Noel is caring and careful; she runs a very clean establishment and is the only person I've ever visited for pedicures who is able to deal with my ingrown toenails! I had called ahead to make sure I wouldn't have to wait since I was in a hurry. And, when I arrived at the salon, I was immediately sat to have my nails done. It's in Lexington Center, but don't expect a fancy salon The place is tiny but comfortable. It doesn't accept credit cards, but who would complain about it when the manicure is $14 and the pedicure is $30. My nails were evenly filed and the cuticles nicely taken. One star less because, nowadays, we expect to use credit cards. And another star was taken because the place needs to be updated. But if you don't mind about this two items, you may give 5 stars. read more

UPDATE: Not sure what went wrong, but not as good as they used to be. The last few times I've been in have been really disappointing, and it has been the same deal each time: I don't ever make an appointment, since I'm never really sure when I will *actually* leave work, and I hate being late for or canceling appointments. So I always do a walk-in, sometimes even on my lunch break. And I TOTALLY understand that walk-ins can't always be accomodated. Heck, I would understand if they could never take me - my fault for not making an appt. But the thing I hate more than anything is when they say nothing, just look at you skeptically, glance at the clock, then proceed to push you into the back room and rush through a pedicure. I'd rather just not get in at all than to have them do a total rush job, act grumpy and murmur to each other in a foreign language the whole time, then charge me $35 for a pedicure! Just not worth it. Incidentally, $35 seems like a lot even for a really good pedicure (this is NOT an upscale spa experience or anything - the back room is very dingy and the chairs are very close together so you're basically playing footsie with the soccer mom next to you). It's near my work, and I've stopped in a few times for mani-pedi's, once for a quick lunchtime manicure (err, I mean off-site meeting). Noel is lovely and it seems that most of the women that work there are either relatives or close friends. It's not a super luxe spa environment, but they know how to do a great job, and a pedicure from there seems to last longer than anywhere else I've tried. If you have the opportunity, ask for Phong (that might be spelled wrong). She gave me the best mani-pedi the first time I was there, and also happens to be a pretty awesome chick. read more

I've been going to nails by noel forever and it's always been great. She is very kind and accommodating and prices are good even with recent increases due to covid. My pedicures last awhile and they are good quality. It is cash only now so you need to be prepared! read more

This nail salon is situated in a cute little red house on a side street in charming, uppity Lexington Center. I like the homey setting, but I'm not sure was worth the $45 I paid (that was a bit ago). I don't remember them having the "real" nail driers--and when my digits are wet and I can't flip through a magazine, and I'm antsy to get on with my day, that's a bit annoying. If you're in the neighborhood--and not in a rush--definitely give this place a try. Unlike Waltham, Lexington does not seem to have the same plethora of nail salons. I wish I could write a good review for this place but I just can't. Unfortunately the competition is high and the quality of the manicure and pedicure are just OK. The staff would benefit from going to JoJoBa in Arlington or Queen Bee In Brighton and have a service done themselves- then they can see what the competition is doing and why its taking away their business. read more

I've always had great experiences with manis and pedis here. They are honest, and have fair pricing. It is a small space, but they are taking good precautions due to Covid (temperature checks, extra hand washing, spread out people, etc). I highly recommend them and will continue to go back. I've been going for longer than ten years I think! I'll add that it's not as fancy as some places you might go, but it gets the job done and your nails will last. I definitely prefer it to some of the more well known places that I've tried. read more

I went to Nails by Noelle throughout high school. It was my go to place for getting my nails done and they always did an excellent job. Throughout college I would go every time I would go home and Noelle would always remember me and was excited to see me back. Now living half way across the country I wish I had some place as clean and consistent as Nails by Noelle. Do make an appointment--when you have one you will actually get your appointment started near the time of the appointment. Ever since I moved to the Greater Boston area, I've been searching for a new nail salon. So far, I've been to some ridiculously overpriced places and received a less than stellar refill/polish job. Nails by Noel has been one of the better salons I've been to. Yes, it's a small salon and there aren't many technicians so I do recommend making an appointment. Don't go here- it might have been good years ago, but now you're better off going to Lexington Nails. Nail polish is old, and not very good- my manicure chipped off in a couple of days, and the lady working there (Noel?) lectured me when I asked her to smooth out some air bubbles. My friend's nails were done by her poor husband, but he did a much better job on her nails than noel did on mine. Make an appointment at Lexington nails- it's worth the wait oh additionally, she has a lot of books about foreclosure, and weird soap operas are always playing on mute with no captions. Best nail salon around. Noel and her staff are so nice and personable. They do a beautiful job and a regular manicure lasts for 10 days, whereas at other salons a manicure only lasts 3-5. Their prices are great, $14 for a Manicure and great selection of colors. Clean place and parking in the lot in the rear of the building. read more

This place wasn't horrible horrible, but I've definitely experienced better. When I got there there was a lady sitting reading a magazine and her greeting to me was "yeah, what do you want?" my response "what are your prices for a mani/pedi?" her response "read the board behind you" ok ---- a better response would have been "the price board is behind you, it tells you pricing for everything" so first off I should have just walked out then and there for lack of customer service but I was desperate for a mani pedi so I stayed. I was told to choose a color. I was having trouble choosing a color so I was taking some time and I was told "hurry up" I got my service done -- nobody said a word to me during my pedi or mani. I left an 8 dollar tip..... sorry I'm not tipping you big when you're a jerk and your customer service, or lack there of, is horrible!!! I won't return. read more
