What pulled me in was their advertised a sign for a full set for $35. I walked in, requested a full set, and they also stated the pedicure was an additional $20.00. I said okay, I'll give them a try. Well, let's just say you get what you pay for (and charged then some...these people are crooks). I'd give these people half of a star if I could. The first lady that did my nails, I did not catch her name, but she was very kind and she did a really great job on my nails. She even honored my request to make them sure after I told her I needed them short for work. The second lady, however, who did my feet was an absolute nightmare. She was rude from the moment that I sat down. I tried to start a conversation and asked her what her name was, She joked and said my name is "Michelle... I am Michelle Obama" Then she starts laughing and speaking in her native tongue to another woman beside her, who also busted out laughing immediately after, As if she didn't want me speaking to her or asking her, her name. I decided to redirect my attention to my cell phone and not pay her too much mind to allow her to do her work. I'm a runner and I've also taken up dance so the bottom of my feet have gotten calloused due to running and dance discipline. This lady was so unkind and went on and on about how I have so many calluses were on my feet and kept holding up the back of the razor to show me the dead skin she'd removed from my feet as if I didn't love or take care of myself. I explained to her several times that I run and I dance and that I have calluses on my feet because of ballet, and she continued just being an atrocious person and making fun of my feet. I do not have ugly feet. I had calluses on my feet, but she was making this big hoopla inside of the salon, switching in and out of her native tongue and English. I was so disgusted with this experience that I tried to leave before she put the nail polish on. "Michelle" insisted that she was going to take the price of my pedicure off because my experience was so bad. When I got to the register, " Michelle" says some slick stuff to the lady behind the register and her native tongue ...they ended up charging me for both my nails, the pedicure and extra $20 because she did this limp ass wrap with saran wrap on the heel of my foot for like two seconds. My bill came to $88... There is barely any color on my toes and this was not an $88 job... As a writer, and as a black woman, and as a woman who just wants to experience being pampered and respected in an establishment where she's spending her money, I would not recommend this place to anyone. These people are despicable. Please save your money. Do not come here.
