After 2-3 days of calling with no answer I almost gave up however on my 3rd day I gave it one more chance and I was able to get a same day appointment right after work. I literally love my nails. The shop is small and very cute. Feels like a girls night. I walked in a few minutes before my appointment and I was able to get fight started. I was offered wine or beer and also pizza. My appointment was changed the night before from Then my nail tech Lorena was still 30 + minutes late, which is fine because it happens .. however she didn't even apologize for the lateness then took her sweet time settling down before starting my mani pedi. I had SNS powder on my nail prior to arrival. After soaking my nails.. She left some powder residue on my nails . I asked her to remove it bcs it will cause the polish on top to crack prematurely once the residue starts rising (do I have to explain this to a nail tech?) . She said she didn't remove it bcs she didn't want to scrape my nails any further. OK but did I ask you that or did I ask you to remove it? She painted my nails and left a noticeable streak (see picture) then when I tell her about it she gets defensive. Giving an explanation that she needed to get polish on the corner but if she did a new coat it would be too thick. I don't want to hear excuses. Overall it was not a clean set. You can see the pictures and judge yourself. On top Of it all it was so overpriced AND MY NAILS CHIPPED THE NEXT DAY. I went to The Nail Bar after a friend had recommended that I try them out. It was easy to find and there was parking available on the street. The only thing that didn't make me give them 5 stars was my 1 hour waiting time. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 pm with Cariesha and I wasn't in her chair until 3:30ish. Once I finally got in her chair, she started doing someone's eyelashes. So while sitting there, I found myself getting agitated, until the owner, Janet (who is so friendly and inviting by the way) offered me a slice of pizza. At first I declined, but then after sitting and realizing lashes take time applying them, I took her up on her slice. After I finished my slice, I was offered a complimentary glass of wine. You had the option to choose from red or white. I couldn't complain too much about the wait if I'm eating pizza and sipping wine. The staff was extremely nice and sweet. The Nail Bar makes you feel like you're hanging with your girls. The conversation is hilarious between the nail techs and customers. It's a very inviting place. I even had a problem with my card and Cariesha allowed for me to come back with cash to pay the rest of my balance. I even offered her a collateral so she could trust that I'd be coming back, but she declined. This place is cool in my book, only thing is work on time. And make sure you check in on Yelp! I got my nails done by a nail tech named Nikita and it was one of the best experiences ever. She was super gentle with my cuticles and she did the design that I wanted and it came out perfectly. She was super charming and knows what she is doing. This establishment looks clean and well kept. I really recommend anyone that lives in the area to visit this nail salon and ask for Nikita. I've seen this place and finally decided to go there. Had to call to make an appointment, which required them to take my credit card information and automatically charge $20 upfront but then it would go toward the final bill and this would also create a client profile. Ok. Once I arrived the vibe and the Marilyn Monroe decor was welcoming to this small environment. The bar itself is where the nails are done. Stephanie was nail technician. I was taken care of on time, she was frIendly and they have TV playing which was entertaining. I felt comfortable and went in for full set tips, sns powder and a sort of French manicure no gems or anything crazy. When done there was NO hand massage like most places provided. Got the receipt and there was a charge of $62.00 with the details of the service: full set, colored gel, fairy dUst( which actually looks and feelss like glitter). Which I paid in cash along with a tip. I was kind of annoyed that the receipt didn't show the original $20 that was already deducted from my credit card. When I inquired I was told that the total was actually $82.00. Moving forward, made an a future appointment which senDs are reminder a few days before, not knowinG that this messaging system doesn't communicate messages. I responded to cancel appointment. Nothing. Today I get a reminder again for my appointment I reply again to cancel appointment then I get a replay to call the business directly. So then I called and explained that I tried to cancel previously, unfortunately Stephanie just said "since it's a still same day cancellation your card will be charged $20." Well then this place will not have me as a customer again. I'm sure they are great but this experience left me with a negative impression. Just went there today for the first time. After all the reviews I expected to love it but after paying $70 for a acrylic full set that was lifting just 10 minutes after I left I was so disappointed. My nails were lifting, the polish wasn't applied right, dust particles were all inside the gel and I ended up with a bumpy top coat. So I simply decided to check it out. I scheduled an appt for 10:15am pedi and acrylic tips. Pedi was good. But I waited a long time to get my nails done. Didn't leave out of there until 2pm. Services were ok. No complaints. Nothing exceptional tho - especially for the price and the wait. I believe it was Janet who did my nails. It's a rather small setting, and the other nail techs were pretty loud and very opinionated. I felt forced to engage in unnecessary convo. In my opinion, if you like the new trendy, loud, blingy nails, with an atmosphere to match, this is the place for you. In my eyes this nail salon does not have a good versus bad nail techs. They have always serviced me very well. I've always enjoyed the ambiance in this place. They have always blew me away with the nail designs. I enjoyed the company of all the women that work here they are nice and very open to trying anything new. I have always noticed how organized the nail salon is kept, their nail polishes, the bathroom, the chairs, and etc. Everything is always kept very clean and very well up kept. Horrible work! However, I will return! The owner Janet was very nice and engaging, everyone treated me with lots of respect! My pedicure was done by a very nice spanish lady who took her time and made sure I was satisfied with her work. My nails however, were done by Denisse and I must say Im super upset, not only did the design come out horrible, they were all uneven, the polish turned black 2 days after I got them done, the acrylic was exaggerating she didnt file enough, the cuticle on my nail looks horrible not to mention all the bubbles on my polish bursted and I look like I have little black dots on my nails. I will never do my nails with Denisse, the owner had to actually guide her with certain things because she did not know what she was doing! read more

So today I took a chance and called Nail Bar to see if they had any open appointments. I am so lucky that they did. Stephanie is an amazing nail technician. She turned what could only be looked at as a joke for nails into a beautiful work of art. After going to a different salon, my nail shape was horrible and all of my nails were lifting and breaking. Stephanie fixed my shape, fixed my broken nails, and did a beautiful paint job and design. Not only is she super awesome at what she does, she is a great person too. My first appointment went ok. I got a confirmation text in advance to remind me of my appointment. The nail tech didn't show up on time so my appointment started 39 minutes late. I scheduled a second appointment and received no confirmation. I've had the flu the past few days so I forgot about my appointment so the confirmation would have helped a lot so I could have cancelled. I received numerous calls from a Florida number and then a third with a very rude person on the other line telling me about the appointment. I apologized for not being able to make it because as a hairstylist I do understand how much it sucks. But I won't be returning especially since the receptionist made a comment and hung up on me. So I went to the Nail Bar years ago and had very good experiences. So I decided to go again, but this time I was not satisfied. When I walked in I was not greeted my nail tech at all. I was getting a gel manicure and regular pedicure. She motioned me to come to the back and began my pedicure. That was fine. When it was time to do my gel manicure, I told her my nail had broken to the skin and was hurting. She just looked at me. As I put my hand through the plexiglass I could not really see how she was filing my nails. She flied them straight across and all the way down to the skin. She did not shape them at all. I had to tell her to "round the edges, please" and that is when I realized she filed all my nails off!!! Never has this happened to me. I told her it was too short, again she just looked at me. When I put my nails under the UV light they burned. I felt no care at all. She didn't even lotion my hands. Once done she just got of her stool and went to the back as I paid. Idk what her problem was, but I will never go back there again. I do not like the cold treatment at all. I could not behave that way in my line of work. The pedicure didn't last a week and the gel lasted 2 weeks. read more

The ambiance is nice, staff is friendly however they need to work on their appointment system. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived 5 minutes early only to be told that it was impossible to have an appointment because they were booked. I had booked the appointment via phone 2 weeks prior. On another occasion the nail tech was so rude and unprofessional and actually complained about the work she was doing on my nails TO ME! I emailed the owner months ago and never received a response. So I came here off of the recommendation of my sister. Every time she goes her nails look fab. I went on a Wednesday at 11:30. Danny did my nails. He was very sweet. Anything I didn't like he changed and didn't give me a hard time about it like the ghetto nail salons. It did take awhile but who doesn't want to get pampered for as long as possible. Anywho I wanted a design and it just wasn't working out so i was upset. I ended up getting a solid color with some nail jewels, gem, whatever it's called. My nails came out amazing. While I was there I wasn't offered any wine so that really bummed me out. Part of the reason I came was for the wine. The next day I came back and decided to get a pedicure with my sister. The original person that was suppose to do it decided she didn't want to wait an extra 10 minutes for us so she left without giving us any notification. I thought that was poor customer service. Luckily, someone else (I can't remember her name) agreed to do it. I got a regular pedicure and it included callus remover which is a plus as most places make you pay extra for it! Oh! I finally got some wine that day lol. The pedicure ended up being a disaster. My sister and my feet were all scratched up. My heels looks like someone punched them with knives. They hurt and looks like I need lotion even after applying. As for my nails they still look good except for the fact one popped off in the middle of my Miami vacation which was only two days later. After paying 70 dollars on nails there's no way that should have happened. I will be calling to get that fixed free of charge. Overall, if you want to want bling and booze with quality service this is the place for you. If you want a pedicure stay clear. P.S. It is pricey but most nail salons that do the same stuff will cost more and won't include unlimited wine so keep that in mind. read more

All I can say is Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Make your appointment NOW!!! I am a Manhattan girl who moved to the Bronx for the past two years and I have been to almost every nail salon in the Bronx trying to get quality nails and no one has been able to deliver until I came across the nail bar!!! I am a girly girl who is extremely particular when it comes to my hair and nails! I am a tough customer to please because if I am spending my money, I expect the best!! So for starters, I arranged a 10:45 app with Hue over the phone for Caresha to do my nails as many yelpers recommended. Hue was so professional in setting up my appointment and even asked what type of wine I preferred so I can be accommodated on the day of my appointment, now where do they do that?? I arrived at 10:45 to the nail bar and was immediately welcomed by Janet the owner. The decor is absolutely lovely, with a bar theme. Caresha greeted me and got started on my nails immediately. She listened to what I wanted and delivered beyond my expectations. The employees have a family oriented vibe as they extend the same genuine approach to all of their customers. After my nails were completed, Hue came to the front to get me and took me in the back to the pedi lounge where they have the most comfortable couches by the way. Hue remembered the wine and asked my if I wanted a glass. I accepted and then she began my pedi which is also not an easy job. Hue did the best pedi I ever had in my life I kid you not! So basically, I was able to get that pamper experience without breaking the bank. The prices are so reasonable the employees are a dream.
