Very disappointed with Nail Therapy. I got black gel polish done and it started peeling, which should not happen with gel. I was told I had a 5-day grace period to come back, but because of my work schedule I couldn't make it back in time. I was not satisfied with the atmosphere & how I was treated in Nail Therapy. I went to this Salon December 1st 2024. The woman who had done my nails was the owner of the shop I believe, she had never done my nails previous times I had gone (about 4-5 times)...but despite me never getting serviced by her, every time I came in I would receive stares from her that made me uncomfortable. this one particular day the shop was very busy & she was the only one available. at this particular shop they ask you before you get your nails done do you want a drink..when I got in her chair she didn't offer anything to me & she said nothing to me. I asked for double french (I understand they can be tricky) she did a good job with all of them except one nail which was uneven & I wanted them thicker. She asked me did I like them, I said yes, but asked if she could fix them so I told her politely "it's uneven & can you make them thicker"..I was met with an attitude, she wiped all my nails off, got up, faced the wall with her back turned to me & her hands on her hips. I was very confused & taken aback at what went wrong? she got up & started servicing another client who came in..she asked her how her day was, if she wanted a drink, etc...she then proceeded to talk about me in another language to her employees & I know because shortly after her saying whatever she said one of the employees started to speak to her client about how last week they had a girl come in with a nasty disposition pertaining to the service & started mocking her "attitude" about her nails. The situation the employee was explaining sounded very similar to mine..the girl was explaining the type of glitter she wanted & when the wrong glitter was applied, she asked them to fix it before they finished everything. & they were upset she spoke up about it. Mocking her. Another worker who was cleaning the shop was sent to do my nails & at that point I was agitated & uncomfortable at everything that I said nothing & let the other employee do it the best she could. I didn't have energy to argue & I had an event the next day, I didn't have time to find another shop either..it was already late. I believe that every person willing to spend their money with a business, no matter what race, how they look, etc..should be treated with equal dignity & respect. I was uncomfortable & honestly felt distraught after leaving the business I had been to 4-5 times getting services done. I am a business owner & I understand everything won't be perfect all the time, but I believe basic respect should be given when dealing with people who support you. read more

had a appointment was seated in the pedi chair and had to have the foot bath water warmed twice because I sat so long the water was cold. Got there at 4:20 and didn't leave until 7:15. on top of that the quality of work done was not great, I left with uneven nails and a big bubble on my nail. This was a once and done for me, I'll take my business elsewhere. I think the only reason the have a 4.9 on google is because they offer you $5 off when you leave a good review with picture. read more

This nail salon is very nice and seemed fairly clean. I asked for a pedicure. I was disappointed the nail technician did not spend much time removing the callused areas. When I got home and inspected my feet they were as rough as prior to getting the pedicure. Only one person was getting a pedicure when I arrived and I was seated right next to them. It was obvious that the nail techs wanted to talk to each other, not the clients. I asked if there were any polishes that did not contain the harmful chemicals but the nail tech didn't know. The massage was nice, but very short. For $51.50, I expected a little more time spent on me and at the very least what I preferred. Not sure why the reviews here are so high, because it's not deserved, the quality of service is lacking. read more

This was my first visit. I was able to get a walk in appt which was nice. There was parking on site. The staff was kind and it was clean and comfortable. I went for the $50 pedicure. The polish looked ok for the most part. A few of the nails could've used another coat. I was pleased that they were able to use the polish that I brought with me. I could be mistaken but I don't think the nail tech applied a base coat or top coat which I am used to back home in Maryland. Also even though my treatment included callous remover the silver grater tool was not used at all which surprised me. Only the pumice-like bar was used. Unfortunately that meant that my heels were left with dry peeling skin. I did speak to the nail tech about this issue right before I left and she tried to use a cutting tool to remove some of the dead skin and she apologized. I appreciated the extra effort but I know I'll probably need another pedicure very soon cause I still have some hard skin on my heels. The different scrubs, mask and lotion that they used were a nice touch. If I decide to visit here again, I'd definitely request use of a base and top coat polish as well as the silver grater tool. read more

This salon is so beautiful with all new equipment and nail bars/pedicure stations. Andy and Vy are both amazing. The quality of their work is excellent and they are just amazing people. Terrible!! They charged $61.00 for a French dip that every place else charges $50.00. They charge $5.00 to take the dip off!!!! How are they supposed to put dip on if they take the old dip off?? I feel completely ripped off! I will NEVER EVER go back to Nail Therapy in Metairie again!!!! read more

What a great experience in the salon and perfect mani/pedi. I went in to the salon spur of the moment for a gel mani/pedi before a beach cruise. First, I am so indecisive and my technician helped me pick the perfect color. We had great conversation and I felt so welcomed. Also, this picture was 6 days into the cruise and 8 days after the walk-in! You wouldn't be able to tell! No chipping! This manicure has survived the pool, smacking my hands on the elevator doors, snorkeling, lots of hand-held foods, and general living of a clumsy person. The wait is ridiculous for walk ins. They advertise that they accept walk-ins but from my experience they don't like them very much. I was allowed to sit for about 15 minutes once before I was asked to come back tomorrow. These girls do not like to be rushed, which is what makes them so good though too. They are not the typical revolving door/ in&out nail spa and it is so much better to have an appointment. You'll have their full attention and the work is top notch. Ive never experienced them speaking to each other in their language across the room (which I think is very rude) and I've been at least 5 times. They have genuine conversations with you the whole time. Also, I've never had my gel polish to last as long from any other spa and they are very clean which is a big plus for me. It is so hard to find an exceptionally good nail tech and they have exceeded my expectations. The prices are really reasonable and I would not hesitate to recommend Nail Therapy to a friend. I've been going for 9 years so far. A-1 service everytime. Appointments are preferred, but I don't have that kind of life all the time! So no matter who does my nails they look the same all the time. This place was awful. The Pedicure was $32 an they don't even wrap your legs with hot towels. Barely lotion and the polish is sloppy. I was shocked how much I was paying for a less then okay pedicure. I will never go back and I'm so disappointed I only can afford to treat myself so often and I would have been able to get better service and more relaxation at a high end salon for the money. read more
