up at her the Tiny lady became irate. She demanded attention stating that she was ignoring her also calling her a bitch. The customer that was being worked on by this employee I guess looked up at her and gave her a weird look ( I MEAN WHO WOULDNT AT THIS POINT I WAS TOO FROM ACROSS THE ROOM) the Tiny lady went off on the customer calling her names .. the customer ignored her and it was time to go wash her hands.. as she's getting up tiny lady is LITERALLY right next to her wouldn't move so the lady can get up and turn around. I don't know how the lady managed to go around her but tiny lady insisted she was pushed. Tiny lady starts screaming accusing her of pushing and GRABS HER BY THE ARM AND NUDGES AT HER. I couldn't believe my eyes. That was it for me. I at that very moment knew I would never be coming back there. That could've been me. It could've been any on you reading this. And honestly owner of Double Easy. YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE COPS. You did not ask the customer if she was ok. You took her money when she paid you and didn't say a GODAMN THING. You did the tiny ladys nails at the end because your employee could not take it anymore. All the looks and accusations.. at one point she even said she was going to STAB HER!!! Very unprofessional on your part. Now Emma was not there.. I'm pretty sure she would have said some crazy shit to the tiny lady. BUT Emma's husband was there. He witnessed the whole thing. Did not do anything.. So yea that's why Im never coming back here! Your work is efficient Double Easy and you're always busy because of it .. but Im telling you one day there's gna b an incident and someone's going to sue you. If something would ever happen to me like that I would have called the cops I would've turned it UP. I'm coming to relax not to feel scared for my life .. im spending my hard working money at your establishment . I would not recommend this salon--and I especially would not recommend Laurie. Laurie is incredibly rude and dismissive the second you ask a question or give feedback about the nails YOU are paying for. I overlooked it several times because I liked the salon and other techs, but my final straw was my WEDDING nails. I specifically asked for a white/ivory shimmer and clarified that I did not want anything pink because Laurie had previously given me a pink base after we discussed white nails. When I questioned the color this time, she showed me the actual powder--and it was PINK, despite the sample looking white/ivory. When I asked what we could do to get closer to the color I actually requested, she literally shrugged and said, "Nothing." I asked if we could at least test one nail. Instead of trying to help, she continued being rude, dismissive, and argumentative. This wasn't an isolated incident. In previous appointments, she's rolled her eyes when I politely pointed out an issue with a nail, refused a simple design even though we ended up having plenty of appointment time left, and disregarded a color request I had explicitly discussed with her. After I finally told her that if she was going to continue being rude, someone else could do my nails, she REFUSED TO FINISH REMOVING THEM. Another technician had to finish taking them off. The receptionist was equally unhelpful and somehow claimed she didn't know how to contact the manager OR when the manager would be available. Four years as a customer, and this is how I was treated while trying to get my WEDDING nails done. Laurie's customer service is atrocious, and the salon's handling of the situation was just as bad. There are far too many nail salons to spend your money somewhere that treats paying customers like they're an inconvenience. I will never be back, and I absolutely would not recommend this salon or Laurie.

Here you're paying about $15 which includes a haircut, washing your hair (before and after your cut) and a scalp and shoulder massage. I go to Amy for my cut and I get Connie for my wash. My wife used to come here back in high school and now I come whenever we make a visit to Chinatown. I usually tip more than the cost of the visit which sounds absurd but I think it's so worth it. They really treat you well here.
