He even gave me my pedicure the first time I came to the establishment. Anyways, he comes outside, gloves still on, to smoke a cigarette. Then walks back into the establishment and if he taken his gloves off after that.... is beyond me. who knows. I KNEW I shouldn't have came back. But a girl needs a pedicure BAD. So I went in the next Friday, earlier.. and I make sure I DO NOT GET SAT WITH THE BALD GUY! I even asked the sleep deprived man who my tech would be, and thankfully it was one girl who has done my nails before. Everything is all good until home girl is cleaning my cuticules and she goes too deep into one side of my toe and I jerk but don't say anything because I WANT TO GIVE HER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT???? And she KNEW that she had hurt me and then she quickly put down the tool and decided to work on something else. And I actually like the place even though I got charged $45 for the pedicure, $10 for a french tip?????? (one big toe got a tip on because it was badly broken down, the toe in question) and $15 for gel and one Free infected toe.

This time, I had Whitney as my nail tech and she was wonderful. She took her time, was super gentle, and gave me an incredible foot and leg massage--probably the best I've had at a nail salon. Something I really appreciated (and this might sound weird to some) is that Whitney was very quiet. I actually didn't feel like being social during my appointment, and she let me enjoy the service in peace without any pressure to chat. That made the whole experience even more relaxing. The salon itself is always spotless, calm, and quiet. I've never been when it felt busy or chaotic, which makes it feel like a little escape. Between the cleanliness, the vibe, and Whitney's great work, I'll definitely be back again.

On a positive note, something happened on the morning of my appointment that caused me to stop removing my own gel polish. I called & was able to push my appointment time back and add polish removal to my service. I requested polish removal, manicure, Dazzle dry, & a design. Right before the polish removal started, I informed the nail tech that there was only gel polish on my nails. The gel polish was a little stubborn during removal. Imo, the polish just needed to be filed down a little more. The nail tech made the assumption that I had hard gel on my nails. I didn't. She then put a stronger polish removal that was applied the same way nail polish is applied. I had started removing some of my polish before the appt. My left pinky had the least amount of polish, but the same amount of remover was applied to that finger as was applied to fingers with more polish, and she started with my right hand. We'd discussed possibly switching to a gel mani. By the time she made it to my left hand, she was mentioning how my fingers were red, not considering that I'd mentioned the tingling. She thought it was best to stay with Dazzle Dry; not a problem. By the time we were towards the end of polish application, she mentioned that the designs used with Dazzle Dry would be different than the regular designs. I still had nail art as part of my requested service. She decided that my polish color choice didn't need a design. I was given the nail files & lotion used during my appointment. I'm still looking for a new nail salon, unfortunately. After this $80 appointment, I didn't believe Frenchies would be my new nail salon.

My technician was super attentive and gave me one of the best calf massages I've had during a pedicure--truly terrific and relaxing. I left feeling pampered and refreshed. I was able to make an appt on Yelp. They were friendly in the phone and book me same day. I was serviced by Kiana. She allowed me to have a relaxing pedicure in the massage chair without talking to me. Then when she gave me the manicure we had a great conversation. She was professional and offered great service and quality work. She only works Saturday and Sundays but the salon is open 7 days a week. They never close. They offer bottled water, sparkling water, champagne and a variety of alcoholic beverages. I have no complaints. Because I get simple and easy services, I'd return again. I had no issues.

Today I arrived at 10:03am, and by the time I worked my way up to the counter, at 10:10 am I was told I would need to come back in an hour to see Lana since she was already with a client. This is common and fine, especially if you have a preferred tech. So, I was more than happy to return. I returned under an hour later at 11:05am and was told she was already with someone else and I mentioned I was back in less than an hour later. That's when the receptionist could have cared less. She stated she didn't tell me that, and that it was someone else, which it was. The lack of communication and care clearly relayed we don't want your business, or you can just keep trying. The dismissive attitude was clear. So, time to move on. What a shame. I have come here for years and now none of that matters.
