I am so happy this place is open on Sundays! I needed my eyebrows waxed, and I was nervous about trying somewhere new. They were a bit busy but I only waited for about 10 min. I went in for a dip with tip french tip with a square shape. They sat me down with someone who doesn't seem to know how to work with dip/tip extensions. I had the best experience at Nails Couture. As someone who recently moved to Metairie, I was looking for a shop I could stick with long term. I decided to stop by and give this place a try. I don't think I've ever experienced such a warm and friendly environment. The staff knew customers by name. The guy who did my nails was also thoughtful enough to bring me Kleenex and even opened a cough drop for me because my allergies were kicking my butt this morning. At this point, I am afraid I have to give the salon only 1 star. Today is 9/8, less than a week since I had my nails done. The first nail chipped in one day, I now have 5 nails that have grossly chipped polish. This is gel manicure; it should have lasted at least 2-3 weeks, not 1-6 days. The index finger on my right hand has the polish lifting off at the base of the nail. I need to have my nails redone already. However, it will not be at this salon! read more

I've gone to this particular establishment for years, and never have I ever been turned away because they were "CLOSED." Their normal business hours from Monday through Saturday are 9:30am - 7:00pm. I arrived at 6:32 and was told they were "closed" for the day. I explained that I simply needed a regular manicure with no bells and whistles (and also felt the need to point out "oh, I'm sorry I thought you guys closed at 7:00?" The gentleman's replied, "Yes, that's correct - and 7 o'clock is in 15 minutes! After I expressed how desperate I am because I my graduation ceremony is tomorrow, the man replied with a less than genuine, "well congrats, but still no time. However, you're welcome to get a brow wax...." I'd literally just walked in from having my eyes brows waxed not 5 minutes prior, so needless to say, my brows were not only very clean but the entire area BRIGHT RED making it abundantly clear that I was not in need of that particular service. I've never had any issues and have always received service that went above and beyond anything I would've ever expected. Today has changed my mind entirely. I do not recommend Nails Couture any longer - ESPECIALLY if you're attempting to prepare for a special occasion. read more

I stopped in for a pedicure when my schedule unexpectedly opened up. I was promptly greeted at the door, for one, the reception area is 1.5 feet from the door. =) I was politely told to select my nail color and then seated for my pedicure. For $27 you receive a spa pedicure treatment. It's not the type of treatment that would rival a luxury hotel, but it is a great experience for an impromptu pedicure. The water was the perfect temperature and as my toes soaked, I wish I could slip into the tub and have a complete spa experience. You know, the "Calgon, take me away" moment kind of came over me. My technician quickly appeared. She was nice and not too chatty. Probably because she had a lot to say to her colleague in Vietnamese, who has time for small talk with the clients when you can talk about the clients? Unfortunately, I can't recommend my technician because I didn't get her name. Oh, that's right, she never told me. She worked quickly and often asked if I was comfortable or if I needed anything. The service was good, but it didn't enamor me to become a regular visitor. My toes look good and on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being fabulous, I would say it is a 4. I did have a nice brief massage with conditioning lotion, but there was no exfoliating scrub, which is a critical part of the pedicure experience for me. It was a slow day, so the lack of clients made for a mostly quiet nail shop, which was pretty relaxing. The decor is nice. The nail stations are set up classroom style immediately facing you as you walk in and to the left is about ten pedicure chair and tubs. As you would expect, the chair offer heat and massage options and are pretty comfortable. There is a small room behind the wall of nail polish where additional services are performed...sounds pornographic, doesn't it? Sadly, I cannot confirm or deny that additional services would include a happy ending. My friend is a regular here and recommends Han, however, I wasn't given a chance to request her, so maybe she was there, maybe she worked on my feet, maybe today is her day off...I'll never know. If you're looking for a last minute place to get your nails did, I would recommend this place. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome and in addition to nails, they also do waxing, so if you need to clean up your brows, they quickly provide this service as well. It is conveniently located at the exit of the Earhart Expressway, which is another reason I chose this location; easy in and out! read more

I was there for 2 hours to have gel polish removed and get a regular manicure. i had 2 different ppl do my nails, not enough workers, and the ones i had experience with did not know what they were doing, definitely weren't sanitizing each area after someone had already been sitting there. I just looked at my bank statement, and they charged my card $10 more than the total on my receipt!!!! This place is horrible!!!!!!! Do not waste your time or money. GIVE THIS SHOP A TRY! I went into this nail shop on New Years Eve, (late review because I honestly couldn't remember the name) and it was literally the only shop open! Of course, I went in thankful for them being open, but nervous because I've never heard of them. So fast forward to the experience! Y'all it's my fave nail shop now. They celebrated New Years Eve by giving patrons wine and a good hearty laugh. I enjoyed the other patrons and the nail techs. The lady doing my feet had magical hands that transformed my feet for the occasion. I started going here a few years ago and even though it's a little bit out-of-the-way for me it's totally worth the trip. The staff is excellent everyone on the staff is very good. They are gel manicures and powder dip manicures are done very beautifully the quality is excellent the standards are very high and I highly recommend the salon. It's a little bit out of my way but it's definitely worth it. The owner, Mary has an excellent rapport with all of the clients. Everyone is super friendly it's easy to get to know the other clients as well as the entire staff and feel very comfortable when ever you go there. I can't imagine how anyone could be happy leaving this place. The old adage, you get what you paid for does not apply here. I paid $62 for a full set manicure and a pedicure and where do I begin with what went wrong... One my big toe, the salon worker left excess polish on the side of my toe. On my fingers, there was excess glue and gel. When I asked the guy if there was anything he had to get it off, he said to just use a brush when I get home. Two of my fingers were left bleeding and one finger had skin hanging by the nail bed. I will never come here to get my nails done. If I could give this place negative stars I would. read more

People are friendly (only to regulars really) shop looks very nice but it's a bit expensive for the mediocre nail work. They wanted 35 dollars for a gel manicure! My friend got acrylic nails here & her middle finger on both hands were crooked & poked up. She also didn't get the shape she wanted (asked for coffin got weird stilleto looking nails) I just got a normal manicure & you could see my nail towards the tip. It also chipped within 2 days!!! I have been on the hunt to find a decent nail salon. After many horrible experiences i found myself at nails couture. Mary did the dip polish on my nails and did an excellent job! I just went online to look at there hours because I'm due to get them redone. It's been 3 weeks since i got the dip done and other than the grow out they have help up better than any other dip job i have gotten anywhere else. Horrible service during the week. I went in and specifically asked for an eyebrow tweeze, while telling them I was sensitive to hot wax, and they proceeded to wax me anyway. I interrupted her midway through and she started tweezing for a little while, then interrupted to ask me again if she could wax a little bit. I told her to wax the sides and not the sensitive space between my eyebrows, and she proceeded to do so anyway. I told her I wasn't coming back, paid but did not tip, and walked out. When I immediately began scarring after she finished, I went inside and pointed it out to her and her coworkers. another employee proceeded to put some sort of antibacterial ointment on my face, while apologizing. Not once did they offer to refund my money. Terrible experience, and it's really a shame, since the woman who does my toes and tweezes my brows on Saturdays is a joy. I won't be coming back... better to pay the 23 to Ulta and have a professional clean up my brows, then trying to save a few bucks with this hit or miss place. read more

Great gel manicure and great service. I called on a whim and asked if they could get me in on my (late) lunch hour. Even though they said to come on in, I was worried that I'd be waiting forever. I walked in and they sat me immediately. They have a huge selection of colors, and the shop is very clean. She worked very quickly, and I was out of there with a little bit of my lunch hour to spare. The pricing seemed to be about average, compared to other salons around River Ridge and Metairie ($32 for gel). I had my nails done on a Wednesday, but ended up breaking one on Sunday. I went in on Monday to have it repaired, and she repaired it quickly and for no charge. I'll definitely return. read more
