There was a girl at work that had the cutest nails every week and it turned out that she was getting her nails done by Lannie. I actually drove from South Bay to San Gabriel (LOL) because I was really enamored and respected her artistry. I loved the little salon and how professional Lannie is. She's been in the industry for well over two decades and it clearly shows. I appreciated her patience with me as I'm new to getting nails done. The single one star review is actually from a temp employee that is no longer with Lannie! Her prices are on par with most salons. If I remember correctly, it's $40 for single color gel, and then $2-3 per nail for art, $2 per nail for gold flaking. Obviously it really depends on the designs you want but expect about $75 on average, and don't forget to tip either. If you're not sure, she responds pretty quickly to estimated costs. The gel manicure lasted me about 2 weeks, and I ended up taking mine off at home but didn't do it correctly so my nails are pretty bad and will probably take a few more weeks or months to get back to what they were like before. I'd just get it taken off for $10 or so at a reputable salon next time I get gel. I'd love to come as a regular but the salon itself is too far away for me to be comfortable to make that time commitment (2 hour roundtrip + 2 hour appointment) every two weeks. So for now, I think I'll probably try to stop by when I have a day off or for special occasions. Lannie's really busy, expect to need to book an appointment 2-3 weeks out. read more

I haven't been to many nail salons because most of the ones I've been to are just a straight up disappointment. I'm usually always rushed, being rudely talked to because I'm new, and I always end up with nails I'm not happy with, so Lannie definitely surprised me! Not only was she nice but super helpful as well. I showed her the designs I wanted, and although I switched my mind a few times, she was still really nice about it. My aunt got a French manicure and pedicure, which were both done beautifully (Her total $47). Lannie is very gentle so everything she did on my nails didn't hurt. She's also very detailed oriented when she worked on our nails which I am so grateful for because I'm pretty picky and have a bit of OCD when it comes to perfection, but she did not disappoint us :) My set was $45, which is cheaper than a lot of places! She works alone so do be patient with her and do make an appointment! It would be nice if she had another person to help her out so that the process could go by a tad faster, but I also understand that it's hard to find someone reliable and skilled. I've gone to several shops here and there for weddings, occasions and just because, but never found a place where I didn't feel rushed, super clean and reliable and knowing that things are safe. LOL, well everyone I have sent over has LOVED her, including my own staff. Well, even more are asking for her contact as the days go by. 5) She takes care of you: Not her fault at all, I chipped my own nail from working and well, what did she do?? She had me come in help me put some acrylic on it so it wouldn't chip anymore to save it, and repainted it for me. 6) She is funny: When I do my nails I feel like I'm relaxing and having a good time. I've been going to Lannie for years and she is the BEST at what she does.. Lannie is very meticulous, detailed and takes her time with you. Other nail salons I went to in the past would rush during the appointment to get on to the next client and the work wasn't even half the quality as Lannie's. Her salon is also not only cute and welcoming, but CLEAN! All the tools are sanitized and opened in front of you, there isn't any dust anywhere, and even her bathroom is spotless. During COVID, Lannie is taking extra measures to keep everyone safe- I've been the only client during my appointments and we both wear masks. She has 20 years of experience! I got my acrylics removed today and she did a pretty good job. She managed to remove the super hard glue underneath my acrylics that I got done at another salon. I messaged Lannie through Yelp to see about getting an appointment for a fill; she responded right away and luckily she was able to fit me in! I found street parking and rang the doorbell at the front entrance to find a clean and welcoming facility at the D Spot Salon. Lannie greeted me and started working on my nails right away.
