It's time for some self-love, self-care! Jessica was my nail technician today and I'm very happy with my overlay & pedicure I loved how she converses with me while providing my services. She asked about my day, the upcoming weekend, work, etc. This makes me feel valued as a client! I also love how she took her time with my pedicure, understanding what areas needed a little more tender loving care. Another great characteristic she has is she listens. I have had technicians in the past say yes or ok but clearly didn't listen because the result was not as I described or requested. I had a slight ingrown nail and she took her time taking care of it without causing discomfort or broken skin, which is important. The decor and vibe of this salon is always warm and inviting. It's been remodeled for a while and they are always upgrading. It's clean and spacious. There's also lots of parking which is nice. Evenings and Saturdays are busy so plan accordingly! Great first time experience at this salon! I wasn't convinced in what colors/design I should choose, so Evan made sure to show me all the pictures of different colors and designs. I'm giving two stars because of the times Victoria did offer me amazing service and executed every design I asked her for any other time i've gone. I'm very disappointed in my last experience. I went in for a soak off and waited about 20 minutes before anyone even asked me what I was getting. Then 5-10 minutes later the next available tech decided to pick up someone walked-in after me. Overall the color is "okay" different color on model but my nail experience here was a no For me . Not clean work , acrylic is too far up my nail bed it's on my skin , so I expect my nails to lift in couple Days. made my fingers bleed 3 times. I waited a few weeks before leaving a review so I could be calm and concise when making this review. I have been living in Metairie for about 3 years and this has been my go to spot for about as long as I have lived here. What I loved about this place is the employees would always deliver what you came in for. As of recently the quality and overall sturdiness of the nails are not to par compared to before. Aside from that, the last time I visited to get a full set of acrylic nails the overall morale of the employees is just down. I can deal with rudeness as long as I get what I came for. Which I didn't, the nails only lasted me a week.. they also didn't look fully polished on the first day they looked as if I've already been wearing them for a few days. When I proceeded to check out they informed me that my card wasn't working which I knew it was because I used it before I even came, but hey stuff happens. Coming to find out they were simply out of printing paper and charged me 5 times. A total of $115 came out to $575. I was lucky to even have that much in my account at the time and I still tipped 20%. They informed me that when they close out there tabs for the night the money would be reimbursed (other wise I wouldn't have left) needless to say it wasn't and the manger coincidentally went on vacation the next day. It was super frustrating and the communication was far and few. They acted very nonchalant when I was beginning to display how stressed I was. They didn't offer any type of service for the mistake they have made they simply did not care, it took roughly a week to finally get my money back. I would no longer recommend this place to anyone due to its declining quality of services and there overall lack of hospitality. read more

1st time experience and I will not be returning. I found them on Instagram seeing as they had beautiful work so I made an appointment. The man hurt my nails so bad by peeling off my previous dip with the tip of a fake nail when I repeatedly told him that it was hurting and that he was ripping off a layer of my real nails! I told him to soak them off and he told me that they don't soak them off when I'm looking at a girl across from me with foil on her fingers He came back to say that they didn't have time to soak them off because they were about to close. Then when it came down to filing and shaping the nails he cut the skin around my nails so bad. The acrylic was applied so thin and uneven and a week later I have multiple breaks in my nails and I'm not rough. Wasted $140. First and last time, I will not be returning. read more

1st time getting my nails dipped in NOLA and they did a beautiful job! I love my nails. Then only difference i notices is that they use a gel top coat so im gonna see how long it lasts. In Texas they use regular clear coat and it last for weeks. Overall happy and whenever im home in nola Lavish Day Spa will be my go to. I just want to thank Lavish Day for saving my fingers. The previous shop I went to mutilated my hands and refused to fix them. I was able to make an appointment the next day to see if my nails could be fixed. After seeing my nails they decided to start over. They were gentle and reassuring that o would leave satisfied. I don't remember the name of the lady who did my nails but she did AMAZING and even helped me with a design. She made me laugh and was I totally comfortable the whole time. ((Backstory)) After having acrylic nails for almost one year, my nails experienced major damage. I decided to have them removed (at another location) about a month ago. On 2/10/24 I went to Lavish Day Spa in Metairie, LA to get a gel manicure service. Once I sat down and before the nail technician began, I mentioned to him about my nail journey (as above mentioned). He didn't say a word and proceeded to pick up the drill device and take it to my nails because I had on nail polish. I stopped him and said, sir it's regular polish on my nails. He said, I know. I then said, I don't want the drill used on my nails. He stopped, snatched off the apparatus from the end of drill then aggressively started to take the nail polish off my nails with a paper towel and nail polish remover. After removing the polish completely off my right hand he barely took off the polish on the left hand. Next, he picked up the drill and added a smaller apparatus to the end of the drill and tried to use the drill machine a 2nd time. I again stopped him and said, sir I don't want the drill used on my nails at all. Again, he took off that piece and threw that piece into the pile of tools and picked up yet another stick-like apparatus added it to the drill machine and proceeded to drill it into my nails a 3rd time. At that point, I felt so disrespected, upset and almost wanted to tear up. I didn't want to be confrontational from the beginning which is why I mentioned my nail journey when I sat down. I said to him, sir I told you I didn't want the drill machine used on my nails at all and you know what, I don't want this service at all. I'm so tired of y'all doing what y'all want to do even though I've told you multiple times I didn't want my nails drilled on. I picked up my items and left the shop immediately and will never do business with this company again. I know I'm not the only one who's had this experience and recommend everyone to take a stand and not allow this type of blatant disrespect to continue to go on and to stop patronizing their business and I guarantee their attitudes will change. But as long as we pay they college funds, car notes, mortgages, designer labels, etc. they'll continue to do this to US. So please, stop doing business with them until they change their blatantly disrespectful ways towards us. read more

I began going here a year ago , never had trouble with customer service but it has became H O R R I B L E , trust and believe. Last time I went I waited 2 hours to be attended & when I was attended EVAN rushed to do my nails & I was not satisfied, they were thick & just horrible ... This is the best nail salon in the south, not just the New Orleans area. When I lived in Florida I would fly here just so Victoria could do my nails. Tina gives the best pedicure in town. My feet are SO soft when I leave and the massage is amazing. I have had terrible experiences everywhere else that I have gone to in Metairie AND New Orleans (a total of 10 places.) I've been going to this salon for about 2 years. Sometimes it was great, sometimes not so much--- however today, I have decided to never go back again. I was getting a hot stone pedicure by a young new lady--very kind woman. Everything was going well until it came to the actual stones. My girl used the stones on my legs (for like 2 min... mind you it's a $45 pedi) and not my feet.. I politely asked her to use them on my feet (protocol) and she obliged until Victoria (the owner) decided to catch an attitude and get mad at me for asking her to do what she's paid to do. Victoria then comes up to me with 2 hot stones fresh out the water and applies them to my feet. When I tell you I felt like my foot was on fire. Girl. She scalded my foot with no apology. I had to tell her to stop and test the stone on her own skin, which she would not do. She knew it was too hot and she knew she was burning me... with an attitude. She finished the pedicure and the only reason this review is 2 stars because she angrily took off $5 for the hot stones. As I said earlier, somethings were a miss here. One time I got acrylic, the other owner cut my skin and I began to bleed. I told him that he cut me and my skin was burning and he laughed and told me to "let it burn". Another time I was there, and I noticed them talking about my feet in Vietnamese (a language I understand due to being the manager of a nail salon). Once they noticed I caught on, they shut up. They never say hello when you walk in the door. I've had great nails from this place (they are skilled techs), but it's not worth the rudeness, pain, and disregard for their customers.
