My sister and I called ahead for appointments for SNS manicures and pedicures and were able to be seen within the hour. The salon itself is large and spacious and has a wide selection of polishes (both regular and gel) and dip powders. The regular pedicure was straightforward, but wasn't very attentive. There was paint on my cuticles with the new gel polish and the nail tech didn't do a thorough job at removing the previous gel polish (and her electric dremel kept running out of battery...). Hot stones were included with the pedicure which were scorching hot. Moving onto the manicure, it was rushed and the end result were sloppy, bumpy nails with polish left on my cuticles. I also have naturally long nails and she cut them 3/4 shorter than I had request (I had requested for half short) and my nails ended up looking stubby. I'm sure my experience was a fluke compared to the other glowing reviews. However, this was a one time visit as there are other nail salons closer to home that I would rather frequent. read more

Today is my birthday, it also happens to be mother's day, of which--I am. Mom and I traveled to enjoy some mother/daughter time at the local spa. Because the line was long, we opted for something smaller and found a cute little shop close by. To my surprise, we were greeted with nastiness. As we entered, we were stared at. No one said a word. Instead of hello, hi, welcome, bienvenue, Xin chào, an nyeong ha seyo, ANY KIND OF GREETING the host said "what do you want?" I opted not to respond with sarcasm and said I'd like to have a mani pedi. The conversation went toxic from there when the host continued with her unpleasant questioning instead of asking how we'd like to be helped. Obviously we're in a nail salon, so we'd like to experience your services. Maybe a menu offer would have been more polite! There was no language barrier, there was no confusion--they did not want to help us. I was sad because I love trying new salons and new experiences. Looks like we'll try elsewhere. read more

I was their last client on Dec. 18 and I will never return here. As much as the other reviews said, I came out of that nail salon with uneven length nails, 5 cuts on the tops of my nails, 1 incredibly deep cut on the bottom of my right ring finger, and a sloppy unfinished look. $60 for a terrible and painful experience, in my opinion. For my very deep cut, the salonist (don't know her name unfortunately, but she wears a green jade bracelet and has a NY Yankees card holder on her table) was already being very aggressive with my nails and constantly complained to me and their colleagues that what I was asking for (almond shaped acrylic nails) was too hard. Because of that, she was almost on a mission to shave my finger down to the bone; I was in visible pain and blood was coming out of my cut and I kept trying to pull away even after they noticed blood coming from my cut. They didn't apologize and yet proceeded to file the sides of my nail down, they also put acetone I believe on my cut to prevent infection, which made the pain even worse. On Dec. 19, I called in the morning to complain about my nails and they had me come in to "fix it". I come in, and the salonist is complaining and making fun of me to her colleague, laughing when she'd say the words "almond shaped", "infection", "uneven nails", etc. The way they "fixed" my nails was doing things the salonist should have done my first visit: cleaning up the excess nail polish, shaving down the collected product on the edges and bottoms of my nails, and putting neosporin on my cuts even though that shouldn't been done the first visit (I went home and did it myself) - she pulled it out of the same cabinet she grabbed her acetone and "disinfectant" that she used on me the first visit. She then finally apologized for the work she'd done. Unfortunate that I have to leave this review right before the holidays, and shame on me for giving them hope amidst the other reviews. read more

I noticed my toe was bleeding when she tried to put alcohol on it and it started burning. I went yesterday and asked the beautician to fix some of the nails that were cracked or uneven after she filed them, and she rolled her eyes and then they all started speaking in a different language and clearly making jokes from some words invoked many out. I finally found my nail tech in all of northern Virginia. I was hopping around trying to find a well priced and great work from a nail tech but I finally found one for the last year!! Christine is amazing . You don't have to worry about your acrylic nails flipping up even though it's way out grown. I usually wait a bit (on the budget honey) and my nails hold on so well from christine. She's so detailed and you can always trust your nails will be FIRE!! From the moment I first entered the nail salon, one of the technician, Mindy was very snappy and rude. When I sat down, they threw a towel at me, pushed my feet with her hands, didn't file my toenails properly, and cut my toenails and skin with a cuticle trimmer. Now, my feet are very sore and painful. When I asked her to be gentle, she started mumbling something in Vietnamese. I was very uncomfortable. In the end, Mindy told me to wait for the pedicure to dry without using a drying machine? You can see from the photo, cuticles were not properly removed, and the service was absolutely terrible. I made an appointment for their Nails Encolor manicure and pedicure combo ($98). The pedicure was ok, but I have definitely had better for less. Callus removal was minimal and the dried cuticle on my nails was not well removed. The manicure was not good. I have medium length natural nails, no extensions or overlays. There were several things about the service that could use improvement: The polish I had on prior to the manicure was not thoroughly removed and I left the salon with remnants visible on the undersides of my nails and on my skin. The file she used seemed too coarse for natural nails. It left the edges feeling rough. She also filed back and forth, which can cause peeling and splitting of natural nails, instead of in one direction only to avoid damage. The service description says the Nails Encolor manicure includes hot stone massage, which I did not receive. I did receive a paraffin treatment that was not listed as part of the service, which was fine, but the wax was not thoroughly removed after. I had to clean wax from beneath my nails when I got home. The actual painting of my nails seemed rushed (I let them know exactly what package I wanted when I made my appointment, so they should have known how much time to allot) and ended up looking rather sloppy. Polish layers were uneven, some cuticles were flooded with color, she did not wrap the nail tips for longer wear, and the top coat was applied so thickly that it got all over my skin, had bubbles, and wrinkled as it dried. When I asked her to fix the wrinkling her solution was to just put on another super thick layer of topcoat. It looked and felt so uneven that I ended up taking the polish off a few hours after I got home only to discover that the tips of some nails are now peeling and the base coat used by the salon did nothing to protect my nails from staining. read more

I loved this salon! My pedicure was really nice and the people are friendly. Face masks are worn and you're told to wash your hands as you enter the building. Everything was very neat and clean. Even though Covid was apparent all around us (face masks, social distancing, etc.), it still felt normal and everyone was in high spirits. I love when a nail salon feels welcoming and the technicians talk to you as if they've known you forever. I don't live in the area but my friends do. So when I visit again, we'll be back! read more

I have come here about 4 times hoping for a better experience each time since it's so conveniently close to home but have been disappointed every single time. My nails have been crooked. I have been cut or otherwise left bleeding due to lack of care. And this time, I went in with a simple request of removing my gel and went home with so much gel residue on my nails that I am sitting here filing and buffing it off myself (images attached shows the gel residue on at least half my nail of every finger). Made an appointment today for pedicure and nails and when i called i asked for someone who was well experienced as i was picky and got ensured i would have someone with experience. got there and when i was getting my pedicure done i told the lady i needed my nail cut because i grow ingrown and she could not remove them for some reason and when she tried she made my toe hurt more and then put acetone on it??? Once i let them know i would not be getting my nails done and only my toes the lady got upset and then told another one of her co workers and then her co worker started talking about me to the lady who's nails she was working on. I made my first visit to this salon today, and was very offended with two of the ladies in the salon. They were rude, and had terrible attitude towards me. The lady who did my pedicure and mani was very nice named Lin, unfortunately she didn't speak much english. When I asked about her speaking english, the rude lady says to me, "what do you want", with rude attitude and tone in her voice. When I called and asked for Linda to do my nails, because she was recommended to me, she says, "the old lady". The atmosphere here is horrible. I got a pedicure today and the COVID precautions were outstanding! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, I feel it's rude to speak another language while customers are around and that is my only gripe with this nail salon but other than that I'm very happy with my service and would definitely recommend it to friends. If you want to be berated and ganged up on because of computer malfunction, then please get your nails done here. My card got charged twice and I told them "it went through stop charging my card" and then the manager, Kim said "Nothing went through, it got denied, it says FAIL! Call your bank!" so loud the whole salon can hear it. So I defended myself and said "it did go through! Twice!" She then called their IT support and told him to "speak English!" to me so I can understand the situation and he confirmed that the payment didn't go through. I told him that it is your system and not my card with the issue, they didn't like what I had to say and kept saying it was my bank. My bank confirmed that it 100% went through. Kim told me to leave and I said I'm not leaving without my refund and some "special" customer told her to call the cops on me. I called the cops myself because there was no way to deescalate the situation when all nail techs and 1 customer was ganging up on me. IT support called 30 min later to confirm that I was right and they need to reimburse me but I wasn't taking all of that negativity and embarrassment for nothing. I told them to wait for the cops. People act all calm and heavenly when cops arrive. Which is definitely what Kim did. I got my refund and an apology from the owner but not Kim herself. The "special" customer stayed back to see the situation unfold and she told me to go back to where I came from, probably not knowing that I was Asian myself just like the other Asian nail technicians. It's amazing how someone's true racist side comes out when they want to be the center of attention. Be their guest!!!!!! The techs definitely need MANNERS and CUSTOMER SERVICE training! My nails look hella bomb but I am never ever going back to this RUDE AND BERATING place ever again. read more
