I came here after seeing this business' Instagram. I was very excited and already had in mind the exact design that I wanted. I had seen comments that Koila is the best one, so when I arrived, I asked for her. Koila saw my design, and agreed that she could do it... she was working on another girl, so I sat and waited. Koila eventually told me that one of the other girls was going to start the process for me, and that she would take over and do the design I wanted.. she never did. I do not think it came out the way it would have came out if Koila would have done my nails. Ladies, save your time and money and go somewhere else. I've been to this nail salon three times, and each experience was disappointing. The first two times I went to Ada, she took an extremely long time and constantly complained about the designs I wanted. On top of that, I was cut twice during my appointments. The third time I tried a different nail tech, hoping for a better experience, but it still wasn't great. What bothered me the most was the atmosphere. The staff made me feel uncomfortable, almost like they didn't want clients there. The energy is off, customer service is lacking, and the prices are way too high for the quality of service you receive. Went in to get a fill in. I also told the tech I needed to cut my nails. She never asked me how short. Too short for an oval shape and they looked bulky. Lost their almond shape. Paid $55.00 deposit on 80 dollar fill in which left with 27 to pay. Was told I owe 70.00 dollars due to nail cut down, gel color and another 10 on acrylic color. I have never had to pay for gel color, that's usually included in fill in. I left and called the owner and told her about the 20 dollar charge on gel. She told me she has always charged for gel color. And she also informed me that I should have asked??? I have never had to pay separate for gel color. And since I had asked to cut my nails that's what the tech did. But I'm always asked HOW SHORT!! She asked me to send pics of the nails but at this point she's making sure I'm at fault so why should I send pics. But I will send the pics to her and post here. I'm not going to lie ....probably the worst nail service I have ever recieved. Nails turned out crooked and they charged me $65 for plain, nude colored nails. It was a fill in. The lady started on me and then when her friend came in, she told me to wait on the side for a few minutes. I wanted to slap her but just held my tongue. On top of that, they don't sterilize any of the equipment and rush while doing your nails They have turned me off from going to Washington heights and getting my nails done altogether Hell no. I've only had my nails done by Alicia and she is def great- a perfectionist when it comes to her work, professional but also personable, and one of the few nail artists up here that works on a reliable schedule. This spot is a bit pricey but the nails last 4-5 weeks easy. This new set w/ gel and design was $85 and lasted 6 weeks read more

I am new to manhattan from dallas and saw this place and thought it was so cute. i went to go inside for a walk in and the lady who was doing nails was so rude and told me they dont take walk ins. I completely understand and would have totally have booked without any issue, but she was so rude and had the worst attitude. She's expensive but the work is good. However this review is based mostly on her insensitive response to my need to change my appointment. My father literally went into cardiac arrest the day before my appointment. I called to change appointment and she said "People call about their mothers and fathers dying to get out of appointments. I have to pay my workers." She wouldn't change my appointment without a new $50.00 deposit. I gave her 24 hr notice on the bedside of my dying father. It would've been my third time at this location and I was traveling from Brooklyn to get here. In an area where parking was horrible. The two times I went, I got to my appointment on time and always tipped generously. She lost a loyal customer over her insensitivity. read more

Do recommend appointment because wait tim can be a little long depending the day of the week. Place looks nice always switching things up. This is my monthly ritual. Koila is my nail Goddess!! She takes her time, is meticulous and an insanely gifted nail artist. She is THE BEST I've experienced and I'm 48, in the entertainment world and have had the best of the best. (Atleast, until I found Koila!) MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. If you don't, plan to spend a nice morning or afternoon to get Koila-fied. But It's worth every minute. I can go 2 months w/o seeing her and the only thing that will be needed is a fill. Koila and Aris are literally the best out there. Both are creative/talented when it comes to blings/colors/shapes. They never rush when doing your nails. I travel all the way from Brooklyn. Not once has she disappointed me. I'd definitely recommend to all friends and families. But I do suggest making an appointment instead of walking in. Walk-ins most times have to wait 2-3 hrs as they treat clients with appointments first. You guys ROCK!! Love you!!! read more

I was very excited to try this place as their Instagram page is full with beautiful nails and even more excited to know it was nearby my house. I Immediately felt uncomfortable the minute I walked in. But let's just get to my nails. I had scheduled a manicure and pedicure. My nail tech (whom was rough) without saying a word assumed I wanted tips. Although I made it clear when making the appointment and as she was removing my SNS that I didn't want fake nails. She without asking or saying a word took the nail clipper and chopped off half my nails. I again explain to her that I don't want fake nails just want to trim my natural nails a little bit. After seeing her mistake she stated she was going to give me nail extensions. I was disappointed but told her to keep the length she just cut. She disagreed and insisted on giving me extensions . Stating my nails are too short for the coffin shape as requested (short because she cut them!, 4 of them before I could pull away) She did the "design" a red French. My nails took 2hrs due to the countless Instagram breaks and texting. I was so disappointed I decided to skip the pedicure. Online I book the appointment for manicure and pedicure $90. I opted out of the pedicure and was taken back when I was still charged $90 for just my nails! I was not expecting a red French to be considered a high end design. I obviously respect people's time and work but i felt this was not a reasonable price. I believe she charged me for the extension that I didn't need or want in the first place.
