Today I had a mani-pedi at Nails by Lisa, my first nail salon adventure since the pandemic. I am a high-risk 59-year-old. Lisa's salon is clean, hygienic and nicely appointed. A sterilizer holds all metal equipment. Lisa uses clean, fresh towels and the pedi foot bath is sparkling. She wore a mask and medical gloves the whole time I was having nail services. But all the joyful parts of having your nails done were present. Her little salon is soothing (meditation music) and offers a nice selection of OPI polish colors. Nothing messy or chaotic here. One client at a time. I left with nicely shaped pearl-white fingernails and toenails. My feet were baby-soft, my hands were massaged with tangerine-lemongrass lotion. In three days, I'll be the mother of the bride. My hands and feet are ready. CLEAN AND GREAT QUALITY! For the first time ever, I didn't have sore nails after getting dipping powder! Lisa uses manual tools to push cuticles back and trims them with a nipper, which I find comes out a lot neater than when manicurists use an automatic tool to "shave" cuticles back.
